Appearance
Di Jun normally appears in humanoid form, but his true form is a Three-legged Golden Crow. When Qing Xuan kills him, he reverts to this form before his Nascent Soul is drawn back to the Sun Star 94.
- Three-legged Golden Crow true form.
- Wields and emits Solar True Fire 78 104.
- His Golden Crow body and remnant soul are merged into one of the Golden Crows on the Fusang Tree during his restoration 94 96.
Personality
Di Jun is intensely ambitious and politically calculating. He seeks legitimacy for the Demon Race from Hong Jun, founds the Demon Court, defeats the Immortal Court, and aims to extend Demon Clan control over the entire Primordial Great Land 38 62 63.
His pragmatism becomes ruthlessness during the conflict with the Witch Clan. He authorizes the secret capture and slaughter of humans to forge a weapon against the Witches, later escalating into an attempted extermination of the Human Race when the original plan fails 78 91. He openly defends this outlook as the “law of the jungle,” only to have the same logic turned against him when he is defeated 94.
Despite this cruelty, Di Jun is not reckless in every conflict. He avoids committing the Demon Clan against multiple future Saints for Kunpeng’s sake and recognizes the danger posed by Nuwa’s support for Qing Xuan 48 62. He also values the Demon Clan’s survival over his own life when facing Qing Xuan and Nuwa 94.

- The formation was shattered by Hong Jun during the conflict over the Demon Clan’s massacre of humanity 92.

Background / History
Establishment of the Demon Court
Di Jun and Tai Yi resent Hong Jun’s appointment of the East Prince and Queen Mother of the West as leaders of the male and female immortals, viewing the new offices as obstacles to their effort to unify the Demon Race 32. During the final Zixiao Palace proceedings, Di Jun formally requests permission to unite the Demon Race and establish a Demon Court. Hong Jun grants him a space atop Buzhou Mountain as its site 38.
Di Jun later confronts the East Prince’s Immortal Court in the East Sea. After the Immortal Court launches its attack, Di Jun deploys the Primordial River Luo Array and helps rout its forces; Tai Yi kills the East Prince, allowing the Demon Clan to absorb many surrendered Immortal Court members 62.
Campaign for Demon Clan Supremacy
After the Immortal Court’s fall, Di Jun seeks greater control over the Primordial Great Land. He leads the Demon Clan against the western Demonic Calamity and displays the Myriad Stars Array’s destructive power 63 64 77.
To prepare for the eventual war with the Witch Clan, Di Jun orders the Demon Clan to refine weapons using human souls. Testing proves that the resulting blades can pierce Witch bodies with ease, leading him to expand the capture and killing of humans in secret 78.
When the Demon Clan cannot gather enough resentful souls, Di Jun accepts Zhun Ti’s proposal: he provides five thousand Golden Immortal demons in exchange for a means to complete Demon Clan fortune. He then seeks Hong Jun’s support for a Heavenly Marriage with the Tai Yin Immortals and for Nuwa’s required role in officiating it 82 83.
War Against Humanity and Death
Concerned that Nuwa and Qing Xuan will obstruct his plans, Di Jun chooses indiscriminate violence against human tribes. He offers rewards for humanity’s extermination after the Three Ancestors of Humanity swear an oath that burdens the Demon Race with karmic debt 91.
Nuwa, Qing Xuan, Fu Xi, and the Witch Clan retaliate. With the Heavenly Court under attack, Di Jun fights Di Jiang and the other Ancestral Witches using the River Diagram and Luo Book, but is eventually confronted by Qing Xuan after Hong Jun withdraws from the dispute 92 93.
Qing Xuan defeats Di Jun, strips away the River Diagram and Luo Book, and kills him with the Purple White Gourd’s white light. Hong Jun secretly saves Di Jun’s Nascent Soul by drawing it into the Sun Star, where it merges with a Golden Crow and begins a hundred-year restoration 94 96.
Return and the Witch-Demon War
Di Jun returns by the time of the Witch-Demon decisive battle. After witnessing the deaths of eight Golden Crows, he joins Tai Yi in declaring war on the Witch Clan 104.
Once the Witch Slaying Sword is completed, Di Jun uses it to inflict crippling losses on the Ancestral Witches, transforming the conflict into a severe crisis for the Witch Clan 104.
