Background
Fu Xi is Nuwa's elder brother and a master of the Art of Deduction. He first encountered Qing Xuan while the latter was still an Innate Gourd Vine on Buzhou Mountain. Recognizing the vine's sentience, Fu Xi played the Fu Xi Qin beneath its trellis for a century, helping Qing Xuan's soul spread through his main body and awaken more fully 3.
He understood that a Top-grade Innate Spiritual Root achieving form transformation was nearly unprecedented and forbidden by the Heavenly Dao. Nevertheless, he offered to play for Qing Xuan for ten thousand years if it would help him become the third such spiritual root to transform 3.
After Qing Xuan revealed the Eight Trigrams Diagram, Fu Xi mastered the Innate Bagua within years. His subsequent forty-nine-year discussion with Qing Xuan led him to comprehend the Great Dao Deduction Law, while his qin music became a means of conveying his understanding of the Innate Deduction Dao 4.
Personality
Fu Xi is protective, considerate, and strongly guided by gratitude. His concern for Nuwa's safety and strength motivates much of his early cultivation; he believes he must become powerful enough to protect her in the dangerous Primordial World 3.
He is also cautious about the consequences of foresight. When Qing Xuan warned that divining one's entire future would invite worry and entanglement, Fu Xi accepted the advice and restricted his divinations to decisions that genuinely required guidance 4. Later, he deliberately halted an imminent breakthrough rather than risk drawing the Dao Ancestor's attention 36.
Although he values freedom over externally imposed power, Fu Xi accepts responsibility for the Human Race without hesitation. He considers leading humanity to prosperity part of his duty as both Human Emperor and leader of Human Teaching 67 81.

Story Role / Major Arcs
Early Alliance with Qing Xuan
Fu Xi's meeting with Qing Xuan begins their long-term alliance. He helped awaken Qing Xuan's wisdom with the Fu Xi Qin, received the Eight Trigrams Diagram from him, and became one of the first great beings to treat Qing Xuan as a sentient Daoist rather than a harvestable spiritual root 3 4.
Overseas Three Immortal Islands
After Qing Xuan discovered Fangzhang Island, Fu Xi traveled with Qing Xuan and Nuwa to Zixiao Palace and later claimed Penglai Island as his dojo. He and Nuwa moved Penglai and Yingzhou to connect with Fangzhang, forming the united Overseas Three Immortal Islands 20 52 53.
Establishment of Human Teaching
Fu Xi established Human Teaching, transmitted the Martial Dao, and received the Kongtong Seal as its destiny-suppressing treasure. Though the act brought immense merit, Hong Jun's Primordial Violet Qi interrupted his attempt to prove Dao through merit and became an enduring restraint on his path 65 67 100.
Reincarnation and Human Emperorhood
After deducing the destinies of the Three Emperors and Five Emperors, Fu Xi agreed to reincarnate as the first Human Emperor. Qing Xuan, Nuwa, Houtu, Xi He, Chang Xi, and the Queen Mother of the West arranged protection for his Nascent Soul, physical body, and future human life 120 121 123 124.
As a human sage, he established the Eight Trigrams and calendar, completed his merits, and became Human Emperor. He later departed for Fire Cloud Cave after Qing Xuan used the Thirty-Six Grade Creation Green Lotus to block Hong Jun's attempted interception 139 143.
