Background

Nuwa’s intention to create humanity develops from her repeated observation of the Primordial Ten Thousand Races. While traveling with Qing Xuan, she records each race’s strengths and flaws; Qing Xuan supports this effort because he knows her future creation will incorporate the advantages of many races. They recognize, however, that no race can be perfect. 17 54

Nuwa creates the Human Race by using her own Essence Blood as a guide and formally gives it the name “human,” a term Qing Xuan had habitually used for cultivators who assumed the Innate Dao Body. The act earns immense Heavenly Dao Merit: seventy percent goes to Nuwa, twenty percent to the newly created humans, while the remainder is divided among Qing Xuan, the Universe Cauldron, and the Gourd Vine. 59

The first generation includes three thousand Innate Humans with Golden Immortal cultivation, including two who reach Primordial Unity Golden Immortal. The later mass of ordinary humans lacks cultivation and has a lifespan of only a few hundred years, prompting Nuwa and Qing Xuan to recognize their vulnerability. 60

After their creation, humans are judged too vulnerable to remain at the Foot of Buzhou Mountain. Nuwa orders them eastward, while Qing Xuan escorts them but refuses to solve non-lethal difficulties for them, insisting that humanity earn its own right to survive in Hong Huang. 60

The migration produces many independent tribes. Some reach the eastern coast; others settle along the way, allowing humanity to spread across the Primordial Great Land rather than remain concentrated in a single settlement. 61

Demon Race Calamity

The Demon Race discovers that human flesh and blood accelerate cultivation and that resentful human souls can be refined into weapons capable of injuring the Witch Clan. Di Jun consequently authorizes covert massacres of remote human tribes to collect souls for the Witch Slaying Sword. 77 80 82
