Background / History
Vill-V originated from Dusk Street, where she worked as a magician and carried out a series of fraud cases. She forged an identity as an Advanced Mechanical Dynamics student, but the machinery she built to oppose Moth of the Fire was genuinely far ahead of its time. Mobius’ investigation established that Vill-V’s claimed academic identity was false, while her hostility toward the Honkai was sincere. Moth of the Fire offered her a conditional release pending a further review. 61
Before joining Moth of the Fire, Vill-V was exiled on an island. There, she armed monkeys that had learned to use fire, treating the resulting conflict as an experiment. She later proposed giving humanity a nuclear bomb she had developed; the weapon was eventually associated with the destruction of humanity’s last three cities. 61
Following Hypermutation Surgery, Vill-V began dividing her consciousness. The resulting identities were not independent strangers occupying one body, but facets of Vill-V herself: the Fraudster originated the other personalities, while those personalities collectively constituted the complete Fraudster. 59 60
One division, “Extreme Evil” Vill-V, was created to contain malice and was imprisoned for 50,000 years. Extreme Evil later claimed that she had been used as a sacrifice to bear the damage caused by an unknown entity’s erosion. 66
Identities and Thought Divisions
| Identity | Traits and role |
|---|---|
| Fraudster / Id | The original personality. Quiet and comparatively unassuming; she explains that she could become “someone else” even before gaining thought-division abilities. 73 |
| Expert | Meticulous researcher who measures data and corrects technical flaws in Vill-V’s inventions. 59 |
| Grand Magician | Flamboyant performer who redesigns inventions for spectacle, engineers surprises, and delights in provoking reactions. 59 60 |
| Vill-V of the Overlooking Stars / Mystic Scholar | Grandiose and prophetic-minded; interprets inventions as messages or warnings for future humanity. 59 |
| Vill-V: Gourmet | Concerned with distinctions and details, objecting to the careless lumping together of unlike things. 76 |
| Conductor | One of the identities summoned for Vill-V’s final one-person show. 76 |
| Vill-V: Model Five | A notably quiet identity during the group’s appearance. 76 77 |
| “Extreme Evil” / “Heinous” Vill-V | The division burdened with malice. Initially appears to be the mastermind behind the Paradise incidents, but ultimately works toward destroying the Herrscher of Erosion. 66 72 77 |
“My name is the crowd, for we are many.” 59
Personality
Vill-V is defined first by genius rather than by her divided consciousness. Her intellect lets her create technology others mistake for fraud or impossibility, and she regards even difficult problems as matters of time. 62 75
Her personalities create conflicting priorities in every project. Expert may build a functional device, only for Grand Magician and the Overlooking Stars to alter it into something flamboyant or impractical. This makes some of Vill-V’s devices exceptional weapons and others little more than toys or spectacles. 59
She has a theatrical streak, especially through Grand Magician: she takes bows, values applause, stages dramatic exits, and treats conflict as a performance. She also habitually leaves backdoors in her inventions and plans, making her difficult to trust even when she is working toward the same objective as her allies. 58 60 73
“Extreme Evil” Vill-V is bitter over her imprisonment and willing to present herself as a villain, but her actions against the Herrscher of Erosion reveal a willingness to sacrifice herself for the larger plan. 66 72 77
Abilities & Skills
Genius Intellect and Engineering
Vill-V is described as the pinnacle of human intellect. Each of her thought divisions retains genius-level capability, allowing her to design advanced machinery, analyze barriers, and lay plans that account for other Flame-Chasers’ reactions. 59 62
- Built machinery capable of opposing Moth of the Fire despite having no genuine mechanical-engineering student identity. 61
- Created the Fifth Divine Key and multiple Anti-@@REF_ENTITY_3356672@@ Weaponry designs. 61 63
- Tested the Herrscher of Constraint’s barrier on herself and established that it possessed a threshold. 60
- Her inventions can be compromised by conflicting modifications from her own identities. 59
Thought Division and Segmentation
Vill-V can divide, retrieve, and re-divide mental aspects of herself. Her thought divisions enable multiple versions of Vill-V to act separately while remaining parts of one whole. 59 73 77
- Uses thought segmentation to trap targets in her consciousness space. 68
- Can manifest top hats as a means of attempting to confine Raiden Mei through segmentation. 68
- Recreated her identities from thoughts she had first become and then split off, sabotaging Extreme Evil Vill-V’s ability. 77
- Further division carries a limit: too many divisions would make it difficult to preserve each one’s genius-level standard. 68
Memory and Consciousness Manipulation
Vill-V’s technology and mental domain allow her to access, alter, and weaponize memory-related spaces. 58 60
- Offered Raiden Mei the Memory Peeking Hat, which reads memory data and can inspect another person’s memories. 55 58
- Remodeled her memory world into a structure resembling the Theater of Domination after examining Mei’s cognition. 58
- Scattered her memories across separate thought divisions, making them difficult for Mei and Pardofelis to navigate. 60
Deception and Strategic Planning
Vill-V excels at deception through selective truth. She manipulated Kevin and Mobius by telling them facts in a context designed to make them draw the conclusions she needed. 69 73
- Left a hidden message asking whether an “absolutely safe place” existed in The Past’s Paradise, preserving a clue before full erosion. 63
- Concealed her opposition to the Herrscher of Erosion by appearing to surrender to it. 73
- Used the apparent deaths of Kevin and Mobius, as well as her own apparent betrayal, as parts of a larger plan against Erosion. 72 77
Magic and Performance
Vill-V is the King of Dusk Street Magic and frames her most important operations as shows. Her “one-person show” manifests the full group of Vill-V identities at once. 61 76
- Uses spectacle, misdirection, firearms, and summoned machinery as part of her performances. 76
- Piloted the Special Armed – Model Nine during the confrontation with Extreme Evil Vill-V. 76
- Defeated Extreme Evil Vill-V by converging the totality of both sides into a direct collision. 77
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Memory Peeking Hat — A hat that reads memory data and allows its user to inspect memories; Vill-V uses it to draw Mei into her memory world. 55 58

- Mobius — Fellow researcher and frequent target of Vill-V’s provocations. Mobius investigated Vill-V’s false identity and later becomes a key recipient of Vill-V’s concealed information. 60 61 73
- Kevin — The intended target of Vill-V’s Anti-@@REF_ENTITY_3356672@@ Weaponry. Vill-V manipulates him into accepting an apparent death as part of her plan against Erosion. 59 73
- Pardofelis — Pardo assists Mei in exploring Vill-V’s fragmented memories. Vill-V later assigns Pardo the task of guiding Kevin’s attack on The End, while acknowledging that she cannot control Pardo’s choice. 60 105
- Elysia — Elysia vouched for Vill-V during Moth of the Fire’s review. Vill-V’s performances also receive sincere applause from Elysia, which Vill-V values. 61 60
- Herrscher of Erosion — Vill-V befriends and deceives Erosion to gain its trust, then turns her entire scheme toward its destruction. 72 73 77
- Su Nian — Vill-V reads Su Nian’s account of her and becomes interested in its inventions and depiction of consciousness-splitting. 61 75
Story Role / Major Arcs
Paradise Werewolf Game
Vill-V presents the Memory Peeking Hat as a way to establish her innocence, pressuring Raiden Mei to inspect her memories. Mei and Pardofelis instead enter a Theater of Domination-like mental world, where Vill-V’s fragmented memories and concealed thought divisions turn the investigation into a trap. 58 60
Apparent Betrayal
Vill-V appears to have arranged Kevin’s death, eliminated Mobius, and caused Pardofelis’ death without remorse. “Extreme Evil” Vill-V then confronts Mei, uses thought segmentation against her, and claims to have allied with the power Mei unknowingly brought into the Paradise. 62 66 68
The Two Wolves’ Deception
The actual traitor is revealed as the Herrscher of Erosion. Vill-V’s apparent betrayal and manipulation of the Flame-Chasers were designed to deceive Erosion as well as her allies; she had been working to eliminate it from the beginning. 69 72 73
Vill-V’s One-Person Show
Fraudster / Id Vill-V helps Mei confront Extreme Evil. The identities reappear together, revealing that Vill-V had continually re-divided her thoughts to undermine Extreme Evil’s control. The united Vill-Vs defeat Extreme Evil, but Vill-V chooses to complete her wider plan rather than destroy Erosion alone. 73 76 77
Final Plan
Vill-V dissipates after giving Mei a black crystal flower and the means to continue the fight against Erosion. Her preparations remain valuable later, when the remaining Flame-Chasers decipher her plan and receive reinforcements against the Herrscher. 77 86
Notable Quotes
“Welcome... to Vill-V’s One-Person Show!” 76
“My name is [The Group]. Only like this—this is truly me, [Vill-V].” 77
“I could have destroyed the Herrscher of Erosion myself, all on my own.” 77
Trivia
- Vill-V’s signet is Spiral, representing contradiction, continuous growth, birth, and rebirth. Her methods may oppose those of Extreme Evil Vill-V, but both ultimately fight the Honkai. 77
- A ninth identity, Lecturer Vill-V, is noted as having vanished while bearing the Law of Retribution and is excluded from the eight personalities comprising Vill-V. 59
- Vill-V repeatedly downplays the scale of her actions; when she says she took “a little” material, others infer that she has taken considerably more. 60
