On a hillside outside Rain Mountain Castle, Haku watched the city in the distance, shrouded in darkness.
Haku had already killed nearly half of the Chunin and Genin from Amegakure who had been stationed in Rain Mountain Castle.
The Amegakure Ninja in Rain Mountain Castle are probably in a panic by now, but it shouldn't last long. Amegakure is still a major village, after all, so its ninja shouldn't be too incompetent. And Mifune is capable, too. He's the strongest samurai since Hanzo.
I just don't know how many Jonin I can lure out. If I can draw out two or three, that'll be worth it. I can deal with three Jonin with a little effort. It would take a while, or I'd have to use some highly destructive techniques. I can't use those in the city in case someone sees me, but once we're outside, I won't have to worry about that.
After dealing with this group, I'll go back into the city and kill another batch. Then I'll wait for a chance to see how strong Hanzo is and find out how far I am from the strongest fighters in the Shinobi World. If I don't get the chance, I'll lure Mifune away from me and out of the Land of Rain.
As Haku waited for any enemies who might show up, he considered what might happen next.
He didn't have to wait long for the enemy to arrive.
Soon, Haku detected a figure rapidly approaching from Rain Mountain Castle, thanks to his sensing abilities, which were far superior to those of other ninja at his level.
The figure was following the trail Haku had deliberately left behind, so he knew this was the pursuer sent by Amegakure.
But that left Haku puzzled.
Just one person?
