Background / History

Mu Ningxue first appears as Imperial Capital Academy’s strongest member during its exchange match with Pearl Academy. Her Ice Element strength, aloof disposition, and striking appearance immediately earn her the label “Ice Beauty.” She enters the match intending to prevent Imperial Capital Academy from suffering humiliation, but Tang Miao suppresses her Ice magic before her star map can fully form. She adapts by using Wind Magic and a Level Two wind disk, Heavenly Net, though the match ends with Pearl Academy regarded as the victor. 77 78

During the wilderness training incident involving Lu Nian, Mu Ningxue reveals the Soul-grade Ice Seed and Ice Crystal Brake Bow. She uses the bow to freeze Lu Nian and his military mages, later destroying his petrified artifact despite her weakened condition. The exertion causes her to faint, and the bow’s backlash becomes a persistent threat to her health and cultivation. 89 91 93

Her family situation deteriorates after Mu He’s actions bring suspicion upon her and Mu Zhuoyun. Abandoned by the Mu Clan and deprived of its resources, Mu Ningxue faces replacement from the National Prefecture team unless she can obtain support and continue advancing.
