Background / History

Apas was born as the youngest legitimate daughter of the Egyptian Medusa. Despite her Medusa bloodline, she was at her weakest when Tang Miao encountered her. He forced her into a contract by presenting her with death or submission, making her his contracted demon. 502

She had previously been pampered despite lacking real power, but her position became precarious because her elder sisters, Euryale and Stheno, would target her after the Medusa Empress Mother's death. Apas therefore chose survival over death, while retaining a strong desire to reclaim power and eventually become a Medusa queen herself. 509 551

While lost with Tang Miao in the Sahara, Apas gradually accepted that their lives were bound together. She admitted that she still had unfinished business and accepted Tang Miao's promise to help her. 509 Their shared experiences in the desert eventually turned her initial resistance into loyalty, though she continued to argue with and challenge him. 854
