The Night of Decision

Star City University was destined for a chaotic night.

With no one tipping them off, Luo Siying's group had little trouble escaping the university district. To their surprise, Senior Sister Qiu, who had gotten out earlier, had also managed to meet up with them.

It was an unexpected bonus.

Gao Jiayu and Cui Zili had shared so many hardships with Senior Sister Qiu that they had formed a deep bond. After surviving such a calamity, they all felt the bittersweet relief of having escaped death.

An hour later, the group arrived at New Moon Bay.

Jiang Yue motioned for Luo Siying and the others to wait outside while he went in to make arrangements. Then he would bring them in.

In truth, he was only doing this so he could drop He Chunlai's identity and resume his own.

If it had only been Gao Jiayu, Yu Siyuan, and a few others, Jiang Yue wouldn't have needed to hide anything. But this trip involved around thirty people, and he worried that word might get around. Better to go to a little extra trouble.

Half an hour later, Jiang Yue returned to the edge of the complex in his own identity to welcome Luo Siying's group.

Yu Siyuan and A Xia were overjoyed to see him.

They still didn't know that Jiang Yue was He Chunlai, and had been worried about his safety.

"Sister Siyuan, you all made it out safely at last. That's wonderful news."

Seeing an old friend put Yu Siyuan at ease. "Jiang Yue, when did you leave? I was worried about you for ages. Are you friends with that He Chunlai?"

"More or less. We planned all of this together. He's gone to take care of something else, so I'll see to everyone's arrangements from here."
