The group were all around the same age, with no more than three years between any two of them.
The people from Yangfan Middle School were all around the same age, while most of the students from Star City University were freshmen or sophomores. Luo Siying was a junior, but for the most part, they were all peers.
People of the same age had no generation gap, so they got to know each other quickly and had plenty to talk about. After introducing themselves, they soon hit it off.
Surprisingly, the most outgoing one wasn't Jiang Yue, with his open and cheerful personality, nor Tong Feifei, with his silver tongue. It was Mao Doudou.
Ding Lei was about the same age as Jiang Yue's older sister, and close in age to Luo Siying. But she had never attended college, and among a group of college students, she couldn't help feeling a little inferior. On top of that, some of the tragedies she'd experienced had made her more accustomed to keeping quiet. So she usually listened more than she spoke.
As the local, and the one who'd brought them to New Moon Bay, Jiang Yue felt obliged to check in on them. "How are you all settling in, seniors?"
"Everything's great," Luo Siying replied with a smile. "Junior Little Jiang, I heard that you had quite a fierce battle somewhere last night?"
"Senior Luo, you're well informed. The fighting was indeed intense last night. Unfortunately, we still couldn't get rid of that menace."
The senior students from Star City University all knew about the Bizarre Tree and the current situation in Star City.
"No need for formalities. If you need our help, just say the word. We're all in the same boat. If it sinks, none of us will make it."
