Xu Huo traveled to District 009 and entered the Sphinx's Riddle dungeon, where the players investigated disappearances in Sun Museum City. After surviving the Wax Figure Museum and uncovering its corpse-filled secret, the group regrouped and set out toward the Mannequin Building.

• Xu Huo acquired Condensed Air, the Eye of the Deceased, and a Pumpkin Head, prepared for a banquet at the Ancient Castle, and frightened Angel after she explored its haunted corridors.
• Dr. Deng gave Xu Huo a Ticket to District 009, and Xu Huo entered the Sphinx's Riddle dungeon before joining Xie Ling, Xu Ruosi, Bai Wenxian, and Long Aotian at the Wax Figure Museum.
• Xu Huo and the others explored the museum and took part in its ghost-story venue, where the clues directed them to find a pair of twins.
• Xu Huo rescued Xie Ling from a wax-covered cremation platform and discovered that the ghost-story room lay beneath the museum, while unseen forces trapped players inside.
• Xu Huo suspected Bai Wenxian had tampered with the museum, fought him, and killed him after trapping him in a hallucination.
• Xu Huo and Xie Ling followed a kite string through the wax-filled museum, freed Long Aotian and Xu Ruosi, and found a chamber packed with corpses.
• Xu Huo deduced that the museum sealed people inside to contain a disease, advancing the disappearance mission to 1/6, and the survivors escaped at dawn.
• The players regrouped after learning that six had died, and after the long-haired woman killed another player, the remaining group chose the Mannequin Building as their next destination.

Xu Huo and his companions investigated Museum City’s exhibits, uncovered evidence of human experiments, and were hunted by hostile Players. After the hotel’s strange footsteps split the group and trapped Xu Huo in a Mirror Hotel, he joined Peng Fengnian’s survivors to confront the Monster, which remained at large.

• Xu Huo’s group explored the Mannequin Building, Mad Prison, Needle Mountain Physiotherapy, and Doll Clothing Store, where hostile exhibits attacked them and forced them to flee.
• Xu Huo submitted a theory about prisoners, experiments, and children used as test subjects, raising the disappearance mystery to 3/6, then investigated the Infectious Disease History Museum and the Adult Psychological Treatment Room.
• Xu Huo endured a fatal nursery-rhyme illusion in the treatment room, then escaped and later found evidence suggesting the Shang family had been subjected to human experiments, advancing the mystery to 4/6.
• Hostile Players pursued Xu Huo and his companions through the Styx Ferry and the Corpse Hiding Hotel, while skeletons emerged from graves and strange footsteps separated the group inside the hotel.
• Xu Huo met Peng Fengnian and learned that the hotel was a reversed Mirror Hotel where a human-faced Monster attacked people who left their rooms and footsteps appeared without leaving traces.
• Xu Huo compared the accounts of footsteps inside and outside the hotel, proposed searching for a loophole, and organized a plan to lure the Monster out and injure it.
• Xu Huo and the others burned the Monster and dragged it outside, but it broke through their net, wounded a Player, and fled back into the hotel.
• Xu Huo followed the Monster’s blood trail to an open room, where it ambushed him, and he blocked it with Condensed Air, dodged, and threw an object into its mouth.

Xu Huo cleared the Sphinx’s Riddle, uncovered the Mirror Hotel’s hidden Potion, and pursued clues about Doctor Shang before being pulled into a new Random Instance. In The Villa with Only One Owner, he tried to keep the players cooperating and was ultimately named temporary host.

• Xu Huo pieced together how Museum City’s spaces switched, exposed the Shang family’s revenge, and cleared the Sphinx’s Riddle with an S-rank Super Evaluation.
• After the players became trapped in the hotel’s hidden space, Xu Huo found a Potion inside a puppet, killed Teacher Pan and Gao Xiaoyue when their group turned against him, and left with clues about the Corpse Hiding Hotel.
• Xu Huo rescued Peng Ya and other girls from their attackers, then investigated Shang Shuming’s past at the Welfare Institute and found a metal piece engraved with “Shang.”
• Xu Huo was transported to a rainy forest and entered the Villa with Only One Owner, where he and Lu Zhen discovered that the Players could neither leave nor damage the building.
• As Players were killed and attacked one another, Xu Huo protected an injured woman, teamed up with Liang Chong and Lu Zhen, and urged the others to cooperate.
• Liang Chong explained that the temporary host had to keep the Villa clean and protect it and its guest rooms at night, while Xu Huo suspected the duties concealed traps.
• After the man in the raincoat fought the charming female player and removed bodies from guest rooms, Xu Huo received notice that he was the temporary host and had to keep the Villa clean, safe, and comfortable for guests.

Xu Huo investigated Jiang Jiang’s past while helping Xiao Yuan escape the violence of a border town, then pursued Jiang Jiang into the Octagonal Gallery after she predicted her death at the exhibition. The arc ended with Xu Huo holding Jiang Jiang inside his Book Tower Spiritual World and preparing to question her again.

• Xu Huo cleared the Villa game, gained the Ability "Sit Please," and combined two items into the Ant Nest Marker.
• Xu Huo rescued Jiang Jiang from an attack at the Zhou Family banquet and later visited her at Galaxy Community, where she showed him her paintings and Wormhole Flowers.
• Jiang Jiang drew Xu Huo into a haunted-house gallery, where her paintings predicted deaths and two Players were killed, and she vanished after telling Xu Huo to find her again.
• Xu Huo remained in District 009, helped Xiao Yuan survive the trafficking gang, and arranged for her and six other children to enter a welfare institute before sending Xiao Yuan toward District 011.
• Xu Huo obtained a false identity and traveled to the Capital Safe Zone, where he entered Jiang Jiang’s exhibition as she arrived.
• A grieving woman accused Jiang Jiang of cursing Players through her paintings, and Jiang Jiang said she had foreseen Song Xu’s death and expected to die at the exhibition.
• After an explosion collapsed part of the exhibition hall, Xu Huo trapped himself and Jiang Jiang in the Octagonal Gallery and asked who had counseled her and Peng Ya.
• Xu Huo fought through the gallery’s living Mutant Animals, brought Jiang Jiang into his Book Tower Spiritual World, and confined her in a room after the Black Sliver was driven off and the Book Tower was damaged.
