Background / History

Iron Bull was already present in Fang Mo's circle when Captain Zhao Laoxi attempted to kill Fang Mo. Without even turning around, he casually swung his forging hammer backward and sent Zhao Laoxi flying before returning to his work at the anvil. 47

He later traveled as Qian Dagui's bodyguard. When Fang Mo ordered him to act against hidden archers, Iron Bull hurled a broken carriage axle hundreds of paces, annihilating the attackers' position. 82

Iron Bull's apparent muteness was eventually explained as the result of practicing Silent Zen, a Ku Chan Temple Buddhist method. He broke his vow to recognize Fang Mo as his master, sacrificing three years of accumulated cultivation in the process. 93
