Background and History
Ye Qiu was born at the Ye Clan’s Green Bamboo Residence, where he lived with his mother, Wen Xi, for his first seven years. After Ye Jiangshan brought another woman and Ye Rudí into the household, Ye Qiu was sent to Nanshan City. He grew up close to his maternal grandfather Wen Zheng and fought on the Wen Clan’s behalf 3 10 30.
He rejected the sword legacies revered by the Ye Clan and took up the blade at seven. By seventeen, his blade technique was among the best in the Nanshan City area. When the Ye Clan sought his return for Ye Rudí’s investiture, he refused its authority; after further confrontations, he declared himself a stranger to his father and the clan 3 5 7 9 22.
At Green Moon Mountain, Nan Qingyue sheltered him from the Ye Clan. His initial desire to challenge his fiancée Lu Li helped drive his training, though their relationship later became one of mutual protection.
