Background / History

Wu Xiaokai grew up hunting and dealing with Demon Beasts in the mountains. While killing demons, he was noticed by a teacher and brought to Nanzhou Academy as a Special Recruit three months before the main intake. He met Ye Qiu at the Gravity Tower, where the two Body Cultivators agreed to exchange pointers. 9

His mountain upbringing made him highly familiar with Demon Beast habitats, hunting, and survival tactics. During an early expedition with Ye Qiu, he led the way through Demon Beast territory, identified the lair of a Great Spider, and later escaped Wu Lan by detonating the lair of a Law Realm Great Demon to turn its inhabitant against her. 19 23

Wu Xiaokai was later revealed to carry Barbarian blood, a lineage naturally suited for Body Refining. His grandfather, Wu Feng, is the feared “East Barrens Butcher,” and the Wu family possesses substantial influence as a Meritorious Family. 56 57 60
