Background / History

Xuanyuan Tian Ji awakened from an Immortal Source on the ninth floor of the Heavenly Mystery Pavilion after its Immortal Qi was exhausted. Disoriented by the unfamiliar Canglan Realm, she identified herself as Tian Ji and questioned what era and realm she had awakened in. 100

She revealed that her father had sealed her inside the Immortal Source to preserve her life before an unspecified catastrophe. Her memories of that event were also sealed, leaving her initially unable to explain her connection to the Xuanyuan Clan. After learning that the Cunning Insects had reduced humans to nourishment, she vowed to help reclaim a future for the Canglan Realm. 101

Her sealed memories began returning in the Qin Kingdom. Tian Ji recalled that she originated from the Weiyang Immortal Realm and that the Human Emperor had summoned powerful cultivators to Weiyang before a crisis that threatened the entire Great Thousand Worlds. She suspected that this ancient disaster was connected to the Guixian Clan's later appearance in the Canglan Realm. 138 139
