Background and History

Camille's ancestral home is Demacia, but she has lived in Piltover since childhood. Her family pioneered Hextech after discovering the Primal Crystal. She underwent extensive Hextech modification and has spent decades maintaining order among the factions of Piltover and Zaun 203 219 548 557.

During a pursuit of Jinx, Camille survives an explosive attack, defeats Sheriff Jorba when he intervenes, and binds Jinx with Hextech equipment. An unidentified rescuer enables Jinx to escape. Camille subsequently offers to repair Vi's damaged prosthetic arm and lets Jorba go 210 211. When Yasuo later returns a Primal Crystal, Camille agrees to train Vi and Caitlyn, provided they join her Piltover Guard 218 219.

Camille and Yasuo discover that they have shared a rare dream of ominous eyes. She becomes his companion in investigating the threat and hosts a gathering of regional leaders to discuss it. Although she trusts Yasuo with the Primal Crystal, she later admits that fear of its potential misuse was part of her reason for asking him to place it in safekeeping 220 221 289 291.

She shelters the injured Angels Kayle and Morgana, helps them recover using Primal Crystals, and joins the campaign against the Shadow Isles. She later summons Phiros scientists to produce weapons for the Piltover Guard and brings reinforcements to the battle against Aatrox 426 439 446 481 531.

Camille kills Jinx during the later fighting but is blown apart. Her brain survives, allowing Phiros scientists to reconstruct her body. Afterward, her brother Stivan implants a control program and uses it to influence her. Yasuo removes the device; Camille defeats Stivan with his help but spares him, then leaves Piltover with her guards, Vi, and Caitlyn 540 548 549 550. At Deno Camp, leaders from several regions endorse her authority over their assembled people during the Void crisis. Camille declares that she has severed her ties to Piltover and the Phiros Family: she belongs only to the Light 556 557.

Later Project storyline

In the later storyline involving Ezreal as [Future], Camille leads Project, a program that modifies captured people into armored warriors and imposes loyalty to her. Its forces seek to exploit the wars between Demacia and Noxus; Camille also turns Piltover and Zaun into a giant combat mecha that devastates an attacking army 629 630 631 637 641.

Former Project warriors recover their memories and organize resistance. When Ezreal's group infiltrates her command center, Camille refuses his demand to end her conquests. She later disables the rebels' Project Armor and offers them a chance to join her vision of human evolution 653 657 669 670.

Appearance

Camille has a slender build, short white hair parted beside her ears, and neat clothing. Her legs end in large steel blades rather than ordinary lower legs 150 210.

Personality

Camille presents a cold, demanding exterior and says that attempts to provoke her will not work. She is protective of Piltover's interests and exacting about the quality of Phiros products, but can exercise restraint: she releases Jorba rather than killing him and offers to repair Vi's arm 210 211 218.

Her modifications have affected her emotions. During a repair, she confides that she feels like a monster and does not know how long she will live; she also shows warmth during her conversation with Yasuo. Her caution extends to the Primal Crystal, whose potential troubles her even as she conceals part of her reasoning from him 219 220 291.

Abilities and Skills

Hextech combat

• Uses bladed legs for rapid, precise attacks; she defeats the knife-wielding Jorba in close combat 210 211.
• Uses arm-mounted grappling hooks to move and attack. Her ropes can bind a target or seal off a fighting area 210 211 550.
• Her Hextech Ultimatum ordinarily prevents an opponent's escape, though Jinx's unidentified rescuer evades it. Camille estimates her odds against that rescuer at sixty percent in a direct fight, but says she could not catch them in a pursuit 219.
