Seven in the morning.
Uchiha Makoto opened his eyes. After washing up, he put on the Kage's divine robe and, as usual, headed to his Light Shadow's Office.
A carefully prepared breakfast had already been placed on his desk. There had been so many matters to handle since the village's founding. He did not have a younger brother he could entrust with handling all the village's daily affairs.
So Uchiha Makoto spent most of his time in his office.
Going home merely meant sleeping there at night.
To save time.
He even ate all three meals of the day in his office. Fortunately, a dedicated team of chefs handled Uchiha Makoto's daily meals. This was both for convenience and for Uchiha Makoto's personal safety.
As the head of a village, he should at least possess basic caution.
"A team worth paying for really does have excellent cooking."
Uchiha Makoto swallowed the last bite of his bun and sighed.
Then he began the day's work.
"The Uchiha Clan. They finally sent a letter?"
Kazuma handed him a letter.
It was a secret letter from the Uchiha Clan.
The poor received no attention in bustling cities, while the wealthy found distant relatives even in the deep mountains. They truly had not expected Uchiha Makoto, after leaving the clan alone, to establish an Akatsuki Ninja Village capable of standing alongside Konoha.
Uchiha Makoto casually removed the wax seal from the envelope and quickly read through it. The letter was not long, mostly filled with meaningless pleasantries.
"You are the pride of the Uchiha Clan."
"Write home often. We are all family."
"Looks like Uchiha Madara did not order this letter to be written. He probably could not come up with such mushy words."
Uchiha Makoto said this.
He
