Background

Makoto left the Uchiha Clan after falling out with Uchiha Madara over Madara's reconciliation with the Senju and plan to establish Konoha. He rejected Madara's offer of departure funds, intending instead to pursue his own ambitious path outside the clan. When he attempted to recruit followers, no Uchiha clansmen chose to leave with him. 4 5
