Nature

Chakra is created by mixing physical and spiritual energy. The physical component is extracted from the body's cells, while the spiritual component reflects mental fortitude, willpower, and the soul. It is described as the crystallization of a person's flesh, blood, spirit, and life. 1 4 157

A ninja's Chakra reserve is directly tied to their condition rather than functioning as an expendable mana supply. Severe depletion leaves a ninja unable to move or extract further Chakra, while reckless overuse can be fatal. 108

Ninjutsu

Chakra is transformed into elemental techniques through hand seals and controlled output.

• Fire Release — Chakra can condense into attacks such as the Great Fireball Technique; the flames dissipate when the user's Chakra supply stops. 3
• Wind Release — Chakra can form invisible cutting threads, producing techniques such as Wind Slash. 24
• Large-scale Fire Release — Great Fire Annihilation and Great Fire Destruction require exceptionally large reserves, but can create wide fire spreads. 88

Genjutsu and Dōjutsu

The Sharingan uses a distinct, chilling form of Chakra known as pupil power.
