Background

Lin Suqing entered the Clear Wind Gazing Moon Sect while young and cultivated under True Man Zuo Dong for over thirty years. She described the small sect as one where its cultivators respected and helped one another on the path to immortality. By the time she met Wu Wang, she was in her forties and at the middle Return to Origin Realm. 3

While travelling in the Northern Plains with her junior brother and junior sister, Lin Suqing was captured by the Bear Hug Tribe. Wu Wang offered to send the other two safely home with a spirit pill for their ill sect elder if one of them served him for six years. Lin Suqing volunteered, considering it repayment for the debt owed to him. 2

Her expected role proved very different from what she feared: Wu Wang kept her as a tutor on the Human Domain, its cultivation systems, and cultivation theory.
