Obito: I Will Definitely Come Back

"Damn it!"

The expression beneath Obito's mask grew increasingly grim.

"So he finally made a move." Chiba glanced at the location where Black Zetsu was hiding; he was not surprised by the appearance of the White Zetsu.

Obito was one of the most important pawns Black Zetsu used to execute the Mother Rescue Plan.

As long as it wasn't confirmed that the Tenseigan could truly split the moon and that Chiba was trustworthy, Black Zetsu would never abandon Obito.

"Hyuga Chiba, and all of you, just you wait."

"I will be back."

Under the cover of the numerous White Zetsu, Obito finally didn't have to maintain his intangibility.

After uttering the classic line from Grey Wolf, his figure vanished amidst a distortion of space.

"After Obito returns to the Kamui Dimension, does my Flying Thunder God Mark temporarily lose its effect?"

After Obito disappeared, Chiba muttered thoughtfully after sensing the area carefully.

On second thought, this was actually normal.

The Kamui Dimension was, after all, a separate space; it wasn't so easy to traverse between the inside and outside using only the "Flying Thunder God Technique."

Of course, if Obito happened to open the Kamui Dimension while the Flying Thunder God Mark was still on him, Chiba should be able to travel into the Kamui Dimension.

"That masked man was forced away just like that?"

"What are those white humanoid creatures?"

"Wasn't that blonde youth with the masked man earlier? Why did he turn around and fight him?"

"And who is that red-haired youth?"

Hatake Kakashi and Hyuga Nozomu had missed out on so much of the "plot" that the scene unfolding before them immediately left them with a flurry of questions.

In truth, they could have arrived much sooner had they not been entangled by Obito.

It was simply that sharing intelligence with the First Hokage and the Second Hokage had taken up some of their time.

It was also from those two that Hatake Kakashi and Hyuga Nozomu learned of what had transpired within Sunagakure.

Otherwise, they would have been shocked to see why Rasa was acting in concert with Hyuga Chiba.

After exchanging information, the two Hokage continued their journey back to Konoha.

Curious about the situation here, Hatake Kakashi and Hyuga Nozomu had boldly come to take a look.

Just in case, Hatake Kakashi was prepared at any moment to have Pakkun reverse-summon him back.

As for Hyuga Nozomu?

From the moment the thought occurred to him to ask Hyuga Chiba for help in undoing his Caged Bird Curse Mark, he had no intention of returning to Konoha through normal means.
