Due to an unexpected incident, the Arora family's seaside vacation had to be canceled.
A few hours later, just before dawn, dozens of aircraft roared over the sea and landed on the coastal resort island. More than a hundred Xelayan police officers finally arrived after receiving the information a second time and realizing how serious the situation was. They then sealed off the entire resort island as if preparing for an enemy attack.
After a great deal more commotion, once they had figured out what had happened, they arrested the two Xelayan criminals Annie had knocked unconscious and escorted them away.
As for the unfortunate Keetan family—Mr. Ildis Keetan, whose hand had been boiled in a pot of spicy soup; Solana Keetan, who had lost all her fingers and a dangerous amount of blood; and Mrs. Drenna Keetan, who had suffered considerable mental and emotional trauma—they were of course rushed to the nearest hospital at once.
Although advanced medical technology could quickly heal the trio's physical injuries, and the boiled wrist and severed fingers would grow back in no time, just like helmsman Gordon's leg and tail had back then, the damage to their minds and spirits would take far longer to recover from.
So Arora, who had already been forced to undergo gravity therapy on Xelaya, was sent along with her parents and sister to a specialized recovery facility in a fairly scenic area. They decided to stay on Xelaya to recuperate, rather than accept Captain Ed's proposal to have her return to the Orville and use the localized gravity particles adjusted in the simulator for more intense gravity training in the hope of speeding up her recovery.
