Soon, in the dark, chaotic corridor ahead, inside the lobby of a huge building that had been tilted at an angle, Annie hurriedly ended her call with the troublesome, teary-eyed Wang Qing and activated the Ghost Suit's stealth mode. She had only crept a short distance farther when she saw the scene before her:
At the center of a huge room that looked like a dance studio and had been tilted thirty degrees, stood a big sister in a black bodysuit, looking just like an office worker from the city. The room had full-length mirrors on every wall, along with barre rails and other equipment for dancing and stretching. In her hand, the woman held a black longsword of the kind only daemons used.
Facing her stood an incredibly hulking, muscular figure in a fearsome skull mask. Its armor, pauldrons, and waist guard were equally terrifying and splattered with blood. A string of rotting human skulls hung from its waist, and it dragged a huge burning anvil attached to a brass chain. Just looking at the dreadful Warp Daemon filled anyone with fear and unease.
At the same time, observant Annie noticed that many ordinary Warp Daemons lay dead around the pair. But they hadn't been slain with a sword, as before. They'd been smashed to death?
It was easy enough to guess from the huge brass chain and burning anvil the daemon dragged: had those Warp Daemons been smashed to death by the hulking greater daemon?
Annie had no idea why he'd done it.

She could see the woman warily gripping her sword
