Garp, Tsuru, and Sengoku left Hachinosu Island to report the intelligence to their superiors.
In the blink of an eye, two months passed...
Hachinosu Island.
At that moment, Patri Vic was training in Nintaijutsu.
His Nintaijutsu progress had now reached %, while his Hashirama Senju character template completion had reached .9%.
Hashirama Senju's template was only .1% away from completion. Once Patri Vic reached that point, he would be able to wield Fire Release.
"Still no good. As expected, the further I get with Nintaijutsu, the slower my progress becomes." Patri Vic shook his head helplessly.
After unleashing the power of Nintaijutsu, he was now utterly exhausted.
If his Nintaijutsu progress increased by just %, it would raise Hashirama Senju's character completion by .1% and unlock the power of Fire Release.
But he had been stuck at that last % for three days, unable to make any progress.
"Looks like fighting is the fastest way to improve my Nintaijutsu." Patri Vic rested his chin on his hand and spoke unhurriedly.
By now, nearly every pirate on Hachinosu Island who had any real strength had joined the Rocks Pirates.
The pirates left on Hachinosu Island were all nobodies, and fighting them would do him no good.
Fighting Whitebeard would be a good choice, but it seemed they were setting sail in the next few days.
Patri Vic didn't want to trouble Whitebeard by asking him to fight just to help him make progress at a time like this.
Holy Land Mary Geoise.
The Navy and the World Government's leaders were keeping a close eye on the situation on Hachinosu Island.
They had been preparing for a long time. It was time to send in their forces.
"Our troops are ready. It's time to stamp out the pirate threat on Hachinosu Island before it can take root."
"Quite a few powerful fighters are taking part in this operation to encircle the Rocks Pirates. I hope they don't disappoint me," one of the World Government's leaders said unhurriedly.
"Don't worry. An Admiral is leading the operation this time," the Fleet Admiral replied with a faint smile.
They could practically see Hachinosu Island's destruction already.
At that moment, several Navy warships were moored along the shore at Navy Headquarters, Marineford.
Garp, Tsuru, Sengoku, and others were also taking part in the battle to encircle the Rocks Pirates.
"At last, I get to take on some powerful pirates," Garp said boisterously.
"Don't underestimate pirates, Garp. With a personality like yours, you'll get yourself killed," Sengoku said calmly, pushing up his glasses.
"Sengoku's right, Garp. Don't underestimate the pirates on Hachinosu Island."
"Hahaha..." Garp didn't seem bothered by what either of them said.
The Navy warships set sail, bound for Hachinosu Island.
All the pirate officers on Hachinosu Island had returned to their ships.
"Brothers, it's time to set sail!"
Rocks stood at the bow of a massive warship and shouted.
Everyone on board immediately burst into cheers.
Patri Vic stood on the shore, watching the Rocks Pirates' ships recede into the distance.
"With so many people gone, business at the bar's going to dry up."
He sighed, then continued.
"Oh well. Even if there aren't many customers, a tiny ant... doesn't seem like much meat either..."
Business at the bar was slow now, but Patri Vic believed that one day his establishment would become famous.
So even with hardly any customers, he was determined to keep hiring servers and lie around counting his money.
No one knew how much time had passed before several enormous Navy warships appeared on the horizon near Hachinosu Island.
At the bow of the Navy warship in the center stood a spirited young man, his arms crossed and his expression calm.
He was a Navy Admiral!
In this era, anyone who became an Admiral was no ordinary man.
"Admiral Krieg, Hachinosu Island is just ahead," said a Navy sailor standing beside him, respectfully lowering the binoculars in his hands.
The Navy warships slowly approached Hachinosu Island. An unprecedented crisis was about to descend upon it.
At that moment, Patri Vic was asleep in his bar on Hachinosu Island.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!!!"
"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!!!"
A sudden barrage of noise jolted Patri Vic awake.
"Boom!"
A cannonball landed right in front of his bar, unleashing a tremendous shockwave.
The cannonball blew the bar to pieces. The ceiling collapsed as well.
But that wasn't all. More cannonballs came flying toward his bar.
"Did selling booze somehow get me on someone's bad side?" Patri Vic said, frowning as he stared at the cannonballs arcing through the sky.
How could selling booze lead to someone firing cannonballs to destroy his bar?
"Boom! Boom! Boom!!!"
Several cannonballs struck his bar.
The servers he'd hired and the people drinking inside were blown to pieces.
He quickly darted out of the bar, escaping the blast unharmed.
His Body Technique was decent by now, after all. His Nintaijutsu progress had already reached %.
The Navy warships fired cannonballs without pause, destroying nearly a fifth of Hachinosu Island.
"Hahaha... I can't wait to find a worthy opponent!" Garp shouted excitedly, smashing his fists together.
Large numbers of Navy soldiers began attacking the island from the shore.
Patri Vic stared at the wreckage of his bar, feeling a little angry before shaking his head helplessly.
All he wanted was to keep his head down on Hachinosu Island and quietly run a little bar.
He'd planned to wait until he was strong enough to stand at the top of the world before making himself known.
But all those hopes had gone up in smoke. Someone had attacked Hachinosu Island and destroyed his little bar.
His gaze shifted to the horizon. In the distance, he saw a large number of men in Navy uniforms.
His expression changed slightly, and he said with some surprise, "The Navy?"
Since the Navy was attacking the entire island, more than a dozen sailors soon surrounded Patri Vic.
"Give yourself up, pirate."
