Golden Lion was also surprised as he read the newspaper.
He had known Patri Vic was extraordinary and could use many different abilities.

How had he suddenly gained another ability?
"Do you really believe everything in the papers, Mr. Shiki?" Patri Vic asked, leaning on the ship's railing.

They had known Patri Vic's abilities were strange and varied, but they had assumed this was his secret. No one had brought it up or asked him about it.
But now a whole newspaper article had been devoted to claiming Patri Vic was a four-Devil Fruit User.
Golden Lion's curiosity was instantly piqued. He wanted to ask about the secret of Patri Vic's body.
"What if I told you I wasn't human? Would you believe me?" Patri Vic said with a smile.
"I would!" Golden Lion nodded.
"Ah, Mr. Shiki, you shouldn't believe the news." Patri Vic shrugged.
He didn't know how to explain his abilities. Should he tell Shiki he had a system?
"Fine." Golden Lion nodded, looking a little helpless.
He knew Patri Vic didn't want to answer, so he didn't press the matter.
The many officers on the ship—and even Rocks—were all curious about the secret of Patri Vic's body, but none of them asked.
They knew that even if they did, Patri Vic wouldn't tell them.
