The Silver Dragon King's eyes lit up at the sight of the faint golden, illusory Light Gate, a flicker of delight passing through her clear purple eyes.
Then, her massive body passed directly through the Light Gate, radiating dazzling silver light. Her originally enormous form suddenly shrank after passing through it. The scales on her body began to turn grayish-white and fall away, while her silver wings dropped from the air and slammed heavily into the water, sending bright white sprays flying.
"Lord!"
Di Tian cried out anxiously. He had no idea why his lord had become like this when she had clearly been fine just moments ago.
"She is transforming, striving to leap toward a higher level of bloodline."
Lu Wu's lazy voice rang out beside the Fierce Beasts' ears, carrying an odd note of envy.
After all, transformations were relatively easy when one's bloodline level was low. A bloodline like his own was practically impossible to transform; even improving his innate foundation by the slightest bit was incomparably difficult.
The Silver Dragon King's old body shattered piece by piece, falling into the Lake of Life and splashing up one bloom of water after another. Though Lu Wu had said there was no issue, the Fierce Beasts were still deeply worried at the sight.
The silver light gradually faded, revealing the Silver Dragon King's new body. Beneath the sunlight, her scales gleamed brilliantly, densely arranged across her soft, elastic body. A pair of tiny dragon horns poked up slightly from her head, making her look small, delicate, and utterly adorable.
Milky-white clouds formed beneath the Silver Dragon King's claws. Less than half a meter long, she stepped on the mist and slowly descended toward the ground, though the astonishment on her face showed that even she had not expected this outcome.
"Lord, you...?"
Di Tian stared at the Silver Dragon King's new body in disbelief. It was not even as long as one of his arms in human form, and he could not sense even a trace of cultivation from her. Could that so-called senior have deceived his lord? Deep suspicion rose in Di Tian's heart.
"It is nothing. I feel very well right now. As for my cultivation, I can simply cultivate it back."
An invisible ripple spread from the Silver Dragon King's body, making the Fierce Beasts unable to resist kneeling with reverent expressions. They did not revere her cultivation, but rather the nobility embedded within that bloodline.
Lu Wu looked at the little silver dragon before him and nodded in satisfaction. Though the Silver Dragon King had been beautiful before, she had ultimately borne the appearance of a Western dragon. Since he had decided to take them under his command, they naturally had to take the path with the greatest potential. Eastern dragons were still more pleasing to the eye.
"Thank you, Senior, for bestowing this method."
The Silver Dragon King copied the gesture from her memories and cupped her claws in salute. Only after gaining enlightenment from those memories did she understand just how enormous a benefit she had received this time. The scenes of dragon elders in those memories calling wind and rain, swallowing clouds and exhaling mist, battling heaven and earth, remained vivid in her mind. She even felt ashamed to call herself the Silver Dragon King. With strength like hers, how could she dare claim the title of king?
Moreover, this single transformation—merely a hurried transformation—had already raised her bloodline to the level of the Dragon God from her memories. The goal she had once longed to achieve had now been reached. If she continued transforming...
And all of this had been brought about by the senior before her. How could the Silver Dragon King not be grateful? Without Lu Wu's assistance, her transformation would never have gone so smoothly.
Lu Wu smacked his lips and calmly accepted the Silver Dragon King's gratitude. After all, he had indeed helped a great deal. At the very least, that simple... simplified cultivation technique tailored for dragons had been simplified through his own efforts.
"Thank you, Senior!"
The Fierce Beasts imitated the Silver Dragon King and thanked Lu Wu. It was obvious that their lord had gained tremendous benefits, and even the way they looked at the white little beast on the Auspicious Beast's body now carried a trace of eagerness.
Lu Wu felt somewhat uncomfortable beneath the Fierce Beasts' gazes. Shaking his head, he said,
"Do not call me Senior. Just call me Lu Master. After all, I will need to teach you how to cultivate next, so I can barely be considered your master."
Although the Demon Race was actually a collective formed from various tribes joining together, the common understanding outside was that one had to cultivate a Demon Core to be considered a true demon. Those who had not done so were merely ordinary beasts.
Although Douluo Continent had Soul Cores, which appeared somewhat similar to Demon Cores, Soul Cores were in truth merely a technique for compressing Soul Power, making it more condensed and easier to break through with.
A Demon Core, on the other hand, contained the essence of an entire demon. A lifetime of cultivation was condensed within it. Beyond energy, it also contained the Dao and methods they had cultivated. If one had to name something similar, the Poison Core Dugu Bo had condensed ten thousand years ago could barely be considered close.
For a moment, Lu Wu thought again of Kun Peng, who had once accompanied him in developing Demon Script. Because of that achievement, the two had been called the teachers of the Demon Race. He simply did not know how that fellow was doing now. Meanwhile, he himself was rebuilding the Demon Race in this remote backwater, preparing to become a Demon Master once more—a true Demon Master in every sense.
"Lu Master, are you saying that we can cultivate with you as well?"
Xiong Jun forced an honest-looking smile onto his face, leaned close to Lu Wu, and directly addressed him as Lu Master.
"That is right. It would be far too slow for you to fumble around and learn these techniques bit by bit on your own. I do not plan to leave anytime soon, but that does not mean you can sit idle."
In Lu Wu's eyes, teaching these fellows cultivation techniques would not take much effort anyway. If it were troublesome, he would be too lazy to teach them personally bit by bit. Better to finish teaching them early and let them cultivate on their own. They all needed to get to work.
Every race had pioneers who continuously explored and developed cultivation techniques suited to their own physiques, helping them absorb the spiritual energy of the sun, moon, and stars. Through the authority of a Demon Master, he had once gathered quite a few basic versions of such techniques. Creating simplified versions adapted to different racial physiques would be easy enough.
Then, he could set up a simple formation to draw in the energy of heaven and earth, as well as sunlight, moonlight, and starlight. It would probably not take long for this group of Fierce Beasts to become demons.
The Silver Dragon King showed nothing unusual on the surface, but inwardly, she tensed. She wished she could remain by Lu Wu's side at all times. If her subordinates surpassed her cultivation while she was their lord, she would truly be too ashamed to face any beast.
"That is right. Since our agreement is to restore the Soul Beast race to its former glory, then naturally I must make you stronger as well."
Lu Wu let out a leisurely sigh. He had been busy to death back in the Primordial Realm, and now he still had all sorts of matters to handle. Fortunately, he no longer needed to worry about the outcome of the Witch-Demon War. They had already lost anyway.
"Thank you, Lu Master."
The Fierce Beasts' eyes lit up. Who would not want to grow stronger? Now, they had a mysterious senior promising to guide them, along with their lord as a living example. For a time, their hearts were filled with excitement.
"By the way, do you have a name?"
Lu Wu studied the little silver dragon before him curiously, wondering whether the Silver Dragon King would still name herself Gu Yuena because of some so-called convergence of fate.
The Silver Dragon King shook her head in confusion. From the moment she gained consciousness, she had been frantically fleeing. After arriving on Douluo Continent to recover from her injuries, the Soul Beasts had followed Di Tian in calling her Lord. She had only ever possessed the title Silver Dragon King.
"Why not choose one yourself?"
Lu Wu rolled over and switched sides to bask in the sun.
"Gu Yuena."
The Silver Dragon Baby spoke in a sweet voice, though her expression showed that she was still trying hard to maintain her dignity.
Hearing that name, Lu Wu frowned slightly. His two little claws kept fiddling together before his chest, then his brows relaxed.
"Fine. It is quite a good name."
A smile appeared on the Silver Dragon King's face. She also wanted to dance beneath the full moon like the dragons in those images, who radiated ancient and powerful auras.
Lu Wu raised his head and looked at the empty sky, then slowly sat upright.
