Background

Lu Wu originated in the Primordial Realm as a Bai Ze. Because another Bai Ze already bore that name, he adopted “Lu Wu” from his past life. He survived the conflict between the Demon Race and Witch Race by remaining under Donghuang Taiyi's protection, later cultivating alongside the Eastern Emperor Bell. 2 4

Before Donghuang Taiyi self-destructed during the final battle, Taiyi sent Lu Wu into Chaos with the Eastern Emperor Bell. Lu Wu eventually exhausted nearly all his power preserving a spark of his true spirit and arrived in the Douluo world. 2

His arrival causes a continent-wide heavenly phenomenon and disrupts the God Realm's ability to monitor Douluo. Initially existing as a weak white light, he offers to restore the Soul Beast race in exchange for Life Gold. The Silver Dragon King accepts the arrangement despite her doubts. 1 2

After being reborn, Lu Wu helps the Silver Dragon King address the lingering Asura Divine Power in her wounds. He guides her toward comprehending the Dao and facilitates her transformation into the small silver dragon Gu Yuena. 3 4 6

Appearance

Lu Wu's true form is a small, lion-like Bai Ze with a calm and auspicious presence.

  • Pure white fur, with gray four claws and a gray tail tip. 2
  • A single blunt-looking horn on his forehead. 2
  • Clear blue eyes associated with wisdom and analysis. 3 10
  • Emits a gentle, calming aura that makes hostility toward him difficult to sustain. 2
  • Can manifest a vast phantom form that covers the sky during major array rituals. 34
  • Uses a human appearance while attending Shrek Academy: a handsome young man with a gentle smile and Bai Ze martial soul. 39

Personality

Lu Wu is confident, calculating, and frequently dismissive of opponents he considers beneath him. Though he seeks the revival and expansion of the Soul Beast race, he does not provide aid out of simple charity; he expects loyalty, merit, and practical value in return. 7 17 37

He treats cultivation as both a means of empowerment and a test. His lessons can be severe—Di Tian retains fear from repeated lightning strikes during training—but Lu Wu expects his followers to solve their own problems rather than depend on him indefinitely. 8 37

Despite his grand ambitions, Lu Wu is also playful and indolent. He enjoys sleeping on the Three-Eyed Golden Lion, teasing the Plane Consciousness, and letting clones handle work he does not wish to do himself. 12 17
