Background

Yulia was born to a poor family in the Red Sandworm Camp near Shelter No. 11. She showed no early psionic talent until she became separated from other children in the desert and encountered a strange light; afterward, she abruptly became a psionic prodigy. 70 93

A Watchers leader recruited her with a basket of bread. Over the following three years, Yulia's strength helped the Watchers become the dominant wandering group around Shelter No. 11. Her reputation as Black Crow began after assassins sent against her repeatedly died inexplicably upon confronting her. 70

Despite her reputation, Yulia preferred medical study to killing. With the Watchers' support, she learned medicine while using her powers to defend the group. Her parents died of illness before she could provide them a better life, and she came to regard Watchers leader Old Nissen as an adoptive father. 70 141

Abandoned Cooling Plant and Bagaros Base

Yulia first emerges as a major threat at the Abandoned Cooling Plant, using Envoys to control players and Bai Fu. Bai Fu breaks free and defeats the body confronting her, which Yulia reveals to be a decoy. 32 34

At Bagaros Base, Yulia again uses controlled players as weapons, including turning them against Gido. She later offers Bai Fu Spiritual Energy Knowledge in exchange for cooperation and access to Bai Fu's body for research. 65 67

The Watchers' Legacy
