Under Pointy Head's persistent persuasion, Rosinante reached for his allowance.
Just as Pointy Head grinned so hard his gums showed, Leon stepped in front of Rosinante.
"Wait a second, mister. You can only use this Bubble Car on the Sabaody Archipelago, right?"
"And you dare charge ten thousand Beli for it?"
Leon was clearly not as easy to fool as Rosinante. Pointy Head regretfully took a long drag on his pipe and muttered,
"It's a local specialty. It's still worth buying for ten thousand Beli just to collect..."
Seeing that Leon wasn't budging, Pointy Head could only say through gritted teeth, "You can rent it, too."
"Just three... five hundred Beli a day!"
"Five hundred Beli. We'll rent two."
"Hm?"
Pointy Head narrowed his eyes at Leon, who was yawning in front of him. After a moment of silence, he finally let out a heavy sigh and reluctantly agreed to Leon's terms.
He'd thought he'd found a big spender, but it turned out the guy had an expert with him...
The two pedaled away on their Bubble Cars.
"Leon... Did I cause you trouble again?"
"No. Why would you think that?"
Leon turned to look at Rosinante, whose mood had sunk.
"I was supposed to take you out and show you around, but I don't know anything, and I almost let someone cheat me..."
"Hahaha."
Leon laughed and patted Rosinante on the shoulder.
"Rosinante, you didn't do anything wrong..."
"You're just too kind."
"You're a good person, Rosinante."
A warmth welled up inside Rosinante. He didn't quite understand what Leon meant, but Leon was definitely praising him!
Rosinante opened his mouth to say something, then realized Leon had already left him behind. He hurried to catch up.
