Background / History

Luo Zhou was born into a declining cultivation family descended from the Heaven and Earth Dao Sect. His parents died in the line of duty, leaving him an inheritance; his eldest brother became an apprentice in the Liang Kingdom's capital, while his younger brother was adopted by their fourth uncle and left the kingdom. Luo Zhou entered the Cuiling City Heaven and Earth Dao Academy through his family lineage. 2 6

He began cultivating at seven years old and spent six years unable to complete forty-nine forms of a single body-refining art. By recognizing the Five Elements principles within five different techniques and practicing them in a mutually generating cycle, he overcame his bottlenecks. He deliberately suppressed his awakening until he had mastered all 360 forms. 6

His Spirituality, Rewarding Good and Punishing Evil, responds to genuine pleas for help and acts of salvation or punishment. It grants him rewards and can allow him to acquire the techniques, traits, or spiritual essences of evildoers. He also exploited staged “heroic deeds” with classmates to acquire lesser spiritual essences, though Zuo Sanguang's sincere soul-cries were necessary to activate the system. 4 9

Luo Zhou first intervened when Wang Xiaoya telepathically pleaded for help during abuse by Baldy Old Wang. He rescued her, paid a fine after the family reported him, and later offered her food and protection. Following his ascension as a Hinoki Force User, Luo Zhou became taller, slender, refined, and conspicuously handsome. He can suppress or restore this striking appearance through control of his Devil Master Saint Body. 19 36

Despite his ruthlessness toward devils and corrupt cultivators, he can recognize his own faults. After confronting Zhang Quan, Luo Zhou apologized to his classmates for his past conduct and accepted Zhang Quan's reform as a great good deed. 9
