Background / History

The True Dragon has existed since the Primordial Era and helped establish the Yu Long Sect alongside the Imperial Dragon Supreme Being. He remained with the sect through countless eras, preserving its Dao lineage while witnessing the rise and fall of numerous great powers. 1244 1268

Ten thousand years before the present story, the Dragon Sovereign—his companion of tens of millions of years and a pillar of the Yu Long Sect—sought to enter the Origin Realm. The True Dragon ultimately gave him half of his primordial true blood to compensate for flaws in his Great Dao and resist the Heavenly Dao's backlash. The Dragon Sovereign failed, perished, and left the True Dragon with an irreparably damaged Dao foundation and rapidly declining lifespan. 1267

His condition is further worsened by an ancient Divine Weapon fragment embedded in his belly. The weapon's polluting force continually erodes his flesh and soul; even his dragon claws wither when they touch it. 1208

Despite his decline, the True Dragon continues to guard the Yu Long Sect. He prepares for the possibility of his death by making arrangements for the sect's future and eventually entrusts Jiang Yan with protecting it at critical moments. 1244 1268

Appearance

The True Dragon's true body is a colossal ice-blue dragon whose immense size can obscure the sky. His scales resemble ancient cold jade and bear profound runes, while pale-gold dragon qi coils between them. 1203 1264

  • Ice-blue scales, described as being as large as small mountains in his secret realm. 1196
  • Ice-blue vertical pupils resembling cold moons or abysses of ice. 1203 1264
  • Long silver-like whiskers and majestic dragon horns. 1196 1264
  • Can reduce his form into an inconspicuous little blue snake. 1197
  • In his weakened state, his scales become dull, cracked, and stripped of much of their Dao charm. 1266

Personality

The True Dragon is detached from ordinary sect affairs and usually remains asleep for long periods. He regards the Great Elders with a mixture of indifference, familiarity, and restrained gentleness, having watched generations of sect members grow old and die. 1196 1197

He is fiercely loyal to the Yu Long Sect and its founders. Though he accepts that decline and death are inevitable, he remains concerned with preserving the sect's inheritance after he is gone. 1244 1267 1268

He is also calculating when necessary. While his decline is genuine, he allows enemies to underestimate him, then exploits their greed for his body and origin. 1265

Abilities & Skills

True Dragon Bloodline and Dragon Might

The True Dragon's bloodline pressure originates from a life level beyond ordinary cultivators. Even Great Dao Lords find it difficult to resist this innate suppression. 1139 1205

  • His presence can immobilize opponents and make breathing difficult through pure bloodline pressure alone. 1205
  • His dragon might calms surrounding rules and forces lesser beings into submission. 1119
  • His claws can tear apart the void and create spatial rifts. 1119
  • His scales carry an innate majesty that cannot be replicated through ordinary cultivation. 1139

Ice-Sealing Dao

The True Dragon commands an ancient ice-sealing Dao capable of affecting space, time, and Great Dao laws. 1264 1265

  • A single detached dragon scale froze wind, spatial turbulence, a sea of golden clouds, and the flow of time across ten thousand miles. 1264
  • He can lock space layer by layer and imprison Great Dao law chains, preventing an enemy's escape. 1265
  • His ice-blue power can neutralize destructive solar force and freeze the battlefield into stillness. 1264

Devouring

The True Dragon can devour the origin and Dao power of powerful enemies to sustain himself.

  • He attempted to use the Sun Holy Master's Supreme Being origin to resist the Decline of the Five Heavens. 1264 1265
  • His opened maw produces a devouring force powerful enough to distort and collapse the surrounding starry sky. 1265
  • He swallowed the Sun Holy Master's solar Great Dao after trapping the projection within his frozen domain. 1265

Martial Dao Will Summoning

The Yu Long Sect can call upon the True Dragon's Martial Dao will through the Azure Cang Ming Dragon River. 1119

  • Lan Shuixian summoned his projected will to confront the Nine Suns Supreme and the Nine Suns Divine Bird. 1119 1120
  • The projection was strong enough to stalemate the Nine Suns Divine Bird. 1120
  • A summoned projection is weaker than his true body and is limited by the strength of its summoner. 1121

Dragon's Blessing

The True Dragon's designation and blessing can influence fate, making his chosen representatives especially significant within the Yu Long Sect. 1196

  • He appointed Su Qingxuan to guard Immortal Severing Cliff because of the Saint Son's robust bloodline and resistance to monster evil spirits. 1197 1199
  • The Sky-Splitting True Spirit bestowed a separate blessing upon him that will preserve his clarity during the final onset of monster madness. 1199

Secret Realm Creation

The True Dragon Secret Realm formed naturally around him rather than being constructed by human hands. His power distorted the surrounding rules into a Dao secret realm within the Yu Long Sect. 1196
