Background

Yu Long Sect rose to prominence through an ancient ancestor renowned for heaven-shattering cultivation. That ancestor gathered dragon descendants from across the starry sky and kept them within the sect, giving Yu Long Sect both its name and its distinctive dragonkin heritage. 1058

The sect's supremacy rests chiefly on the True Dragon integrated with its foundation. This ancient being possesses a rich True Spirit bloodline and strength beyond ordinary Dao Realm measures; its presence allowed Yu Long Sect to compel the submission of major regional powers. 1059 1126

For much of its history, Yu Long Sect remained aloof from conflicts among subordinate sects, allowing local powers to rise and fall while retaining nominal supremacy. In later years, it began intervening directly and forcefully, a shift that created widespread resentment among its dependents. 1057 1058

Organization and Governance

The Sect Master has remained in prolonged seclusion and no longer handles routine affairs. The Elder Council governs in their absence, while a smaller council of the four Great Elders determines the sect's true direction. 1124 1196

Senior Figures

  • Great Elder — Leads major council deliberations, prioritizing the True Dragon's safety and restraint in external conflict. 1126 1146
  • Zhao Yue — Third Elder, known as the Xuantian Dragon Lord; cultivates Heavenly Dragon Force to Great Accomplishment and handled the absorption of Feather Transformation Sect and Jiang Yan's recruitment. 1127 1129
  • Qin Feng — Fourth Elder; a leading combatant and patrol authority who favors decisive action against external threats and sect traitors. 1146 1261
  • Su Qingxuan — Current Saint Son. He practices the rare body-refining Diamond Tremor Moon Technique and succeeded Li Longzi after the latter's expulsion. 1130 1131
  • Li Longzi — Former Saint Son and exceptional wielder of the Fate Dao. He was expelled for violating a core secret, but later returned under a True Dragon-issued edict to assist the sect. 1274
  • Chu Xuan — Former Great Elder. He secretly conspired with the Ten Thousand Buddhas Sect to breach the sect's protective array in exchange for a True Dragon Dragon Core. 1271

Territory and Subordinate Sects

Yu Long Sect rules its territory through a loose superior–subordinate arrangement. Regional sects owe it obedience, but retain considerable autonomy and may also resist its interference. 1057

Subordinate / Associated Force Relationship with Yu Long Sect
Po Xu Sect A subordinate sect whose Old Ancestor was compelled to accept punishment for attempting to seize the Li Kong Sword Sect's inheritance. 1058
Li Kong Sword Sect A subordinate regional sect whose complaint prompted Yu Long Sect's punishment of Po Xu Old Ancestor. 1057 1058
Feather Transformation Sect Former subordinate sect later absorbed into Yu Long Sect as Feather Transformation Peak after its defeat by the Spirit Race. 1126 1128
Blazing Sun Peak A newly established Dao lineage granted to Elder Jiang Yan, furnished as a complete cultivation stronghold. 1131 1132
Zhenhai Pavilion An internal subordinate force whose master, Wei Canghai, colluded with foreign enemies and was targeted for suppression. 1273 1276

Facilities and Institutions

Whip Dragon Platform

The Whip Dragon Platform is Yu Long Sect's famed disciplinary site. Originally used to punish dragon descendants who violated sect rules, it was later extended to grave offenders among subordinate sects. 1058

  • Po Xu Old Ancestor was forcibly brought before the platform and punished by Long Shisan despite being a Dao Monarch. 1058
  • Its black stone surface is covered in old whip marks and dried dragon-beast blood. 1058
  • Further offenses may lead to confinement in the Dragon-Suppressing Prison, a punishment feared even by powerful cultivators. 1058

Scripture Pavilion

Book Cloud Peak houses the heavily guarded Scripture Pavilion, which contains the sect's key inheritances and is protected by formations, disciples, and elder-level guards. 1139

  • Its internal structure contains a spatially expanded mountain of inheritances organized around the nine great Dao principles: Gold, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth, Wind, Lightning, Space, and Time. 1139
  • The Heavenly Dragon Origin Technique is restricted to direct disciples and Great Dao Lords. 1139

Heavenly Dao

The Heavenly Dao is Yu Long Sect's supreme divine artifact. When activated, its holy light exposes concealed terrain, formations, resources, cultivation circulation, and even aspects of souls throughout the sect. 1163 1164

Dragon Locking Heaven Array

The Dragon Locking Heaven Array is a sect-scale killing formation. When deployed against Zhenhai Pavilion, it manifested as a massive ice-blue dragon and directly contested the target's mountain-protecting array. 1276

Cultivation Inheritance

Heavenly Dragon Origin Technique

The Heavenly Dragon Origin Technique is Yu Long Sect's core method for pursuing the Origin Realm. It was created around the principle of combining human and beast, using powerful beast bloodlines to overcome the Human Race's natural limitations. 1129

  • Uses the cultivator's lifespan to fuse with the bloodline power of Xiantian divine beasts. 1129
  • Offers a defined route toward the Great Origin Dao. 1130
  • Rapidly consumes lifespan, even for Great Dao Lords. 1129
  • Carries a severe risk of losing oneself and becoming a stepping stone for another being. 1130

Major Events

Punishment of Po Xu Old Ancestor

After Yu Qingjue reported Po Xu Old Ancestor's attempt to seize the Li Kong Sword Sect's inherited treasure, Yu Long Sect dispatched Long Shisan to enforce punishment. The intervention demonstrated that even a Dao Monarch could be subjected to the Whip Dragon Platform. 1058

The act also exposed growing dissatisfaction with the sect's harsher conduct. Long Shisan himself questioned whether its repeated forceful interventions would ultimately undermine Yu Long Sect's long-term stability. 1058

Absorption of Feather Transformation Sect

Following the Feather Transformation Sect's defeat, Yu Long Sect chose to incorporate its surviving lineage rather than grant it independent fertile territory. The sect created Feather Transformation Peak and offered the Feather Transformation Old Ancestor elder status, access to resources, and admission to the Scripture Pavilion for his disciples. 1126 1127

The Feather Transformation Old Ancestor initially resisted the loss of autonomy, but accepted after learning that independent resettlement would mean barren land and little prospect of recovery. 1127 1128

Recruitment of Jiang Yan

Zhao Yue invited Jiang Yan to join as an honored elder, offering access to sect resources, intelligence, formations, small worlds, and the Heavenly Dragon Origin Technique. Jiang Yan agreed primarily to study the Origin Realm inheritance. 1129 1130

The Elder Council subsequently granted him Blazing Sun Peak, which was renovated into a complete Dao lineage with a fire-aligned formation, cultivation chambers, residences, and its own Scripture Pavilion. 1131 1132

Decline and Succession Crisis

Yu Long Sect's strength had already been diminishing through the loss, absence, and death of senior experts, while Li Longzi's expulsion created further instability. 1131

Its position became more precarious after the Yu Long Supreme Being returned to the void and the True Dragon entered decline near the end of its lifespan. This attracted the Sun Holy Palace, Myriad Buddha Sect, Reincarnation Dao Field, Underworld, and other major powers seeking the sect's True Dragon heritage and accumulated resources. 1261

Internal Betrayals and the Zhenhai Pavilion Campaign

Chu Xuan plotted to open nine core nodes of the protective mountain array to the Ten Thousand Buddhas Sect in exchange for a True Dragon Dragon Core that could extend his lifespan. 1271

Wei Canghai of Zhenhai Pavilion similarly colluded with the Ten Thousand Buddhas Sect. Qin Feng, Jiang Yan, and the pardoned Li Longzi moved to suppress the rebellion before outside reinforcements could arrive. 1273 1274

During the campaign, Yu Long Sect activated the Dragon Locking Heaven Array, while Li Longzi froze and shattered the enemy formation's core with his Ice Sealing Great Divine Ability. 1276

  • Po Xu Sect — Subordinate sect disciplined through the Whip Dragon Platform after its Old Ancestor targeted Li Kong Sword Sect. 1058

  • Sun Holy Palace — Ostensibly an ally, but its Dao Lords secretly monitored Yu Long Sect in anticipation of the True Dragon's death. 1259 1261
  • Ten Thousand Buddhas Sect — Conspired with Chu Xuan and Wei Canghai to infiltrate the sect and gain access to the True Dragon Secret Realm. 1271 1273
