Background

Yu Long Sect rose to prominence through an ancient ancestor renowned for heaven-shattering cultivation. That ancestor gathered dragon descendants from across the starry sky and kept them within the sect, giving Yu Long Sect both its name and its distinctive dragonkin heritage. 1058

The sect's supremacy rests chiefly on the True Dragon integrated with its foundation. This ancient being possesses a rich True Spirit bloodline and strength beyond ordinary Dao Realm measures; its presence allowed Yu Long Sect to compel the submission of major regional powers. 1059 1126

For much of its history, Yu Long Sect remained aloof from conflicts among subordinate sects, allowing local powers to rise and fall while retaining nominal supremacy. In later years, it began intervening directly and forcefully, a shift that created widespread resentment among its dependents. 1057 1058

The sect entered a grave period of decline after the former Sect Leader Supreme returned to ruin, the True Dragon's lifespan neared its end, and external powers began coveting its heritage. Following a Supreme-level confrontation, the True Dragon transferred its inheritance and bloodline to Li Longzi, established him as the new Sect Leader Supreme, and departed to serve the Human Imperial Court under the Heavenly Heart Crown Prince. Punishment of Po Xu Old Ancestor

After Yu Qingjue reported Po Xu Old Ancestor's attempt to seize the Li Kong Sword Sect's inherited treasure, Yu Long Sect dispatched Long Shisan to enforce punishment. The intervention demonstrated that even a Dao Monarch could be subjected to the Whip Dragon Platform. 1058

The act also exposed growing dissatisfaction with the sect's harsher conduct. Long Shisan himself questioned whether its repeated forceful interventions would ultimately undermine Yu Long Sect's long-term stability. 1058

Absorption of Feather Transformation Sect

Following the Feather Transformation Sect's defeat, Yu Long Sect chose to incorporate its surviving lineage rather than grant it independent fertile territory. Recruitment of Jiang Yan

Zhao Yue invited Jiang Yan to join as an honored elder, offering access to sect resources, intelligence, formations, small worlds, and the Heavenly Dragon Origin Technique. Jiang Yan agreed primarily to study the Origin Realm inheritance. 1129 1130

The Elder Council subsequently granted him Blazing Sun Peak, which was renovated into a complete Dao lineage with a fire-aligned formation, cultivation chambers, residences, and its own Scripture Pavilion. 1131 1132

Decline and Succession Crisis

Yu Long Sect's strength had already been diminishing through the loss, absence, and death of senior experts, while Li Longzi's expulsion created further instability. 1131

Its position became more precarious after the Yu Long Supreme Being returned to the void and the True Dragon entered decline near the end of its lifespan. This attracted the Sun Holy Palace, Myriad Buddha Sect, Reincarnation Dao Field, Underworld, and other major powers seeking the sect's True Dragon heritage and accumulated resources. 1261

Internal Betrayals and the Zhenhai Pavilion Campaign

Chu Xuan plotted to open nine core nodes of the protective mountain array to the Ten Thousand Buddhas Sect in exchange for a True Dragon Dragon Core that could extend his lifespan. 1271

Wei Canghai of Zhenhai Pavilion similarly colluded with the Ten Thousand Buddhas Sect. Qin Feng, Jiang Yan, and the pardoned Li Longzi moved to suppress the rebellion before outside reinforcements could arrive. 1273 1274

During the campaign, Yu Long Sect activated the Dragon Locking Heaven Array, while Li Longzi froze and shattered the enemy formation's core with his Ice Sealing Great Divine Ability. 1276

Falling Star Sect Expedition and Qin Feng's Death

Qin Feng led an expedition against Falling Star Sect to demonstrate that Yu Long Sect still retained the strength to punish challenges to its authority. Jiang Yan warned that hidden forces might be supporting the target, but permitted Qin Feng to proceed so that the Fourth Elder could establish his own authority. 1292

Qin Feng was subsequently killed by the Battle Saint Ape, an ancient innate divine species connected to the Sun Holy Palace. The attack exposed the Sun Holy Palace's open hostility and intensified the sect's internal conflict over whether to seek revenge or preserve its remaining strength. 1299 1300

Li Longzi volunteered to avenge Qin Feng, and Jiang Yan accompanied him. Jiang Yan ultimately slew the Battle Saint Ape, after which Qin Feng's surviving faction submitted to Jiang Yan's command. 1300 1309

Supreme Confrontation and Li Longzi's Succession

A Supreme-level confrontation devastated Yu Long Sect's surrounding territory and permanently damaged its spiritual environment, which the True Dragon estimated would require at least one hundred thousand years to recover. The conflict was neither a victory nor a defeat, having been forcibly halted by an envoy of the Human Imperial Court. 1333

The True Dragon agreed to serve the Heavenly Heart Crown Prince for roughly a thousand years, while warning that the mission could determine whether it survived or returned to dust. Before departing, it transferred its inheritance and bloodline to Li Longzi and formally appointed him Yu Long Sect's Sect Leader Supreme. 1333

Restoration of Supreme Prestige

Jiang Yan attained the Human Supreme Realm and publicly proclaimed his Fire Ultimate Realm, Liao, granting Dao insight to cultivators who heard his declaration. Yu Long Sect emerged from sealed seclusion and collectively honored him as one of its Supreme protectors. 1382
