The Instinct for Battle
Given Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto's proud nature, how could he possibly entrust the task of protecting Soul Society to someone else so easily?
When Aizen entered the Anti-Membrane, he agreed to Hirako and the others' suggestion for two reasons: first, to protect the safety of the other seriously injured captains; and second, to take advantage of the brief time that Hirako and the others were fighting against Aizen to obtain as much information as possible about Aizen.
Judging from the actions of Hirako and his group and Urahara, Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto deduced that Urahara Kisuke was someone who knew about Aizen's abilities.
What Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto didn't expect was that not only Urahara knew about Aizen's Kyoka Suigetsu ability, but the other captains also knew about it to varying degrees. What made him even angrier was that his two disciples were keeping it from him, claiming it was to prevent Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto from being controlled by Aizen and causing a situation like theirs where the captains killed each other.
Knowing the details, Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto angrily rebuked the two arrogant students, and then issued the Captain-Commander's order: Unohana Retsu would use her Bankai to heal herself and Kenpachi Zaraki, and Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto himself, along with the two generations of Kenpachi, would fight Aizen.
After Unohana Retsu uses Everything's Gone her spiritual pressure, healing two people won't over-digest her spiritual pressure, allowing her to maintain her combat power to the maximum extent. Meanwhile Kenpachi Zaraki is a powerful weapon against Aizen.
Even Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto had to acknowledge the immense power of Kyoka Suigetsu Suigetsu's ability to control the five senses, but that didn't mean there wasn't a way to fight Aizen.
Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto's Ryūjin Jakka allows him to control the power of flames. To some extent, Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto is also extremely sensitive to temperature. This is not Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto's personal sense, but rather information obtained from Ryūjin Jakka Ryūjin Jakka a bridge.
In other words, Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto only needs to constantly monitor Ryūjin Jakka's perception of flame temperature to locate the enemy. It doesn't matter whether it's Aizen or not; he can just slash him with his sword.
Based on this principle, Toshiro Hitsugaya should also be able to sense the enemy's location in the Kyoka Suigetsu, Water Moon. However, Toshiro lacked both the person and the sword, so Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto did not bring him along.
Unohana Retsu's method is much simpler. She judges her enemies by their killing intent. After using Everything's Gone, her own killing intent collides with her opponent's, making it easy to determine the enemy's location.
The ability to sense killing intent is not one of the five senses; it is a skill that Unohana Retsu honed amidst mountains of corpses and seas of blood. With her keen insight into killing intent, Unohana Retsu is always able to strike first, before her enemy can even make a move.
Finally, there's Kenpachi Zaraki. Unohana Retsu's request to relinquish the title of Kenpachi and join the Fourth Division was personally approved by Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto. Of course, Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto knew that Kenpachi Zaraki was a monster born for killing.
Before Unohana Retsu treated Kenpachi Zaraki, Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto knelt down in front of Kenpachi Zaraki and instructed him, "Don't believe anything you see or hear. Fight entirely on your instincts!"
This was Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto's instruction to Kenpachi Zaraki: to let Kenpachi Zaraki fully unleash his fighting instincts and fight with his "heart".
Combat instinct, a mysterious concept, is in some ways similar to Tsuna's Hyper Intuition. It is a power that monsters like Kenpachi Zaraki, born for killing, naturally possess.
The spiritual pressure of the Kido manifested as four ridges dividing the heavens and earth. Each ridge had a different spiritual pressure, but they were all very similar. One end of the four ridges was joined together, while the other end was arranged in a rectangle, forming an inverted triangular pyramid that completely contained the Sogyoku Hill.
"Bakudo Seventy-Three: Tōzanshō!" x4
A giant inverted triangular cone completely sealed off the Sogyoku Hill and the sky above it. This move was made by four people: Urahara Kisuke, Yoruichi Shihōin Shihouin, Kūkaku Shiba, and Hachigen Ushōda.
"Captain-Commander Yamamoto, you don't actually think that a mere Number 70 Bakudo can trap me, do you?" Aizen asked with a hint of disdain.
"Of course not, this Bakudo is merely something I've confined myself with," Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto said, drawing Aizen Ryūjin Jakka pointing it at Aizen.
This Kido was a spur-of-the-moment idea from Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto. He asked Urahara Kisuke if there was a way to temporarily seal off the space of Sōkyoku. Urahara didn't expect Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto to ask this question. Due to the short time, Urahara could only use Kido with people he knew, which was not a very high-ranking Kido, Tōzanshō.
As for when Kūkaku Shiba arrived, Ganju gradually realized that Rukia and Ukitake were not the people he had imagined. So before the execution, he went home and asked his older sister to help save Rukia.
Originally, Kūkaku Shiba was preparing to make a grand entrance with the Kakkaku Cannon, but Aizen's strength grew stronger and stronger, so Kūkaku Shiba had to suppress her own plans and wait patiently by the side of Sōkyoku for the right moment. As a result, she was conscripted by Urahara.
Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto had no choice. The former head and deputy Kido of the Kidō Corps were no longer in Soul Society, and the Kido power in Soul Society was far inferior to that of a hundred years ago. On the contrary, the group around Urahara possessed the most outstanding Kido strength.
Now that the Tōzanshō is complete, it's time for Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto to reveal his true purpose. "Bankai!"
The interior of the Tōzanshō was instantly engulfed by a sea of fire, the temperature continued to rise, and the figure of Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto was revealed amidst the rolling heat waves. He held a Zanpakuto bathed in intense flames, and his haori had turned to ashes. His battle intent was constantly brewing beneath his tightly closed eyes.
"The Great Fire Sword," Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto said calmly. The Mountain -Tōzanshō was used to limit his Bankai and prevent Bankai power from harming Soul Society. He wanted to end this battle before the Tōzanshō could hold out!
The Great Fire Sword? A hint of surprise flashed in Tsuna's eyes. It wasn't the Zanka no Tachi? Feeling the rapidly rising temperature around him, Tsuna understood. Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto was going to use his Zanpakuto to fight Aizen.
This kind of power to change the environment is something that the fire poker of the Zanka no Tachi could not achieve; that fire poker contained extreme destructive power.
The moment Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto Bankai, Unohana Retsu and Kenpachi Zaraki also sought out their opponents. They followed Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto's example, using spiritual pressure to seal their five senses and relying solely on their own methods to find their opponents.
Unohana Retsu approached Gin Ichimaru, Gin Ichimaru hundred-meter Zanjutsu she had never seen before. She hoped that Gin Ichimaru could bring her more joy after witnessing the Yachiru. Unfortunately, after sealing her five senses, she was unable to communicate with Gin Ichimaru.
Both of the big shots had chosen their opponents, Kenpachi Zaraki could only set his sights on Kaname Tōsen. To be honest, he was a little unhappy. Kaname Tōsen looked like the weakest of the three. Oh well, there weren't many opportunities to fight Captain-level opponent. Even if he was weak, he was still a worthy opponent.
Unohana Retsu didn't even get close to Gin Ichimaru. Her Blood Blade transformed into a long whip and lashed out at Gin Ichimaru. Gin Ichimaru didn't dare to be careless and immediately activated the Shinsō, unleashing his Unleashed Steps once more, breaking through the sea of blood that spread along with the Blood Blade.
In an instant, Unohana Retsu and Gin Ichimaru were locked in combat, occupying the furthest fighting distance yet being the first to engage in battle.
The sudden appearance of a battle nearby ignited Kenpachi Zaraki's fighting spirit, and he charged towards Kaname Tōsen with a loud laugh.
Kaname Tōsen looked distressed. Strictly speaking, he was only at half health, and fighting the easiest monster in Seireitei in this state was not a good idea.
With no other option, Kaname Tōsen put on the Hollow Visored and, with his clumsy Cero and Suzumushi clearing the way, soon found himself locked in battle with Kenpachi Zaraki.
Both sides' lieutenants have already made their moves. Aizen has also set his sights on Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto. After the battle began, he understood why Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto brought these two people with him. They both ignored the illusion created by Kyoka Suigetsu.
Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto went even further, relying on the "vision" transmitted by the Great Fire Sword to charge towards Aizen. He didn't have much time and needed to deal with Aizen as soon as possible.
Sword Drawing Technique, Fiery Tornado.
With a single slash, a violent fire tornado enveloped Aizen; this was an advanced version of Matsubara's technique, the fire tornado containing explosive fire power.
A mirror-like blade emerged from the fire tornado. With Mirror Clarity, the fiery tornado was instantly shattered. As the Zanpakuto swung, the sea of fire gradually became mirror-like. Aizen had already figured out how Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto broke Kyoka Suigetsu. If Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto couldn't find its temperature, what could he do?
A mirror image appeared on Aizen's body, and then Aizen merged with the sea of fire, hiding in the mirror. Aizen wanted to assimilate himself and the surrounding environment.
Having lost his target, Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto received the message from the Great Fire Sword the moment Aizen hid himself. Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto didn't believe that Aizen's hypnosis could even work on devices, so there was only one reason: Aizen had hidden himself.
Without time to think, Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto thrust his Great Fire Sword in the air, his spiritual pressure transforming into flames that surged wildly from the Great Fire Sword. In the next moment, the sea of fire gradually solidified under the infusion of spiritual pressure.
The upgraded version of the Scorching Hell, the Lava Hell!
The temperature inside the Tōzanshō was rising wildly. Urahara and the others who were maintaining the Bakudo outside couldn't help but gasp in astonishment. This was the power of Captain-Commander Yamamoto. If Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto continued to unleash this power, the time they could maintain it would be reduced by half.
Inside the Tōzanshō, everyone except Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto and Aizen stopped fighting. Gin Ichimaru and Kaname Tōsen took out specially made white silk to wrap themselves in, while Unohana Retsu was soaked in blood. Kenpachi Zaraki was in a worse state, as he could only use his spiritual pressure to withstand the attack.
Even Tsuna was watching the show from the sidelines, had no choice but to light a circle of Sky Flame around himself to calm the terrifying environment. No wonder Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto was called the Sword Demon; without some strength, it was impossible to be Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto's teammate.
Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto's attack worked immediately. The area that Aizen had mirrored began to soften and melt. No matter what, a mirror is still a mirror, and it could not withstand the heat of the flames. Aizen's true form had no choice but to be revealed.
The moment Aizen appeared, Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto immediately stopped his Lava Hell attack, instantly switching his stance and unleashing a horizontal slash.
The city is engulfed in flames!
Nearly incandescent flames accompanied the slash. Unlike the fiery palm-shaped form of the City Wall on Fire, this slash was Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto's pure fire attack, embodying all of Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto's understanding of fire.
It was this move that gave Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto a new understanding of Bankai, allowing him to condense all the flames into his Zanpakuto over a thousand years, turning a perfectly good Zanpakuto into a fire poker containing the ultimate fire attack.
(PS: Regarding Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto's Bankai, I believe that the form of Bankai can be changed. A thousand years ago, against his Yhwach, Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto, with the title of Great Fire Sword, unleashed a sea of fire that burned his teammates and enemies to death.)
A thousand years later, when facing Yhwach again, Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto's Bankai became Zanka no Tachi. At this time, Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto had lost an arm, and the thousand years had softened his heart. Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto also knew that his strength was no longer at its peak, and he had to use the most destructive move to quickly kill Yhwach, so he chose Zanka no Tachi.
I believe that since Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto can wield the Zanka no Tachi, he must also be able to master techniques from a thousand years ago. In a battlefield where temperature manipulation is crucial, Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto would choose the Great Fire Sword, which alters the environment. (That's all.)
