Gotei 13 and the Royal Guard
"That's it for dealing with the Central 46. Next, let's discuss capturing Aizen." Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto set the tone directly, moving the meeting to the next stage.
Tsuna blinked his big eyes. He clearly came to cause trouble for Sasakibe, so how did he unknowingly get involved in the affairs of Soul Society?
"Sawada Tsunayoshi, what are your thoughts on capturing Aizen?"
That old man Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto is really wicked. Even though Tsuna had already expressed that he wasn't interested in Aizen, he still insisted on asking Tsuna's opinion.
Tsuna's eyes darted around, and a smug smile appeared on his lips. He wasn't afraid to offer suggestions; what he was afraid of was that Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto wouldn't dare to do them. The Old Man Yamamoto was always making things difficult for him, Tsuna didn't mind giving him some challenges.
"Since you've asked so sincerely, shall I begin to discuss this?"
"Speak freely."
Tsuna glanced at Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto with surprise. He had accepted that the Old Man Yamamoto wasn't rigid, but the fact that the Captain-Commander was so open-minded still made him a little uncomfortable. Speak freely? Then let the old man hear it.
"Manager, have you informed everyone of Aizen's purpose?" Tsuna asked.
Urahara nodded, and Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto uttered two words directly, "Soul King!"
"That's right, it's the Soul King. Aizen wants to kick the Soul King off the throne and become the new king himself," Tsuna summarized, then asked, "Is it really necessary to stop Aizen?"
"Tsuna- kun, what do you mean by this? Aizen is disrupting the peace of Soul Society, and as members of the Gotei 13, it is certainly necessary for us to take action," Kyōraku said, frowning.
"Yes, I agree with what Captain Kyōraku said, but I don't think Aizen's desire to become king conflicts with the stability of Soul Society."
"In my opinion, apart from the store manager Hirako, who clearly have a grudge against Aizen, there's no need for others to be so opposed to Aizen."
Urahara lowered the brim of his hat, revealing a wry smile. When Hirako invited Tsuna to help but was Tsuna refused, Urahara had already guessed that Tsuna had ulterior motives.
It would be good if Aizen could be killed by Hirako; for Tsuna, his friend's revenge would have been avenged. If Aizen couldn't be killed, then he would have achieved his goal. Urahara keenly noticed that at that moment, a hint of amusement flashed in Tsuna's eyes.
"Sawada Tsunayoshi, we uphold the Gotei Principles!" Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto's tone rose slightly, subtly challenging Tsuna. He couldn't understand why someone who understood the Gotei Principles so well would choose to let Aizen go unchecked.
"Yes, the Gotei 13 protects the Seireitei and the Soul Society, but their duties don't include protecting that place, do they?"
Tsuna raised his finger and pointed to the sky. Everyone understood what Tsuna was referring to: the Soul King Palace, located above the 72 barriers!
Kyōraku swallowed hard. Only then did he realize how audacious Tsuna was, even scheming to include the Soul King Palace in his plans. There was no way Kyoraku could possibly pull such a thing now.
"Tsuna, once the Soul King Palace falls, the Soul Society will be doomed. I think we should stop Aizen," Ukitake suggested.
"What's the panic? The Gotei 13 is responsible for protecting the Guardian. The protection of the Soul King Palace is handled by the Royal Guard. Instead of those people sitting in the sky doing nothing, let's give them something to do."
Here they come, here they come. Urahara saw the same look in Tsuna's eyes as before. Tsuna was clearly watching Aizen and the Royal Guard ' good time.
"I regret letting you speak," Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto said with a hint of helplessness. "Have you considered what the worst-case scenario would be if the Royal Guard failed and the Soul King Palace fell?"
"The worst-case scenario? Aizen becomes the new Soul King, Soul Society undergoes a complete overhaul from top to bottom according to his will." Tsuna said matter-of-factly, "Old Man Yamamoto, you could say that Aizen and you are doing the same thing, only your methods are more moderate, while Aizen's are more radical."
After the Sasakibe's explanation, everyone understood what the so-called reform meant: to break down the interests of the old aristocracy and reshape a new set of interests.
"What if Aizen's rise to power leads to rivers of blood flowing in Soul Society?" Ukitake continued to ask.
"I think you're overthinking it. First of all, if Aizen wanted to kill someone, given Kyoka Suigetsu Suigetsu's abilities, among everyone here, only Old Man Yamamoto would survive if he were alone, right?"
"In other words, if Aizen wanted to achieve his goals through killing, he would have done it long ago. Just like when he was doing research, he had no boundaries of bioethics. So why did he only kill Central 46 in the Sōkyoku incident?"
"Secondly, you don't actually think we're completely unprepared, do you? Ukitake, you underestimate the shop manager. Over the years, the shop manager has developed some preparations."
Tsuna glanced at Urahara, Urahara and said, "We've found a way to access the coordinates of the Soul King Palace. Once the Royal Guard are unable to resist Aizen, we can immediately provide support to the Soul King Palace."
Tsuna was very pleased. He hadn't told Urahara about his plan to watch the show, but Urahara had already made preparations.
"That... isn't a bad idea. If none of us can resist Aizen, it doesn't matter whether the Gotei 13 falls before or after the Royal Guard," Kyōraku said.
"It sounds feasible," Ukitake said, but he still had another plan in mind: if the Soul King's position became unstable, he would use Mimihagi's power to maintain the stability of Soul Society.
Ukitake didn't know was that he liked to keep things hidden, and Urahara, being a cunning merchant, liked to keep things hidden even more. The two children in Urahara Shop, Koume and Jinta, were actually candidates for the Soul King created by Urahara.
Ever since he learned that the existence of the Soul King was just a prelude, Urahara had already begun preparing for the situation where the prelude would break. Koume and Jinta were born under this purpose. In order to protect the two of them, Urahara instructed Kukaku Shiba by his side at all times.
In terms of scientific research ability, Urahara, Kurotsuchi Mayuri, and Aizen were all very capable. However, while Kurotsuchi Mayuri still studying the scientific path of the human body and soul, Aizen was seeking to break through the limitations of species, Urahara had already begun his theological research.
It's impossible to say which of the three has the strongest or weakest research ability; their research is not on the same level at all. The only area where they have some overlap is Aizen and Urahara's research on the Hogyoku.
Aizen researched the Hogyoku to break through limits and increase his strength, while Urahara intended to use it to stabilize the Three Worlds and replace the Soul King. However, Urahara's research progress was quite slow, and Hogyoku had his eye on the Hogyoku Aizen, so he had no choice but to hide it.
"Sawada Tsunayoshi, I ask you, if it comes to the final moment, will you become Aizen's enemy?" Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto asked.
"Relax, Old Man Yamamoto, my goal is to have some fun, not to destroy the world. I haven't had enough of World of the Living carefree life yet," Tsuna said.
Tsuna's goal has never changed: whoever destroys the world will be dealt with. As for Aizen, he doesn't affect his normal life, so Tsuna is completely indifferent.
"The Royal Guard are all as strong as I am. If even they can't do anything..." Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto didn't finish his sentence. If the Royal Guard couldn't do anything, then his intervention would be pointless and a waste of his energy.
Tsuna's eyes lit up, and he asked curiously, "Old Man Yamamoto, compared to you, who is stronger among the Zero Squad members?"
When Tsuna transmigrated, the Thousand-Year Blood War had just been released, and he didn't see the scenes in the anime that gave the Zero Squad more screen time. After all, in the manga, the Zero Squad's strength was quite average, and they were easily defeated by Yhwach and his group.
"Over the past thousand years, some Bleach have been promoted to the Zero Squad for their outstanding contributions. Before they went up there, their strength was certainly not as good as mine, but after they ascended to the Soul King Palace, the Soul King's power would rebuild their bodies."
Upon hearing this, Tsuna thought of the King Key. The enhanced bodies of the Zero Squad were the King Key, something Aizen intended to create using Karakura Town.
"Regarding the enhancement of the body, it is said that they have a secret method that concentrates the power of everyone in the squad into one person. I have never fought it myself, so I cannot judge who is stronger," Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto said.
The Zero Squad in this world is quite different from what Tsuna had imagined. He silently assessed his own strength and casually continued, "Old Man Yamamoto, you're so strong, didn't the Zero Squad take a liking to you?"
"Only those who have made significant contributions to Soul Society can be promoted to the Zero Squad," Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto explained, then chuckled, "However, that's just what's said publicly."
"I did receive an invitation from Zero Squad, but my plan has not yet been completed, so I politely declined."
"Not only me, but also the seventh Kenpachi, Kuruyashiki Kenpachi, received an invitation from the Zero Squad, but he couldn't stand the boring job of a guard and refused as well."
I know a little about Kuruyashiki Kenpachi Tsuna; he's very strong. His Bankai summons a giant mouth that devours everything. If not used properly, this Bankai could also destroy the world.
Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto said that, Tsuna probably had a clear idea of what was going on. Even if the Zero Squad couldn't beat Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto, they probably wouldn't be that much weaker. The Zero Squad's strength was roughly at the level where, if they went all out, they would have a certain impact on the world.
Seeing Tsuna in thought, Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto continued, "We'll discuss the solution to Aizen another day; I need to consider it further."
"Hirako Shinji, continue to make arrangements for capturing Aizen. You will be in charge. We need to make multiple preparations," Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto instructed. In Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto's view, Hirako, who could force Aizen to reveal his true strength, was very suitable for this task.
"Yes, Captain-Commander!" Just as Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto had guessed, Hirako was very enthusiastic. Hirako's true intention was still to kill Aizen.
"That's enough for today. Shunsui Kyōraku Hirako Shinji, hurry up and arrange your things. Everyone, you may leave now," Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto said.
"Well, that's all for now. It's time to get down to business. Chōjirō Sasakibe, let's draw the line. I don't like ambushes as much as you do. Let's settle this head-on." Tsuna tried his best to show Sasakibe a gentle smile.
As soon as Tsuna said that, everyone who was about to get up sat down again. They were joking, of course they would watch the show before leaving.
With everyone's eyes focused on him, Sasakibe had no choice but to bite the bullet and step forward. He needed to seize the opportunity; his Ōetsu Nimaiya might still have a chance of winning.
"Chōjirō, sit down." Sasakibe had only taken two steps when Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto called him back.
"Hey, Old Man Yamamoto, this is a feud between him and me. You're not going to interfere, are you?" Tsuna asked arrogantly. He was clearly after revenge, and he couldn't afford to be weak.
"Chōjirō can't beat you, so this counts as a loss for my First Division." Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto looked at Tsuna with a mischievous smile. "According to the rules of causing trouble, if you beat up the kid, the old guy comes."
"Let's skip those unimportant steps and let this old man play with you, shall we?"
