Absolute Precision
Ishida Ryuuken's archery skills were extremely ingenious. Unlike Uryū, he did not prefer to use a full-coverage tactic in battle; instead, he used a strategy of single-shot bursts more often.
Even so, every arrow from Ryūken hit Ichigo in the most unfavorable spot. Ichigo had only taken two steps forward using Flash Step when Ryūken forced him back to his original position with two consecutive three-shot attacks.
Ichigo was red-faced from the blows. Although the arrows weren't very powerful, and he could have easily swept them away with a swing of his sword, every arrow from Ryūken hit the same spot with Zangetsu. That's how Ryūken managed to suppress him.
Ichigo gritted his teeth, staring at the leisurely strolling Ishida Ryuuken, desperately wanting to use Getsuga Tensho. But he dared not, because behind Ryūken were Masa and Orihime.
For Ichigo, the most convenient ways to break through the Ryūken's suppression are Getsuga Tensho and Fullbring arrows, but these two moves are too powerful and have too wide a range, so Ichigo doesn't dare to use them easily.
"Why not use it? Getsuga Tensho?"
Ryūken's cold voice was full of sarcasm. He could tell what Ichigo was thinking at a glance. A guy like Ichigo who just buried himself in his work loved to use his ultimate move to clear the way.
Ichigo didn't answer; he was still looking for an opportunity.
"Are you afraid of hurting Masa? I can change positions."
Ryūken flashed and appeared right behind Ichigo. His flying Ryūken Hirenkyaku was so fast that Ichigo didn't even see how he moved.
But right now, Ichigo wasn't concerned about Ryūken at all; he was concerned about Masa and Orihime. After Ryūken made way, he immediately rushed towards Masa and the others, Zangetsu, intending to shatter the cage with a single strike.
"It's really easy to understand."
Ryūken raised his hand and fired three Spirit Bow and Arrows in Ichigo's back. Sensing the threat behind him, Ichigo had no choice but to stop.
Since that's the case, the spiritual pressure accumulated on Zangetsu was released directly towards Ryūken, and a sweeping Getsuga Tensho went straight towards Ryūken.
The powerful crescent moon deflected the three arrows, its momentum unstoppable.
Ryūken calmly adjusted his glasses, and just as Crescent Moon was about to hit him, he raised his hand and fired an arrow.
The crescent moon was shattered, and these fragmented spiritual pressures were then controlled by Ryūken, all contained within his free palm. Ryūken was the Sklaverei of the Reishi, and he stole Ichigo's Getsuga Tensho.
"His spiritual pressure is strong but not concentrated; his weaknesses are too obvious. He will only become someone else's plaything," Ryūken commented.
Ichigo understood that he couldn't give up easily today without defeating Ishida Ryuuken, so there was no point in hesitating.
"Bankai!"
Bathed in black spiritual pressure, Ichigo transformed into a blur, Ichigo to see if Ishida Ryuuken could still move so easily after Bankai.
Just as Ichigo had expected, after Bankai, Ryūken stopped firing arrows so easily, and even when he deliberately left afterimages in the air, it didn't attract Ryūken's attention.
Ichigo the moment, Tensa Zangetsu to Flash Step in front of Ryūken, and slashed at Ryūken -wielding arm. He still held back, not aiming for a vital spot.
Ichigo hadn't expected that his powerful strike would only result in a clang; Tensa Zangetsu couldn't even cut a sliver of skin off Ryūken, making no progress whatsoever on Ryūken's body.
Many fine, tree-branch-like Reishi particle patterns appeared on Ryūken's body surface. These were defensive techniques that injected Reishi into his blood vessels, known Blut Vene.
Just as Ichigo struck Ryūken, Ryūken's assessment arrived at the opportune moment. "The Quincy's fighting methods are not limited to bows and arrows."
With a flick of his finger, Ryūken pulled a long, thin piece of equipment into his hand. He infused it with the Reishi he had acquired from Reishi, and a blue Ryūken was gripped in his hand.
The Ryūken, a weapon capable of severing the Soul Cutter, struck Ichigo's chest without any hesitation Ichigo flew through the air, bleeding profusely, and appeared to be in serious condition.
Only Ryūken knew that it was just a minor injury. Based on his professional experience as a doctor, he could guarantee that the stab wound only looked terrifying and would not affect Ichigo's mobility.
Ryūken's understanding didn't mean others understood. The two women trapped in the cage panicked. Orihime immediately summoned Tsubaki to slash at the cage, but the power of the Arc Shield was limited, making it difficult for Orihime to escape.
While Masa was furious, she still retained some rationality. She knew that Ryūken was just training Ichigo, but that Ryūken wasn't teaching anything, so how was Ichigo supposed to learn anything from him?
Ichigo was the same; he didn't even bother to ask his uncle what was wrong, and he panicked as soon as he saw that they were in trouble.
There was nothing Masa could do but loudly explain the Quincy's abilities to Ichigo, saying, "You never know when you'll have to pick up the theoretical knowledge you've lost again."
Hearing Masa's words, Ichigo calmed down a bit. That's right, this is just training. If he calmly learns the Quincy abilities, his Mom and Orihime will be fine.
Ichigo calmed his mind to comprehend the theoretical knowledge Masa was imparting, but this was battlefield training, and there was no time for Ichigo to calm his mind.
Two more arrows shot Ichigo, Ichigo his sword to block them with some annoyance.
Two similar yet completely different sounds rang out from Tensa Zangetsu, the two arrows hitting the same spot at the same time, and Ichigo's hand holding the sword was even knocked away.
Studying hard isn't as simple as it seems.
When it came to teaching Ichigo, Ryūken had a completely different approach than when he taught Tsuna and Uryū.
Time was limited, Ichigo's abilities were complex, which meant that Ryūken couldn't learn about Ichigo's training step by step, in terms of months and years, as he had done with Tsuna and Uryū.
Ichigo is not bad-minded, and his grades are among the best in school. He can also use his ingenuity appropriately in battle.
Therefore, Ryūken decided to let Ichigo comprehend the power of the Quincy in battle. Life and death, family and friends—each of these became a driving force for Ichigo to become stronger.
As Ryūken's arrows rained down, Ichigo began to flee in a sorry state. He could only hear parts of Masa's theory, making it impossible for Ichigo to concentrate on his studies.
"You wretched old man, take this!"
A black crescent moon appeared out of nowhere, followed by a black arrow. It used Getsuga Tensho to cover the Fullbring attack, a technique that Ichigo had already learned when Ichigo the Bleach powers.
This time, Ryūken didn't raise his glasses again. Instead, he drew his Spirit Bow. Ichigo's two moves certainly qualified him to draw his bow, but that was all.
The bowstring that Ryūken pulled only reached his forearm. With two whooshing sounds, two slightly stronger Reishi were shot out, accurately finding the weak points of Getsuga Tensho and the black arrow, and destroying them with a single arrow.
The only cost was that Ryūken used a little more effort. Ryūken confidence always lay in his accurate estimation of the enemy's moves and the precision of his own.
After breaking through Ichigo's attack, the Ryūken continued its barrage of arrows like a machine gun, relentlessly forcing Ichigo to flee. Whenever Ichigo tried to raise his sword or draw his bow, arrows would accurately stop Ichigo.
This forced Ichigo to constantly change his position using Flash Step, but every time he stopped, an arrow would accurately find his location.
Ichigo wasn't stupid; he knew that Ryūken had seen through his Flash Step. So he switched to Fullbring Light, but it still had no effect. The arrows seemed to have a tracking system installed, always finding his location.
Ichigo even steeled his heart, put on his Visored, Sonido appeared in front of Ryūken, only to be met with Soul Cutter condensed from his spiritual pressure.
Flash Step, Fullbring Light, and Sonido were all useless. As the cross -Ichigo shaped swords gathered in Ichigo's chest, a glimmer of light flashed through his mind. He seemed to understand Ryūken's idea a little better. What he needed to use was not spiritual pressure, but Reishi!
If Flash Step is a short-distance sprint, Fullbring Light is a leap, and Sonido is a spatial teleportation, each of these three footworks has its own characteristics, and it mainly depends on the user's ability.
The speed of the Sonido is the fastest, but it is also the least flexible. The instantaneous change in spatial position causes the user to be slightly delayed, and Ryūken seized this opportunity to strike Ichigo with Ichigo blow.
Compared to the previous three footwork styles, the Hirenkyaku is more like skating on Reishi. Its biggest advantage is its Activation, allowing for adjustments to the body's position in extremely small spaces.
To break through Ryūken's relentless and accurate pursuit, what is undoubtedly needed is the Hirenkyaku, which allows him to adjust his position as the arrows arrive and dodge Ryūken's attacks.
If you have an idea, just try it. Masa hasn't explained the working principle of the Hirenkyaku yet, but that's okay. The core of the Quincy's ability is Reishi control. As long as you control the Reishi under your feet, that should be enough!
Tiny, almost imperceptible Reishi appeared beneath Ichigo's feet, but since Ichigo was still fleeing, there was no good way to concentrate them.
Ichigo could only run around aimlessly as Ryūken beat him, so he simply stopped paying attention to Masa and Ryūken and focused all his attention on controlling the changes in the Reishi.
Another arrow was about to hit Ichigo when, as if he had stepped on a banana Ichigo, he slipped and fell in mid-air. The change in his body allowed him to Ichigo dodge the arrow.
It was at this moment that the rhythm of the arrows suppressing Ichigo broke down, and Ichigo retaliated by throwing an arrow at Ryūken.
Ryūken calmly dodged with his Hirenkyaku, a faint smile appearing on his face. As the strongest Quincy in the World of the Living, how could he not see the problem? Ichigo had already opened the door to the Hirenkyaku Kick technique.
Ichigo's fall just now was because he wasn't used to the way the Hirenkyaku Kick moved, and he lost his balance like he stepped on a banana peel.
Even though it was only the tip of his toes, Ryūken was certain that it was the Hirenkyaku.
No wonder that brat Sawada Tsunayoshi told him to train Ichigo to the death. With Ichigo Kurosaki's talent, he could completely skip the lengthy theoretical studies and go straight into combat practice.
In a real battle, Ichigo Kurosaki is capable of mastering the abilities and techniques of Quincy!
