The Vanished Modified Soul
The First Division, the Sasakibe, are being whipped around by tops amidst a sky full of lightning, and are in a very sorry state.
Before entering Soul Society, Sasakibe didn't expect things to be so difficult, because Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto was going to suppress the entire Seireitei, and Sasakibe's goal was just to go back to the First Division to find out the location of that Fake Mountain.
Given his familiarity with the First Division Sasakibe, he could figure out Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto's situation in the First Division without even having to engage in a battle.
To his surprise, when he emerged from a secret passage, he was ambushed by the First Division soldiers.
The Fake Jirō had already guessed that the Sasakibe would return to the First Division. He used the name of the Captain-Commander to put the First Division on martial law. He really couldn't guess which secret passage the Sasakibe would come out from, but he only needed to put people to guard each secret passage entrance.
The decision to trade numbers for the real Sasakibe is something the Fake Jirō can't even imagine how the real Sasakibe could make it into the First Division.
The Fake Jirō is one of the few Captain-level members who wasn't sent by Inaba to eliminate the Kidō Corps, mainly for two reasons.
First, he wanted to keep the Fake Jirō in the First Division. Inaba didn't want the Bleach to find out the true situation of the Fake Mountain in the First Division so quickly; he needed to create the illusion that the fake Fake Mountain had always been in the First Division.
Secondly, it's because of Genryūmaru. After materializing, Genryūmaru clearly dislikes the real Sasakibe. Unlike the other captured Zanpakuto, Genryūmaru clearly intends to teach the real Sasakibe a lesson.
Therefore, by leaving behind the Fake Jirō and Genryūmaru, Inaba's goal was to eliminate the real Sasakibe.
Having lost the chance to become the ruler of Soul Society, Inaba can only do everything possible to take revenge on Soul Society. Killing Chōjirō Sasakibe by Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto's side, is a good choice.
When the real Sasakibe was discovered by his former comrades, the Fake Jirō had already arrived with Genryūmaru. The real Sasakibe had no intention of blaming the soldiers who discovered him.
The two Chōjirō Sasakibe standing opposite each other truly created a visual effect reminiscent of the Monkey King and his imposters. With Genryūmaru also standing on the side of the imposter, the members of the First Division had no choice but to believe that the fake one was the real Sasakibe.
Sasakibe could only quickly use Flash Step to pull himself to an open area to avoid hurting the team members, while behind him, fine yellow lightning had already resounded throughout the entire First Division.
Genryūmaru's idea was to teach the real Sasakibe a lesson, and most of his attacks were aimed at non-lethal areas. However, the Fake Jirō did not do the same. Amidst the thunderous roar, he concealed his killing move against the real Sasakibe.
Just as Sasakibe was hesitating about whether he should embarrass himself by seeking Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto's help, Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto's order reached his ears.
In the end, will I still have to rely on Genryūsai's help? I really haven't made any progress over the years.
Seeing his Zanpakuto attacking him on behalf of an outsider due to his emotional turmoil, a bitter look appeared on Sasakibe's face. If it were just Genryūmaru, he was confident he could handle it, but with a fake body whose strength was no less than his own, he really had no way to deal with it.
The real Sasakibe stopped, Genryūmaru's attack continued to pursue him. A fierce glint flashed in the Fake Jirō's eyes, and a murderous lightning bolt was already hidden behind Genryūmaru's attack.
Seeing that Sasakibe neither dodged nor evaded, Genryūmaru's attacking hand trembled slightly. After all, that was his master, and he didn't want to become a mindless sword beast.
Genryūmaru's attack went astray. The lightning bolt would have grazed the body of the real Sasakibe, but only then did he realize that behind his attack was the deadly move belonging to the Fake Jirō.
Genryūmaru attempted to counterattack the Fake Jirō, but a familiar Zanpakuto had already pierced his chest—it was Genryūmaru from the Fake Jirō.
"Go to hell!"
Hearing the sinister voice behind him, Genryūmaru realized that he was merely a tool used by the enemy to attack his master, and that his master would die because of his foolishness. The disheveled True Sasakibe was no longer able to dodge the attack of the Fake Jirō.
A sudden heatwave surged forth, engulfing the Fake Jirō's thunder along with it. The raging inferno swept Genryūmaru and the Fake Jirō together. Amidst the towering flames, Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto's voice finally arrived.
"The Shinra Bansho, Ryūjin Jakka."
Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto appeared beside Sasakibe, and only then did Sasakibe relax; Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto's arrival meant he was safe.
"I'm sorry, I've let you down, Captain-Commander." Despite his disheveled state, the Sasakibe maintained their proper etiquette, kneeling on one knee as he spoke.
"Chōjirō, after this, you should train more juniors."
Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto had to admit that Sasakibe was very useful in handling team affairs. Now that Sasakibe had regained his Bankai power, he no longer expected Sasakibe to improve further. Helping Sasakibe train subordinates for the next Captain-Commander was a good choice.
"Yes, Captain-Commander." The bitter fruit of a thousand years of neglect could only be swallowed by himself. No matter how bitter it was in his heart, the Sasakibe dared not say another word.
The flames parted, revealing Genryūmaru, who had reverted to his Asauchi form, and the still intact Fake Jirō, protected by the Thunder Canopy.
Ōetsu Nimaiya was a canopy made of lightning. At the moment of Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto's attack, the Fake Jirō used this canopy to protect himself and was not burned to ashes by Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto.
"As expected of Captain-Commander Yamamoto, the power of Ryūjin Jakka is truly formidable."
The Fake Jirō offered a compliment, and because he was a clone of Sasakibe, his words came from the bottom of his heart. But the next moment, the corners of his mouth stretched into a rather arrogant grin.
" With Ryūjin Jakka being so powerful, how dare you come to the First Division, Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto!"
As soon as the Fake Jirō finished speaking, a burst of flames, completely different from the flames released by Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto, immediately surrounded them, forming a circular wall of flames that encircled them.
"Yamamoto Shigekuni, you've appeared again? Take this! Bankai, Great Fire Sword!"
A man who bore a striking resemblance to Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto, dressed in fiery red, Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto at him. His weapon resembled a fiercely burning pillar of fire, radiating terrifying high-temperature spiritual pressure.
Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto calmly sheathed his sword in front of his chest, easily deflecting the attack with a reversed flame. This was clearly not the first time Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto had done this, and the person who suddenly attacked was the materialized form of his Zanpakuto, Ryūjin Jakka.
The main reason Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto was unwilling to come to the First Division was because of Ryūjin Jakka. To spite him, Ryūjin Jakka would definitely take the initiative to oppose him the moment he appeared.
Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto doesn't have time to play with his Zanpakuto anymore.
Ryūjin Jakka is also very principled. He only causes trouble for Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto. Apart from Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto, he treats every member of the First Division well and loves Soul Society just like Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto. That's why Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto felt at ease leaving him in the First Division while he went to the World of the Living to live in seclusion.
Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto intended to only let Sasakibe infiltrate the First Division, so that even if Ryūjin Jakka found out, she wouldn't say anything. However, he didn't expect to be forced to come to the First Division himself.
"Captain-Commander Yamamoto, Chōjirō Sasakibe is no match for my and Genryūmaru's attacks. I wonder if you, Captain-Commander, are interested in the cooperation between Ryūjin Jakka and another Captain Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto?" the Fake Jirō said with a sly smile. He was just putting on an act; this was the purpose he served in the First Division.
"Tch! When did it become your place to order me around!"
Ryūjin Jakka turned around and swung his sword at the Fake Jirō. If the Fake Jirō hadn't dodged quickly, this strike would have been enough to kill him.
Ryūjin Jakka is practically a carbon copy of a young Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto —domineering, unreasonable, and the only reason he follows is the blade in his hand.
"Ryūjin Jakka! Believe me or not, I'll report to Captain-Commander Yamamoto and have him seal you away completely!" the Fake Jirō threatened, for freedom is a pursuit that no materialized Zanpakuto can refuse.
"Don't think I don't know, that imposter isn't even in the barracks. Go ahead and call him over if you dare, I'll chop him to ashes!" Ryūjin Jakka said disdainfully. He couldn't beat the real Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto, but he could surely defeat an imposter?
Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto expression had remained calm, changed slightly upon hearing Ryūjin Jakka's words. "Ryūjin Jakka, are you sure that fake me isn't in the First Division?"
"Hey? You may not trust my strength, but can't you trust the power of the Great Fire Sword? There's no temperature of that imposter within the First Division's range."
Ryūjin Jakka almost wanted to slash Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto with his sword, but he could tell from Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto's tone that Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto was talking about serious matters, so he suppressed his temper.
"Urahara Kisuke suspects that Inaba Kagerōza used the Zanka no Tachi to destroy Soul Society." Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto didn't hide anything and immediately told Ryūjin Jakka about his previous speculation.
"What a joke! How could that fake Zankatana be used by someone like that?" Zanka no Tachi Ryūjin Jakka angrily.
Even he himself couldn't unleash the Zanka no Tachi; he had to work with Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto to gather all the flames together.
Therefore, Ryūjin Jakka's most common ultimate move is nothing more than Great Fire Sword, and a super weak version of Great Fire Sword at that, to avoid damaging the environment during its use.
While Ryūjin Jakka was questioning him, his eyes were fixed on the Fake Jirō. He was speaking so loudly on purpose, and sure enough, the Fake Jirō's expression changed slightly when he heard about Zanka no Tachi.
"Make your move, you stubborn old man Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto!"
Without the slightest hesitation, Ryūjin Jakka appeared above the Fake Jirō's head and swung his sword at him. Then, Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto used the same technique, combining it with Ryūjin Jakka, to create a violent fire tornado that gradually engulfed the Fake Jirō 'Fake Jirō body.
"What scheme does Inaba Kagerōza have?" Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto asked. This fire tornado was deliberately created by him and Ryūjin Jakka to use immense pain to interrogate the Fake Jirō.
A hideous smile appeared on the Fake Jirō's face. He knew he had no way to escape. His eyes flashed wildly with electricity as he desperately unleashed his last bit of spiritual pressure.
"I await the moment when Soul Society comes to join me!"
After speaking, a red pill was spat out of the Fake Jirō's mouth, and the spiritual pressure emanating from the Fake Jirō's body quickly condensed into a strange pattern in front of him.
With a flash of light, the red pill disappeared before Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto's eyes.
With the disappearance of the Modified Soul, the Fake Jirō completely became a mindless Reigai, which Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto crushed with flames without even looking at it.
"Hey, Old Man Yama, can that imposter really wield the Zanka no Tachi?" Ryūjin Jakka he walked up to Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto. With the safety of Soul Society at stake, he wasn't in the mood to argue with Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto anymore.
"I don't know, but these clones are frantically destroying the barrier and the Kidō Corps, as well as the vanished Modified Soul. It's all Inaba Kagerōza's scheme."
Having gone through this ordeal, Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto had already prepared for the worst. He shared the information with Urahara Kisuke and Tsuna, who needed to come up with a solution as soon as possible.
