Rampage, Zanka no Tachi
A dense network of crimson threads connected the Modified Soul on the ground, all converging at a central point: the coffin located at the center of the ceremony.
The entire ceremony site was enveloped as if by a bewitching, blood-red flower, appearing strange and mysterious.
However, the fake Nemu Kurotsuchi added fuel to the fire. As the somewhat damaged Modified Soul she spat out shattered, the bloodline at the ritual site immediately became agitated.
Suddenly, nearly ten Modified Soul appeared out of thin air, each containing a large amount of spiritual pressure, and they were all connected to this ritual.
The spiritual pressure was surging, as if it were about to awaken some strange being. Seeing this, Tsuna and the others lost all patience to watch the show and launched an attack on the ritual.
Unable to determine what exactly happened during the ritual, they resorted entirely to ranged attacks.
The planet Ground Flame, the Getsuga Tensho, the Spirit Bow and Arrows, the Giant's Right Arm, and the spiritual pressure released by two Flash Cry —just as these attacks were about to disrupt the ritual, the undead man with his head bowed moved.
A Zanpakuto similar to the one used by Kurenai appeared in his hand, except that this sword had a black ring in the center similar to the Retreating Crimson Rain when she unleashed her full power.
The Zanpakuto spun rapidly, instantly converting all the attacks released by Tsuna and the others into Reishi and absorbing them into the space it created.
The Zanpakuto, Bokgetsuin, is Zanpakuto that contains the abilities of both Raiku and Retreating Crimson Rain. Its owner Yushima Ōshū, also raised his head, his pale face filled with the same frenzied expression as Inaba.
"Should I call you Yushima Ōshū or Inaba Kagerōza?" Tsuna asked. He could tell that it was Inaba's Modified Soul that was controlling Yushima Ōshū. Inaba had not yet merged with Nozomi Kujō, so Yushima Ōshū would not appear.
"Names are just code names; they don't matter to you who are about to die!"
Inaba's face was gloomy. He coughed up two mouthfuls of blood as soon as he finished speaking. Damn it, forcibly using Yushima Ōshū's body was still too much of a strain. If he could merge with Nozomi Kujō, this wouldn't be such a trivial matter.
However, there was no other way; the Bokgetsuin was essential to his plan, as only Bokgetsuin power could ensure the smooth progress of the ritual.
"Hey, you look a bit strained. Why don't you come over here and I'll treat you?" Tsuna casually chatted, not wanting Inaba to stay in the ritual any longer.
"Oh!"
After scoffing, Inaba ignored Tsuna. He didn't have much time; all the Modified Soul were now in place, and he had to take action.
Bokgetsuin spun, a familiar black space appeared, and all the Modified Soul were mobilized. The originally flat blood-red flowers gradually closed into the shape of flower buds.
"Tsuna, this is bad! That guy looks like he's up to something really troublesome!" Ichigo pointed at Inaba with Tensa Zangetsu and said, "If we don't stop him soon, he's going to succeed!"
Ichigo was a man of action, and as soon as he finished speaking, he took a step forward. But someone was faster than him. Yoruichi appeared next to Ichigo in an instant and grabbed his shoulder.
"Ichigo, now is not the time to act rashly. That sword is even more troublesome than Retreating Crimson Rain. Rushing in recklessly will only add fuel to the fire."
Yoruichi's words were precisely the reason why Tsuna allowed Inaba to do Inaba. The ability of Retreating Crimson Rain to convert all attacks into one's own spiritual pressure was already domineering enough, and with the addition of Raiko's ability to seal space, this Bokgetsuin was simply Zanpakuto.
It's a mystery how Yushima Ōshū, the owner of Bokgetsuin, managed to remain in the combat squad despite possessing such Zanpakuto.
Inaba Tsuna Tsuna not chosen to take any further action.
Although Inaba is not afraid of Tsuna and the others causing trouble, and even if someone tries to disrupt him, his spiritual pressure will only increase, it is still a good option to ensure the ritual goes smoothly.
In this strange, unspoken understanding, Inaba continued his ritual, while Tsuna and the others waited for the moment Inaba would collapse. Once Bokgetsuin was no longer in his hands, Tsuna would launch his fiercest attack.
All the Modified Soul shattered into countless points of spiritual pressure, which Inaba absorbed into the space he created. Then, with a wave of his hand, the body inside the coffin was lifted out by the spiritual pressure.
It was none other than Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto lifeless!
With just one glance, Tsuna could tell that this was a fake Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto. Inaba was, she couldn't make the real Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto look like this.
No wonder this Fake Mountain never appeared from beginning to end; it turns out that its consciousness had been erased by Inaba and it was lying in a coffin long ago.
Looking at the Fake Mountain's body and the Zanpakuto in his hand, a crazed look once again bloomed on Inaba's face.
Simply Modified Soul is not enough to unleash the full power of the original owner; Inaba knew this from the beginning.
However, Inaba's target at the time was Nozomi Kujō. He was confident that he could control Soul Society if they merged into Yushima Ōshū. But he didn't expect that the plan would fail.
Therefore, Inaba set her sights on the Fake Mountain. Although she knew the power of the Zanka no Tachi, she couldn't use it because her spiritual pressure was insufficient to Modified Soul.
If the spiritual pressure is insufficient, then force-feed it. So after returning from the World of the Living, Inaba began to frantically copy and Modified Soul, intending to self-destruct with the Soul Society. He didn't care at all whether excessive spiritual pressure would cause problems for the Fake Mountain's body.
Later, it was that morbid desire for control that affected his rationality. After sealing the power of the Fake Mountain, Inaba erased his mind. He wanted to be the pilot himself and take control of the strongest mecha in Soul Society.
His original Zanpakuto Bokgetsuin, could help him by converting all spiritual pressure into his own, and then using the power of space to seal it onto the body of the Fake Mountain. This was Inaba's plan.
The potion that the fake Nemu Kurotsuchi used at the end was also extraordinary. It allowed Inaba to maintain her rationality to the maximum extent even after she became Modified Soul. This was the core of his control over Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto.
Now, it's time for him to complete this ritual, to personally control Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto and destroy the Soul Society.
After giving the body its final instructions, a Modified Soul was spat out of Inaba's mouth; it was his own core.
Bokgetsuin was still spinning. This time, Bokgetsuin did not turn Inaba's Modified Soul into spiritual pressure, but instead sealed it directly into the previous space. Then, it pierced through the body of the Fake Mountain with a single slash.
The sealed space temporarily created by Bokgetsuin was released within the body of the Fake Mountain, along with the only intact Modified Soul.
Yushima Ōshū collapsed, and Bokgetsuin disappeared along with him. Inaba exhausted the last of her body's power, causing Yushima Ōshū to lose even the state of a living dead and die directly.
Meanwhile, Inaba herself had begun to adapt to this powerful body. Suddenly, Fake Mountain opened his eyes, no longer with an imposing gaze, but with the same arrogant disdain as Inaba.
The instant the Bokgetsuin disappeared, Tsuna immediately manipulated gravity to slam it down on the Fake Mountain. However, the Fake Mountain —no, it should now be called Inaba —vanished from its spot and reappeared in mid-air.
It was Flash Step. Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto's mastery of Flash Step allowed him to evade Tsuna's sneak attack. High above, Inaba felt the spiritual pressure about to overflow from her body, and an unprecedented sense of satisfaction appeared on her face.
It's a real shame that he's not Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto. Inaba can't possess this intoxicating power forever. The spiritual pressure built up from a large number of Modified Soul is already beginning to damage this body.
So be it. Even if it's just a fleeting moment, Inaba wants to experience the most magnificent brilliance.
"Shinra Bansho turn to ashes, Ryūjin Jakka."
Unlike Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto, Inaba's voice was more sinister, with a hint of smugness, and her internal power did not change regardless of the tone of her voice.
Flames shot into the sky, burning the entire the Maggots' Nest, and the firelight dyed half of the Seireitei sky red.
The power of Ryūjin Jakka was too great under the amplification of high spiritual pressure, Inaba simply couldn't fully control it. Of course, he didn't intend to control it either.
Seeing the towering flames, Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto and Ryūjin Jakka had rushed over, felt a chill in their hearts. They had arrived together as soon as Kurotsuchi Mayuri had determined Inaba's location.
Upon seeing the mushroom cloud and the pink cross, the two quickened their pace, but they were still a step too late.
Looking at the raging fire below, Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto nodded to Ryūjin Jakka, and with a wave of his hand, a gap immediately appeared in the flames.
Tsuna was protecting everyone with the power of the Glacier Flame when he saw a gap appear in the flames and the imposing, sullen face above him. He immediately urged everyone to escape the inferno of the Maggots' Nest.
"Sawada Tsunayoshi, what's the situation here?" Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto asked, staring at the towering pillar of fire in mid-air. He sensed that the person wielding the power was inside—was it another version of himself?
"Inaba Kagerōza has possessed your clone and infused it with a large amount of spiritual pressure condensed from Modified Soul. Your clone should have no shortage of spiritual pressure now," Tsuna said.
"You couldn't stop him?" Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto somewhat dissatisfied. Logically speaking, Tsuna should have been able to deal with Inaba, so how did he let Inaba complete his scheme?
"He used Zanpakuto with the same abilities as Retreating Crimson Rain. His attack only increased his spiritual pressure, so we could only watch helplessly," Tsuna said helplessly. No matter what, Bokgetsuin's Zanpakuto was still a bit too overpowered.
Just as Tsuna and Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto were talking, Ryūjin Jakka suddenly shouted, "Old Man Yama, something's wrong!"
Ryūjin Jakka finished speaking, a sinister voice rang out from within the pillar of fire, "Bankai!"
All the flames began to surge toward the direction from which the sound came, just as Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto had done with the Zanka no Tachi, and these flames were all sealed within the Zanpakuto.
As the flames flowed, Inaba, sporting Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto's ecstatic expression, appeared before everyone, already eager to unleash this power.
The flames were completely contained within his Zanpakuto, which glowed Zanpakuto in Inaba's hand. He roared, "Zanka no Tachi!"
Boom!!!
Even more intense flames erupted from the "Zanka no Tachi," far more turbulent than the previous Ryūjin Jakka, capable of completely engulfing a person with just a touch.
"That's a load of Zanka no Tachi!" Ryūjin Jakka couldn't hold back any longer. No one in the world knew more about the Zanka no Tachi than him. His face was extremely grim. "Old Man Yama, that guy... he's gone berserk!"
