Branches of the Quincy
Whether magic and Kido are the same power still needs further verification. The main goal now is to teach the Sawada couple how to use the Fullbring.
At home, Tsuna had already guided his parents to find items imbued with Fullbring power. The couple chose their wedding rings as the most portable option, ensuring they would never fall off.
It happened to be the weekend, so Sawada Iemitsu didn't have to go to the company. The next morning, Tsuna the whole family, including Noelle, to Xcution's coffee shop. This gave Tsuna a chance to observe the power of magic in detail.
"Little Tsuna, is this your friend's place?" Nana looked around the coffee shop curiously; it was the first time she had seen Tsuna's friends other than his classmates.
"That's right, everyone here is Fullbringer. Mom and Dad, starting today, you will both come here to train every day until you master your abilities," Tsuna said seriously.
The Sawada couple haven't been back for very long. With Tsuna's involvement, a month should be enough time for them to master the Fullbring.
After briefly greeting Shukuro Tsukishima and Tatsuzawa Kiriko, Tsuna led everyone into the coffee shop's basement, a specially designed underground space by Urahara Shop.
"Yo, Tsuna, you're here early." Jackie was already waiting underground, with a burly man standing next to him.
"Chad's here too?" Tatsuki asked curiously, leaning close to Tsuna's ear.
"I invited Chad here. I'm going to have him spar with Shinbashi-kun and test the power of magic." Tsuna reminded Tatsuki, "Don't forget what Chad's Fullbring is."
When Tsuna said that, Tatsuki understood what he meant. Tsuna had guessed Chad's ability before. Chad's Fullbring was carried by his skin. Chad could project the abilities he had fought against onto his skin, forming a power unique to him.
The Giant's Right Arm represents Chad's Fullbring, Devil's Left Arm represents the power of Hollows.
After having this conjecture, Chad put himself in the position of a sparring partner, hoping that one day he could reflect the power of the Bleach and the Quincy.
"Didn't it fail?" Tatsuki muttered.
How do you know it didn't work?
Tsuna smiled slightly. Just because it hadn't been used in a formal setting didn't mean the previous experiment was a failure; otherwise, Tsuna wouldn't have Chad to try his luck.
After briefly introducing Chad and Jackie to my family, the Fullbring tutorial officially began.
Using his Mist-attribute Tsuna, Shikai conjured several World of the Living, and said to his parents, "Mom and Dad, your task is to defeat those Hollows using any method you can think of."
"Don't worry about safety. Jackie and Tatsuki will be with you as sparring partners, so you can do it with peace of mind."
In fact, the presence of Jackie and Tatsuki was completely unnecessary at this stage. The Illusion were all created by Tsuna's magic and could not harm Iemitsu and Nana at all.
However, in order for the two to train in peace, Tsuna arranged for two sparring partners to be by their side.
Upon seeing the Hollow appear, Nana's Mom's face paled slightly. It turned out that Tsuna had been fighting this kind of monster all along. The next moment, her eyes hardened. She could not let her husband and son down.
Iemitsu didn't show much change in expression. Although these phantoms looked more terrifying than Western dragons, they weren't unacceptable.
Iemitsu and Nana each probed their spiritual pressure into the ring, hoping to draw their power out of it as Tsuna had instructed. At that moment, the Zanpakuto charged toward them.
Without watching his parents' training session again, Tsuna handed over all their training to Tatsuki and led Noelle and Chad to an open space on the other side.
"Shinbashi-kun, could you demonstrate your magical powers for us?" Tsuna asked.
"If I say no, will I never get out of here?" Noelle asked expressionlessly.
"Of course not. Just because you've saved my father several times, I have to guarantee your safety in Japan."
"I want to learn the Fullbring you mentioned," Noelle stated her condition.
"I haven't been avoiding teaching you since yesterday, have I? I presume you've already tried the Fullbring training method, right?" Tsuna asked directly.
Noelle fell silent. Just as Tsuna said, after returning to her room, she tried various things to find an object to which she could entrust her emotions, but no matter what she tried, she failed.
"This shows that you haven't even reached the requirements to Fullbring," Tsuna continued. "Or rather, your spiritual pressure is completely at the level of an ordinary person, far below the level of Dragon Rider you mentioned."
From the moment he saw Noelle, Tsuna realized that her spiritual pressure was not unusual; the strange thing about her actually came from her broom-like Hollow body.
"Let's change the terms. You demonstrate the power of magic, and I'll teach you a skill depending on your abilities."
Only Tsuna has the right to say such things. Having mastered four powers, he can completely develop an ability specifically for Noelle based on her own situation.
Noelle stared at Tsuna for a while. "Okay, I agree. But before that, I need to send a message."
Noelle took out her phone, and a window popped up with the Nini." She first sent the other person her location information, and then added a text message saying that she was here.
This was the only thing Noelle could do. Staying by the Sawada couple's side was her duty, but now she was surrounded by unfamiliar superhumans. Considering her safety, this was her last struggle.
Putting her phone away, Noelle removed her weapon, which resembled both a gun and a horn, from her ample thighs. In reality, it was a flute, as Noelle belonged to the Flute Squad.
"Come on, I'm ready."
Tsuna nodded to Chad, Chad then consciously kept his distance, allowing Noelle to cast her magic.
"Just unleash all your magic on Chad, good luck, attack with all your might," Tsuna said, pointing at Chad.
"But?" Noelle hesitated. Her past opponents were all dragons; this was the first time she would actually have to use magic to attack a human.
"Don't worry, you can't hurt Chad." Seeing that Noelle's condition hadn't improved, Tsuna called out to Chad, "Chad, show your new friend your defensive abilities."
"Clear."
Chad was wearing a red vest with a cross pattern today. After he spoke to Chad, a cross pattern lit up on his chest, followed by a flash of silver light. Soon after, Chad's body was covered in a set of plate armor in the shape of a cross.
This wasn't the end, but the blue light, centered on the intersection of the crosses, spread outwards in all directions across the plate armor, instantly turning a complete and beautiful piece of plate armor into a shattered mess.
"You can attack freely, my defense can withstand the captain's full-force attack." Chad explained to Noelle. Although the captains' strength varied, Chad's standard of measurement was the Black Rope Heavenly Punisher.
"Captain?" Noelle looked at Tsunayoshi with a puzzled Tsuna.
"You have a management structure there too, right? You can think of it as Chad being able to defend against attacks from the highest level of management," Tsuna explained.
Noelle briefly assessed her magic and said with relief, "Then I can indeed let things take their course."
Chad currently uses a power called Knight's Armor, and its abilities are quite simple: it's the Quincy's Blut Vene and Blut Vene.
Although the ability is simple, it is very suitable for Chad. The Blut Vene gives Chad strong defense, allowing him to approach enemies more easily. The Blut Vene, which spreads to his arms, is even more terrifying, giving his arms a terrifying power boost.
Chad is now showcasing the power of his Blut Vene, which, combined with his Knight's Armor, forms a perfect turtle shell.
Noelle began chanting a magical incantation, completely oblivious to the constant stream of messages on her phone as she entered battle mode.
Why did you go there?
[You also discovered traces of the dragon?]
Wait for me, I'm coming right away!
[Reply to the message, Noelle!]
[Damn it, you didn't fight a dragon, did you?]
[Wait for me!]
"Tsk tsk, this so-called magic only superficially resembles the Kido; in reality, it has absolutely nothing to do with it."
A slightly frivolous voice rang out, and a man with a folding fan and felt hat stood next to Tsuna. Urahara Kisuke had slipped out at some point.
"Hey, what wind could possibly blow someone as busy as you into action?" Tsuna asked.
"Isn't this the magical power system you mentioned? This is a rare opportunity, it would be a shame not to see it for myself." Urahara Kisuke stared intently at the magic Noelle cast on Chad.
"So, store manager, what brilliant ideas do you have?"
"Hmm, this is less like Kido and more like the fighting style of Quincy. Unlike Quincy manipulate Reishi to form arrows, this witch uses a magic wand to control Reishi and unleash different spells." Urahara Kisuke's eyes were sharp enough to notice the characteristics of magic immediately.
The magic wand that Urahara Kisuke mentioned is the weapon Noelle is holding. Without that flute, Noelle simply cannot unleash those strange spells.
This explains why Tsuna didn't notice anything unusual when he first saw Noelle. It's because Noelle's abilities aren't driven by spiritual pressure, but rather by controlling Reishi particles. Noelle's spiritual pressure isn't significantly different from that of ordinary people.
"So, witches and Quincy share the same ancestor?" Tsuna asked.
"It's very possible that the King of the Quincy invaded Soul Society a thousand years ago, but where could the Quincy have trained such an elite force back then?" Urahara pointed at Noelle's back with his folding fan. "I've suspected before that the Quincy from a thousand years ago might have come from the western part of Soul Society, that is, the West Bureau!"
"West Bureau?" Tsuna frowned slightly; the name sounded so familiar.
Urahara noticed Tsuna's question and answered directly, "The Seireitei also has another name, the East Bureau, and the West Bureau is the organization currently under the control of the witches, right?"
"Both names are hidden deep within the Great Spirit Library Corridor, and have not been mentioned for so many years that almost no one knows them. I only remembered these names after I specifically went in and searched again before coming here."
Now that the family that manages the Great Spirit Library Corridor has been removed, the Great Spirit Library Corridor is no different from Urahara's backyard; you can come and go as you please.
"Therefore, I suspect that the power of this magic and the Spirit Bow and Arrows are of the same origin, and that those who were willing to invade Seireitei a thousand years ago formed a legion to invade the East Bureau."
"The West Bureau, having lost the King of the Quincy, spent a thousand years shaking off the effects of the King's departure. Utilizing this ability to control Reishi, they forged a different path—that is, magic!"
A glint of light flashed in Urahara Kisuke's eyes. If he hadn't been preoccupied with Aizen and the Wandenreich, he would have already been looking forward to visiting the West Bureau. The unknown power that brought hope was an endless treasure for a curious researcher.
