Expedition to Hueco Mundo
Tsuna didn't bother arguing with Nel and simply told her about their impending attack on Las Noches. Nel went or not wouldn't affect the Seireitei's decisions; at worst, Gin Ichimaru could temporarily take charge.
Upon hearing that she had the opportunity to change Hueco Mundo, Nel accepted Tsuna's invitation without hesitation.
"Please wait a moment, I need to contact Aikawa Love and have him take over my work." Before Nel could finish speaking, she vanished like a gust of wind, leaving Tsuna standing there.
Not long after, Nel and Aikawa Love returned. Nel, filled with her treasured knowledge, which she would need to constantly review and learn new things for practice in Hueco Mundo.
Let's go.
Tsuna brought Nel to the agreed-upon Sōkyoku Square, where Vice-Captain participating in this expedition had already gathered.
Squad 2 Ōmaeda, 3rd Division Yoshika Izuru, 4th Division Kotetsu Isane, Fourth Division Hiyori, 5th Division 6th Division Renji Abarai, Seventh Division Iba, 9th Division Rangiku, 10th Division Shiba, Squad 11 Ikkaku and Yumichika, 13th Division Shūhei Hisagi Rukia.
The 8th Division did not participate because their captain had not taken office and Nanao did not know how to Bankai. Nemu Kurotsuchi the Squad 12 was helping Kurotsuchi Mayuri and also did not have time.
In addition to the above-mentioned personnel, there were also those dressed in plain, everyday clothes, following closely behind Rangiku.
"Everyone, you must already know the purpose of this operation: to reclaim Las Noches, Sosuke Aizen promised me, and to bring Hueco Mundo under our control."
"Your main enemies this time are the Arrancar left behind by Aizen, among whom the relatively strong ones are the remaining Espada."
"The 10th Espada: Stark, the Espada: Barragan, the Third Espada: Halibel, the Fourth Espada: Ulquiorra, the Sixtieth Espada Grimmjow, the Espada: Sora Inoue, and the Tenth Espada: Yammy."
"Sora Inoue is one of our own, so you don't need to deal with him. As for the rest of the Espada, including their subordinate Arrancar, those who do not submit should be eliminated, and those who submit and are willing to surrender should be defeated."
"I know that most of you have only recently learned Bankai, so asking you to take on one Espada alone is asking too much of you."
"But this is war, not a duel. There has never been a rule of one-on-one combat! You all know all the intelligence on the Espada. You can formulate your own battle strategies. I only want one result: ownership of Las Noches."
"Among you, Gin Ichimaru will be your ally. As for Nel, she will not participate in this battle; she will only take over the management of Las Noches at the end."
Although Nel herself agrees that some of Hueco Mundo's chronic problems need to be eliminated before Hueco Mundo can be reborn.
However, considering Nel's kindness, Tsuna did not force her to eliminate her own kind as a pledge of loyalty, but instead chose to trust her directly.
"Do you have any opinions?" Tsuna asked.
The Vice-Captain exchanged glances. From the moment they received the mission, they had already prepared themselves mentally. The purpose of this operation was also clear: to take Hueco Mundo and train their Bankai.
"Um, I'd like to say a few words," Nel her hand and said, "I know everyone's perception of Hollows is that they are brutal and cruel, but please believe me, there are also peace-loving beings among the Hollows. If your opponents are willing to work together to build a better home, I hope you will spare them in battle."
As she spoke, Nel bowed deeply to the Vice-Captain.
"Don't worry, Nel, your performance has genuinely affected us. As long as you don't put up a stubborn resistance, we'll go easy on you," Renji said.
Thank you very much.
"Then let's quickly start discussing countermeasures." As the strongest among the Vice-Captain, Renji had already subtly taken control of the team.
While the Vice-Captain were having a small meeting, Gin Ichimaru Tsuna.
"Aren't you going to listen? You're also in the combat ranks," Tsuna asked.
"No need, Rangiku will handle everything." Gin Ichimaru still had that smiling face. The difference in status didn't affect him in the slightest. On the contrary, he quite liked this kind of life, being able to meet Rangiku openly.
"If Rangiku were from some powerful family, I'd suspect you were planning to marry into their family."
"If she were a noblewoman, we wouldn't have known each other." Gin Ichimaru and Rangiku were both from Rukongai. They met because Gin Ichimaru gave Rangiku, who was starving, food.
"Anyway, thank you." Gin Ichimaru's tone was completely indifferent.
"Don't be like a warmed snake, just bite me once." Tsuna casually remarked. What's unsettling about Gin Ichimaru is his perpetually smiling face in front of others.
Gin Ichimaru clearly knew this little story. He looked at Rangiku and said, "Even if I am a snake, you now possess the most powerful weapon to tame me."
Because they had intelligence, the Vice-Captain didn't discuss it for long. Rangiku, acting like a big sister, walked towards Tsuna and said, "Tsuna, we're ready. We can go now."
Tsuna then activated the device prepared by Urahara Kisuke, and the Garganta leading to Hueco Mundo opened in front of him. He then took the lead and plunged inside.
The place where Hueco Mundo and the others emerged from Tsuna was still a desolate wasteland, with the moon hanging lonely in the night sky. People without survival experience would have no way of finding their way in this place.
"Lead the way," Tsuna said to Gin Ichimaru. As they hurried along, Tsuna pressed a signal button on a device.
In Las Noches, Sora Inoue stood in the center of what was once Aizen's palace, looking utterly troubled. On Aizen's throne sat the old man, a scarred man with a muscular build.
That person was none other than Barragan. After Aizen had not returned for several days, Barragan and his subordinates had set their sights on the throne of King of Hueco Mundo, and were now arrogantly issuing orders to a group of low-ranking Arrancar.
Sora Inoue didn't want to get involved in such a mess, just like none of the Espada and their subordinates were present.
However, due to his kind-hearted nature in life and the requests of a group of Arrancar, Sora Inoue only came to see Barragan's arrogant behavior.
A red beep appeared in Sora Inoue's pocket. He pulled out his communication device and his face lit up with joy.
"Hey! Sora Inoue, what do you mean by this? Barragan is giving a speech!" Barragan could even speak, his underlings had already jumped out impatiently.
Sora Inoue glanced at the other party indifferently, and a burst of spiritual pressure exploded out, instantly sending the speaking underling flying against the wall. "Since when did you become the one who has the right to yell at me?"
Sora Inoue's perpetually kind and patient face suddenly changed, catching Barragan. When did Sora Inoue dare to be so assertive?
Because it was his own face that was being lost, Barragan had to step forward. "Sora Inoue, you don't accept being the King of Hueco Mundo, do you!"
"Among the Espada, no one respects you, this so-called King of Hueco Mundo, right?" Sora Inoue said disdainfully.
"The Espada? Dust of history! When did my strength become something that can be measured by numbers!" Barragan unleashed his greatest spiritual pressure before his Resurrección, instantly silencing everyone present.
"Yes, so what makes you think that I, number 7, am worse than you, number 2?"
Sora Inoue also unleashed a spiritual pressure no less than that of Barragan. As an undercover agent planted by Urahara, how could Urahara not provide Sora Inoue with some good stuff?
In terms of pure strength, Sora Inoue is in no way inferior to the first four Espada. The reason he is numbered seventh is simply because he was an undercover agent and didn't want to be too conspicuous.
Sora Inoue's spiritual pressure caught Barragan guard; he had originally thought that only Stark and Halibel would be troublesome in Las Noches.
However, Stark, that lazybones, had no interest in being the King of Hueco Mundo, and Halibel was just a woman pushed up by her subordinates, who was of no use whatsoever. That's why Barragan began to covet the position of King of Hueco Mundo.
Now, Sora Inoue has emerged again, whose popularity far surpasses his own, which immediately made Sora Inoue wary.
"Don't look at me like that, I have absolutely no interest in your King of Glory game."
As he spoke, Sora Inoue turned to leave. He had just received news that Tsuna was launching a full-scale attack on Las Noches, which meant he no longer needed to remain an undercover agent in Hueco Mundo.
What else is there to say? Sora Inoue wasn't going to give face to anyone, and simply turned and left. What kind of King of Hueco Mundo was he? Was going back to be with Orihime more appealing?
Scanning the pitiful faces of the Arrancar, Sora Inoue finally couldn't bear it. His days in Las Noches were not a lie, and the awe these Arrancar him was real.
"Let me give you all one last piece of advice: you no longer have anyone to risk your lives for. In life-or-death situations, please prioritize your own lives. Farewell, everyone." Sora Inoue Sonido from the palace; he needed to go Las Noches to meet Tsuna and his group.
Barragan was trembling with anger. What did Sora Inoue mean by those words before he left? What did he mean by having no one to risk one's life for? Barragan, the King of Hueco Mundo, really just a figurehead?
The various palaces of Las Noches.
"Hey, Stark, how long are you going to lie here? It's so boring!" Lilynette complained.
"Wait, wait for our comrades to return." Stark, who considered Aizen comrade, refused to believe the rumors Barragan was spreading.
"Huh? Is that Sora Inoue's spiritual pressure? He's fighting with Barragan?" Lilynette's face immediately lit up with interest. A fight meant there was something to watch. "Stark, shall we go take a look?"
"I'm not going." Stark refused outright, but Sora Inoue's back appeared in his eyes. He knew very well that no matter how warm this man was, he had never regarded them as companions.
"Halibel, Sora Inoue and Barragan gotten into a conflict?" asked Halibel's subordinate.
"Should we go help?" another person asked. Psychologically, they were more supportive of Sora Inoue; at least if Sora Inoue took power, they wouldn't be at his beck and call.
"No, they won't fight," Halibel said, having already sensed that Sora Inoue's spiritual pressure had left Las Noches.
In the outermost palace of Las Noches, Ulquiorra and Yammy sat side by side. Sora Inoue's spiritual pressure only made them glance at him slightly, without affecting Ulquiorra's state of mind.
Since Aizen's passing, Ulquiorra has been at a loss, unsure of where to fill the emptiness in his heart.
"Boring!" On the top floor of the pillared palace in Las Noches, Grimmjow was lying down looking at the moon. Regarding the conflict with Sora Inoue, he simply commented with two words.
The crumbling Las Noches offered Grimmjow no warmth; the only reason he hadn't left was because he didn't know where to go.
