The East Bureau's Official Visit
Kyōraku, holding a document stamped with the Seireitei, opened the tea room door. "Hehe, Little Nanao has even prepared the visit documents."
It was Nanao who cared most about Kyōraku. While Kyōraku was busy and overwhelmed, she had already quietly completed the work ahead of schedule. In addition to issuing the formal document for the visit to the West Bureau, she also prepared an extra document.
That was an offer to let Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto Seireitei. If a major war Seireitei, Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto would resume his position Captain-Commander.
"Let's set off, everyone, to the West, to London!"
Before setting off, Tsuna and his group returned to Urahara Shop in the World of the Living. After a chaotic scene, Yoruichi finally accepted the fact that she had to take over the job. There was no other way; the number of strong individuals in the World of the Living was dwindling, so she had to fill the gap.
The moment the black wormhole opened and they arrived in London, everyone except Tsuna frowned. With their eyesight, they could easily see how dilapidated this seemingly intact London was.
"Only by witnessing it firsthand can one truly understand the brutality of the battle that took place here." Now Captain-Commander, Kyōraku must consider the bigger picture. "Tsuna, how many people died in London this time?"
"I don't know the exact figures, but I heard from them that it's at least a third."
The specific figures are not so easy to quantify, and this is already based on the premise that the infrastructure developed by the West Bureau is very well-developed.
The lack of specific figures only made Kyōraku and the other two more worried.
"Is this the destructive power of the Quincy?" Unohana Retsu asked.
Her voice lacked its usual strength; her earlier boasts about the Seireitei's sufficient healing power suddenly sounded hollow. Could the Fourth Division really save so many people?
"Strictly speaking, the Quincy didn't cause any trouble; it was the Gillian they released that caused it," Tsuna explained as he led the group through the street.
"Kisuke, I've discovered we still have a big problem to solve," Kyōraku suddenly said to Urahara Kisuke.
"Yes, that's what I was thinking too. When we get back, we need to work with the Squad 12 to design an emergency defense mechanism for the entire Three Worlds," Urahara Kisuke said. "With such a large number of Reishi suddenly entering the cycle of reincarnation in the Three Worlds, there's bound to be some trouble."
"That's right. The Quincy a finger. We must consider the possibility that they might destroy the world at all costs."
While Kyōraku and the others were still discussing, Bruno had already landed on Hirenkyaku. After Tsuna's cell phone signal returned to London, he received the news and, as one of the few free people in London, immediately rushed over to Tsuna's side.
"Sawada-sensei!" Bruno had barely finished greeting them when he saw the white haori worn by Kyōraku and Unohana Retsu, and immediately gasped, "Are these two captains again?"
Without Tsuna, Kyōraku took out his documents and stepped forward to greet them, "Hello, I am from Seireitei. Oh, this is the Captain-Commander of the Gotei 13 of the East Bureau. Next to me are Captain Unohana Retsu and Urahara Kisuke. These are my documents..."
Bruno took the document. He couldn't recognize the Seireitei seal, but he could understand what was written on it. Compared to Hirako and the other two stowaways, Kyōraku and his group were on an official visit.
In reality, Hirako and the other two came to the West to support Tsuna and the others. If they hadn't happened to witness the attack on the West Bureau by the Sternritter, they might have hidden in some corner and chosen not to show themselves, so it wouldn't have been a formal visit.
"Isn't this the Captain-Commander of the East Bureau, just like Captain Wolfgang?" Bruno asked, leaning closer to Tsuna.
"You can understand it roughly like that," Tsuna nodded.
Strictly speaking, the East Bureau is of a higher rank than the West Bureau, because in addition to protecting the Seireitei, the Gotei 13 also has a very important responsibility to protect the Soul King Palace.
"Alright then, everyone, please follow me. I'll inform Captain Wolfgang right away!" Bruno respectfully returned the documents and led the group toward the makeshift passage leading to Reverse London.
Boarding a small train resembling a mine shaft in this temporary tunnel, the group quickly arrived in Reverse London.
"That's interesting. They've used a tunnel instead of Dangai, directly avoiding the risk of Kotsutotsu by the Soul Society. They've even added Reishi conversion device, so even humans can come to the Soul Society normally." Just from taking a ride, Urahara Kisuke had already figured out a lot of things.
"There's no other way. There are just too many people traveling to and from Reverse London right now, so we have to put them on the little train. Those phone booths have been taken out of service," Bruno explained.
Upon arriving in Reverse London, the strikingly different architectural style broadened the horizons of Kyōraku and his companions. Before they could even settle in, several captains from the West Bureau flew over on a dragon.
"Is this the world where we coexist with the void?" Urahara Kisuke kept looking around. Compared to seeing the pictures that Hirako and the others sent back, seeing it with his own eyes was much more informative.
"Sawada-sensei! This must be the Captain-Commander of the East Bureau, right?" Wolfgang greeted Tsuna first, and then spoke to Kyōraku.
Behind Wolfgang followed Sullivan, Roy, and Little Billy. This was the largest ceremonial force the West Bureau could muster; the other captains were all fighting to rebuild London.
After some polite greetings, Wolfgang formally accepted Kyōraku's visiting documents and led everyone to the highest conference room at WB headquarters, where Hirako and the other two were already waiting.
Upon seeing Kyōraku and the others arrive, Hirako and the other two smiled to varying degrees. With their family backing them up, and Kyōraku's personal presence, they no longer needed to make many of the decisions.
"Captain-Commander Kyōraku, is there anything you can do to offer guidance on this occasion?" Wolfgang asked.
"We wouldn't presume to offer guidance. We're here to collaborate with the West Bureau, specifically regarding the railway connection project that Tsuna mentioned to you before, and also to learn about your emergency preparedness mechanisms."
"I saw it on the way here; without the appropriate disaster response technology, even more people could have died in London this time."
Hearing Kyōraku's words, Wolfgang nodded in agreement. "Sawada-sensei deserves a lot of credit for all of this. Since you've asked, I'll have the Development Squad share the relevant technology with you..."
Just as the Development Squad was mentioned, the round table at the meeting was suddenly lit up. Wolfgang was inevitably displeased, hoping it was something important and that the people at the East Bureau wouldn't laugh at him.
"Captain Wolfgang, something terrible has happened! The captain is in critical condition!" The speaker was the Development Squad's assistant.
Has Miliu gone there yet?
"It seems there's nothing the Holy Light of the Holy Affairs Team can do..." the Development Squad assistant said. Wolfgang had already done everything he could think of.
"Um, how about we give it a try?" Kyōraku suddenly raised his hand and asked, "We have quite a few medical personnel here too."
"Really? Then I'll leave it to you!" Wolfgang didn't hesitate. He already owed enough, so one more wouldn't make a difference. Sacareen was very important, as it was related to the normal operation of the entire London.
"The Development Squad leader, I remember he was poisoned by Askin. If nothing unexpected happens, the Deathdealing of some substance in his body has been altered," Tsuna shared. "I thought he could handle it himself, but it seems he failed."
"Sawada-sensei, do you have a solution?" Wolfgang asked hopefully.
"I have a way to deal with myself if I get hit, but these two are better at saving people." Tsuna pointed to Unohana Retsu and Urahara Kisuke, who happened to be there.
"There's no time to lose, please come with me!"
The path to the Development Squad is quite peculiar; it's located right in the conference room. A circular passageway opens in the center of the conference table, leading directly to the Development Squad's laboratory via a slide.
Led by Wolfgang, the group went to the Development Squad's laboratory and saw Sacareen soaking in nutrient solution, with Miliu looking worried beside him.
Without wasting a moment, Sacareen's nutrient tank was drained, revealing her completely to Unohana Retsu and Urahara Kisuke.
"His blood is normal, but the Deathdealing of a certain hormone in his body has been lowered. When the body secretes more than that limit, he will be close to death." Urahara quickly came to this conclusion.
"Is there any way?" Wolfgang asked hastily.
"Two options: one is a blood transfusion, gradually increasing the captain's tolerance to the Deathdealing doses of the element; the other is modification, where I directly modify his body to make him fully adapt to the presence of that hormone." For a matter that the West Bureau couldn't handle, Urahara Kisuke offered two solutions.
"Wouldn't blood transfusion and adaptation take a bit too long?" Miliu asked, subconsciously ignoring the second option; the word "modification" sounded very unsafe.
Wolfgang and Miliu shared the same thought, "If a blood transfusion is used, how long will the treatment cycle take?"
"A cycle?" Urahara Kisuke stroked his chin, somewhat puzzled. Did this plan really need a cycle? "Captain Unohana, you explain it to me."
"Strictly speaking, about ten minutes..." Unohana Retsu gave a very serious answer, ten minutes was already giving herself plenty of leeway.
"Ten... minutes?" Wolfgang was dumbfounded. No wonder Urahara Kisuke looked so confused; this hardly counted as a cycle.
"Please, Captain Unohana, take action!" Wolfgang finally understood that the first plan was to be implemented by Unohana Retsu.
Urahara Kisuke was happy to have some free time, so he wandered around the Development Squad, looking at everything. He found the Western equipment interesting, completely different from the Eastern equipment.
Urahara Kisuke acted as if he were no outsider, yet the Development Squad couldn't get angry. Their captain's life was in Urahara's hands, so they could only endure it. They answered every question Urahara Kisuke without reservation.
"Alright." Unohana Retsu replied earnestly to Wolfgang's request. She drew her Zanpakuto, ran her hand along the blade, and said, "Bankai, Everything's Gone!"
An endless killing intent, carrying a bloody aura, exploded instantly. The gentle woman transformed into a cold-blooded executioner in an instant. The entire Development Squad froze for a second; the aura released by Unohana Retsu was still too terrifying for these tech geeks.
This was only possible because Tsuna had anticipated it and stepped in front of the Development Squad staff; otherwise, Unohana Retsu's killing intent alone would have been enough to knock them to the ground.
The captains of the West Bureau, who were closest to the area, were not so lucky. They were completely overwhelmed by Unohana Retsu's aura, and for a moment, Wolfgang even saw his own death line.
"Captain Unohana Retsu..."
Wolfgang was about to ask Unohana Retsu if she had gone too far, but he was speechless the next moment because he saw Unohana Retsu stab Sacareen through the heart.
Under Unohana Retsu's spiritual pressure, countless streams of blood entered the heart, the blood engine, and rapidly replaced the blood of Sacareen.
Seeing the surging blood, Wolfgang finally understood why he was able to increase Sacareen's tolerance to the Deathdealing doses of hormones within ten minutes.
(P. S.: Just a quick transition; a new chapter begins tomorrow.)
