The Thief in the Antique Room
At the Shino Academy, Bazz-B was checking each room in the academy to make sure no foolish student or teacher missed the massive evacuation of millions.
When Bazz-B first arrived at the academy, he thought that such a stupid person couldn't possibly exist—a guy who would still be fast asleep in some unknown corner after the announcements had been repeated countless times.
Later, he realized he had been naive; there really were people who could hide in a corner all day long, not just students, but also a few clumsy teachers.
Some of them were trying to avoid training, some simply didn't want to go to work, and some simply got completely drunk and didn't even know where they were.
Fortunately, such a silly incident didn't seem to happen today, and Bazz-B, who had already patrolled half of the college, breathed a slight sigh of relief.
To be honest, after spending a few years at the academy, Bazz-B had grown to love the place. His initial motivation of learning from Dean Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto had transformed into a genuine desire to dedicate himself to the teaching profession.
He quite enjoyed mingling with those carefree, clueless students. Perhaps to make up for his own missing childhood, Bazz-B often appeared in front of the students as a friendly and approachable older brother.
As time went by, Bazz-B's positive attitude finally won Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto's approval, who removed all surveillance from him, granted him the rights of a normal teacher, and opened everything within the academy to him.
Nevertheless, Bazz-B did not do anything that would easily provoke Seireitei, and apart from learning about the entire structure of the Institute, his behavior was no different from before.
Now, in the face of a major crisis, at this critical moment when all teachers and students should evacuate, Bazz-B volunteered to stay behind to investigate the situation, simply because he had caught several silly guys who were hiding and didn't want to attend class.
After searching the teaching buildings and dormitories, Bazz-B nodded in satisfaction. Although these students were usually unreliable, they were quite dependable in this crucial moment; none of them were bored enough to hide in the toilet and smoke.
Bazz-B walked across the college square, he suddenly glanced toward the depths of the college, where the college's warehouse was located, mainly storing everyday teaching materials.
Like the teacher who chatted with Kyōraku earlier, the Asauchi he was holding was moved from there, Bazz-B naturally knew this as well.
Surely no one could possibly hide under the noses of so many teachers, right? Surely not?
For some reason, Bazz-B's feet took a turn and headed towards the warehouse. Since there was nothing else to do, he figured he might as well do his job.
Pushing open the somewhat dilapidated warehouse door, a cloud of smoke drifted out, and Bazz-B casually flicked a spark between his fingertips, lighting up the warehouse lights.
The warehouse was both messy and tidy. All the teaching aids were there and neatly arranged, but the shelves that were meant for displaying Asauchi were scattered all over the floor.
This was all done by the teachers who fled. In the emergency, they could only quickly grab all the Asauchi to avoid missing the evacuation time.
Bazz-B's footsteps echoed through the warehouse, his the Heat gaze sweeping over every corner. There seemed to be nothing unusual, and no one was hiding there.
Just as Bazz-B was about to turn and leave, he noticed that one of the doors in the warehouse was not closed tightly and was left a crack.
That's strange, because this door leads to a large Antique Room filled with all sorts of old things, which can be described as historical relics of Seireitei.
Kyōraku once had the idea of taking all the old artifacts out of the store and turning them into a museum in the Soul Society to commemorate them, but he never had the time to do so.
Who would have left the Antique Room door open at this time?
Bazz-B didn't think it would be one of the teachers who came to move Asauchi. With so many people supervising each other and time being so tight, who would have the time to open that antique door?
Furthermore, the door is located in the center of the back of the warehouse, making it very conspicuous. If it had been opened, the teachers would have known, and they certainly wouldn't have allowed it to be left open.
In other words, the door might not have been opened before those teachers left?
Bazz-B narrowed his eyes, made a gun shape with one hand, and slowed his pace as he walked towards the door of the Antique Room.
Hopefully, he's mistaken. Who in the academy would come and take antiques during an evacuation?
In addition, the academy usually uses these things to reinforce students' education on cherishing Soul Society. Students and teachers are already tired of seeing them. If the things inside were gone, they would have been gone long ago. How could anyone possibly come running over in such a critical moment?
Bazz-B gently pushed open the door, and just as he had guessed, it wasn't locked at all. How unprofessional! What kind of petty thief would leave the door unlocked?
Bazz-B didn't care about anything else; at this point, he should have apprehended him as soon as possible. He had been inside the Antique Room before, so he was quite familiar with its layout.
The light of the Reishi gathered on the soles of his feet, and Bazz-B charged into the Antique Room with a Hirenkyaku. At the same time, he activated the Burning Finger, and a fireball radiating the Heat light like the sun appeared in the center of the Antique Room.
The dazzling light illuminated every corner of the Antique Room, leaving no room for any strange or evil spirits to hide.
If nothing goes wrong, this move, "Burning Finger - Sun," won't cause any major harm. But if some petty thief appears, his other hand, shaped like a pistol, is already ready to pierce through the opponent with a single shot.
Bazz-B's figure appeared in the center of the Antique Room along with the fireball of the sun. To his surprise, there really were thieves who dared to break into this place to steal.
Pink twin tails?
Bazz-B only saw a back view, but he immediately judged that this was not a student from their college. Given Bazz-B's popularity, he knew everyone in the college except for the person in front of him.
Bazz-B had no idea when a pink-haired, twin-tailed student had arrived at the Shino Academy. His Burning Finger was already pointed at the other person, but just as he was about to pull the trigger, he froze on the spot.
Because Bazz-B saw the symbolic attire of the Captain's Haori in the Seireitei!
When did a pink-haired captain appear in Seireitei? He even attended the captain change ceremony, but there was no one like that there!
Bazz-B a moment, and the other person realized what was going on. She turned around and asked, "What? There's another little mouse here?"
"Who are you calling a rat?!"
Provoked, Bazz-B disregarded whether the person opposite him was from Seireitei or not. He unleashed a pillar of Burning Finger and attacked the opponent. Not satisfied with that, Bazz-B conjured a crossbow and fired a Spirit Bow and Arrows at the opponent.
"So you're an adversary from a thousand years ago that we couldn't completely eliminate? Yamamoto Shigekuni is truly useless~" The man laughed nonchalantly. "Looks like I'll use you as a sacrificial offering for my sword, you little Quincy!"
The other party's tone was incredibly arrogant, with a trembling excitement in his voice. Before Bazz-B could think any further, a pink light flashed by, severing his pillar of fire and the Spirit Bow and Arrows in two. The infiltrator revealed her true form.
She had her hair tied in pink pigtails, a white ribbon around her forehead, and wore a black eye patch. Her long tongue lolled out arrogantly, and even with only one eye, her arrogance and disdain were fully expressed.
What surprised Bazz-B the most was that the pink-haired woman was holding a Zanpakuto with a five-pointed star guard, a pink blade, and hand straps—it was clearly not Zanpakuto in the Asauchi style.
Considering the empty knife rack behind the woman, how could this be?
Bazz-B knew that all the Zanpakuto stored here were left behind by people who had made great contributions to Soul Society after their deaths.
Although the swords had been transformed into Asauchi- style swords, they had been imbued with their masters' spiritual pressure over the years, making it impossible for them to form a bond with anyone else. Gradually, these useless but irreplaceable swords became nothing more than symbolic.
The Gotei 13 plans to use these Zanpakuto after the war to depict the hardships of the battle and to cultivate a love for the world in the next generation.
Now, why is it that this pink-haired girl with twin tails and an eyepatch is able to obtain this ancient weapon and transform it into her Zanpakuto? Is she some kind of genius in Soul Society?
All the doubts were resolved when Bazz-B noticed the small broken Chains on the other person's chest. This wasn't some genius academy at all; it was clearly the owner of this knife returning to find them, truly returning from Hell.
The enormous red star-cross radiance broke free from the constraints of the warehouse roof, shining brightly in the darkness.
At the same time, Bazz-B had already activated the power of the Vollständig, and the two club-like wings gave him great confidence.
Since the enemy had come to their doorstep, as one of the heads of the household, Bazz-B had no choice but to kill the woman wielding this unknown Zanpakuto in one fell swoop!
A maniacal grin spread across the woman's face. She made faces while pressing one hand to her cheek, commenting, "That's it, that's it! Of course, those Quincy I killed were all just as resentful!"
Back then? Quincy?
Bazz-B caught those two keywords, his opponent instantly lunged forward, slashing at his neck with a blade. He quickly used his Burning Finger 4 technique, forming a flaming saber to block the attack.
Just then, a maniacal laugh pierced Bazz-B's ears, "Remember, the one who killed you is Saito Furofushi!"
With a deafening roar, flames shot into the sky, and a violent fire tornado completely ripped off the roof of the warehouse. All the Bleach of Seireitei noticed this and rushed towards the academy without prior arrangement.
"Tch! Yamamoto Shigekuni torch? You're lucky, kid." Saito Furofushi, immortal figure emerged from the fire tornado. "You fire -Quincy, I'll come back for your dog's life next time!"
Saito Furofushi, echoed through the night sky of the Shino Academy. A crack appeared behind her, and she lay down inside.
That's not all. Most importantly, the Chains around Saito Furofushi chest extended indefinitely, with Zanpakuto wrapped around Chains. Along with these antique gadgets, they disappeared into the night sky of Soul Society.
