The Soul King's Collapse, The Power of the Quincies
Hell opened its gaping maw, and its mountain-like, sharp fangs fell precisely towards Tsuna and Ichigo. Hell had no intention of letting Tsuna and Ichigo live, nor did it want them to die easily.
Torture them is more important than kill them. Hell has precise control over its power against these two guys who are weaker than mosquitoes. All it takes is to tie Tsuna and Ichigo together and get them through.
As Tsuna and Ichigo were about to be devoured by Hell, Aizen helplessly lowered his eyelids, not wanting to see their final, wretched state—his final act of respect for Sawada Tsunayoshi.
Moreover, Aizen had to consider finding an opportunity to leave with the Soul King. The time was set at the moment when Tsuna and the others were bitten, which was the moment when the venting of Hell feelings was most intense, and also the moment when he was most relaxed.
But as Aizen's gaze lowered, he discovered something he couldn't handle: the seal on the Soul King was also cracking. If it was just a few cracks before, it was now broken into a spider web-like state.
Aizen can no longer even see the Soul King's appearance through the sealing crystal?
Is this a consequence of Hell's invasion of the World of the Living? Or had the Soul King already reached his limit?
There was no time for Aizen to think about these issues, because the fangs of Hell had already fallen, and he couldn't leave with the nearly shattered Soul King. He was afraid that the Soul King's seal would completely collapse the moment his finger touched it.
Bite!
A crisp sound, like the clash of metal, echoed in the sky above Karakura Town. Aizen, disregarding the horrific scene, hurriedly looked up and discovered an unclosable gap in the gaping maw of Hell. Within the gap, sharp fangs pierced Tsuna and Ichigo without making any progress.
"Tsuna, this is!" Ichigo exclaimed excitedly. He was overjoyed to have survived such a disaster, and the power that had blocked the attack from Hell was the blue Reishi patterns on their bodies.
Blut Vene!
The Quincy's defensive ability, the Blut Vene, covered Tsuna and Ichigo's bodies, making them like two hard pebbles, firmly blocking Hell's fangs.
Tsuna was not nearly as excited as Ichigo. If Ichigo could calm down, he would realize that deep down, their bodies were still powerless, and the Blut Vene was merely something that remained on the surface of their bodies.
In other words, someone used the power of the Blut Vene to save their lives.
"Adonais!"
Hell answered the question for Tsuna with his overwhelming roar, and Tsuna and Ichigo were both expelled by the Roar. The one who stepped in to protect them was none other than the Soul King Adonais.
This is what Tsuna is most worried about. When he came out of Hell, the Soul King relied on his the Almighty to open the rift in order to conserve every bit of power, even though he could have done it with just a little spiritual pressure.
At that time, Tsuna suspected that the Soul King's physical condition might be extremely delicate, and that using even a little more power could overturn the wedge that held up the three worlds.
Now that the Soul King has taken the initiative to save them using the Blut Vene, that balance has likely been broken.
To Aizen's astonishment, the Soul King's crystal seal instantly turned to dust, and the Soul King, in his limbed state, flew straight into the sky, using his spiritual pressure to catch Tsuna and Ichigo as they fell.
At this moment, no one except Hell felt joy. The Soul King's ability to move freely meant his seal had been broken. The wedge supporting the world had suddenly disappeared. What would become of the three worlds?
