The environment in Car 1 wasn't as luxurious as Lin Qi had imagined.

The carriage had twelve seats, two per row. It was more spacious than Car 2, but that was about it.

This train was only used in emergencies, so its interior wasn't designed for comfort.

Liu Xuan and Liu Li were seated at the very front. Lin Qi wanted to go say hello but was stopped by a bodyguard.

The bodyguard, whose entire body was implanted with A-level cybernetics, pointed to the seats in the back. "You sit there."

Having a seat was good enough. Lin Qi wasn't desperate to chat with Liu Xuan.

He sat in the seat the bodyguard indicated. There were still three empty seats in Car 1.

Inside the carriage, there were a total of four bodyguards.

Besides Lin Qi, everyone else was a member of the Liu Family.

Liu Xuan, Liu Li, and two young men Lin Qi didn't recognize.

Under the cover of Psychic Vision, Lin Qi was surprised to find that among the four Liu Family members, only Liu Xuan had a cybernetic left eye. The other three had no cybernetic implants at all.

"Liu Heavy Industries made its fortune with cybernetics, yet most of its family members haven't had implants?"

Lin Qi now knew of two types of people who resisted cybernetic implants:

One was the Wizard group, and the other was the Assassin's League. Could the Liu Family be involved with them?

He couldn't tell for sure yet. Lin Qi continued to expand his Psychic Vision, scanning the situation in the rear carriages.

Each train carriage was about thirty meters long. From the tail of Car 1, Lin Qi's Psychic Vision could only reach Cars 2, 3, and 4, and a small part of Car 5.

Within his Psychic Vision's range, Lin Qi didn't detect any suspected mercenaries.

But it was possible they were well disguised. If their gaze wasn't directly on Lin Qi, he wouldn't be able to accurately detect them.

Everything seemed normal. The train slowly started to move, and the exterior armor merged, covering the windows. The situation outside couldn't be seen from inside.

The armor material was of very high grade, A-level throughout, the same strength as Lin Qi's Short Tang Saber.

This indicated the strategic importance of this train to the cities of Red Fruit and Green Land.

If the mercenaries' target was this train, attacking from the outside would be pointless.

Even the legendary T0 mercenary groups would struggle to transport high-powered weapons near the train amidst the strict security of the two major corporations.

As long as the operative was smart, they would only choose to act from the inside.

"The Liu family isn't stupid. How could they easily let people in?"

What Lin Qi needed to do was play the role of Liu Xuan's acquaintance well, stay quiet, and wait in the carriage for the train to arrive at Greenland City.

He withdrew his Psychic Vision, closed his eyes, and rested, but did not meditate.

Meditation would cause Spiritual Energy Particles to gather. With close observation, even non-extraordinary individuals without Psychic Vision could sense the anomaly.

The train was traveling steadily. Based on Lin Qi's understanding, traveling by air would take about two hours between the two cities.

The train's speed wasn't fast, requiring nearly five hours.

Calculating the time, they were exactly halfway through the journey.

If there were indeed mercenary actions, this would be the best opportunity.

The train was located between the two cities, so any support from either side would take about an hour to arrive.

Lin Qi activated his Psychic Vision again, wanting to see how the situation was.

As soon as he activated Psychic Vision, Lin Qi almost jumped out of his seat.

Inside Car 2, the Liu family employees were in a state of death and injury. Even those who weren't dead were incapacitated and unconscious.

Cars 3, 4, and 5, however, were peaceful, as if they hadn't noticed anything unusual.

A mercenary team was setting up shaped charges at the junction between Car 1 and Car 2.

"Bad, this isn't bait, there's a mole!"

Lin Qi didn't dare to delay. His current location was within the blast radius. If detonated, Lin Qi would be at least seriously injured.

Tell Liu Xuan about the situation in Car 2?

His identity as a Wizard would likely be exposed.

The mercenaries' actions gave Lin Qi no time to hesitate.

He had to stop them!

He deployed his Psychic Vision. All four mercenaries had A-level cybernetic implants, but not full-body ones.

Full-body cybernetic conversion was too conspicuous, unsuitable for this kind of stealth mission.

With their strength, could they really take down those four bodyguards even if they entered carriage one?

The mercenary being urged, codenamed Demolition Dog, was securing the demolition device.

Demolition Dog spoke while working, "Don't rush me. This door is made of A-level material. The demolition device can't have the slightest deviation."

As he spoke, Demolition Dog suddenly felt severe discomfort.

The movement of his hands slowed.

Demolition Dog's AI provided feedback.

Gasping heavily, "Whistle, medical, save me!"

At this critical moment, his body was failing him?

He knew these fleshy parts were useless, he should have replaced them with a Cybernetic Body implant earlier.

As his vision darkened, Demolition Dog never received any medical assistance.

He looked at his teammates: Whistle, Breakthrough Rabbit, Collector Rat. All three teammates were clutching their chests and slowly collapsing to the ground.

Demolition Dog's eyes widened, and he let out a dying curse, "Damn it, there are extraordinary professionals on the train..."

Extraordinary professionals, apart from common classes like Martial Artist, were all devious and defied common sense.

The extraordinary and science were naturally at odds.

But this heart-stopping method, even for a seasoned mercenary like Demolition Dog, was unheard of.

In just three minutes, four battle-hardened mercenaries were dead.

They died silently, as if the Grim Reaper had casually swung his scythe as he passed by, taking their lives.

Three minutes passed, authority returned, and the train's intelligent system issued an automatic alert.

The four bodyguards immediately stood up.

Under Lin Qi's deliberate observation, within his Psychic Vision, two of the bodyguards subtly frowned as they stood up.

"Damn it! The Liu Corporation really is S.H.I.E.L.D.! There are moles among the bodyguards, and two of them!"

Lin Qi felt a splitting headache.
