The Train Conductor

Seated, Lin Qi made no move.

Lin Qi's Psychic Vision remained open, extending past the first carriage and looking towards the front of the train.

The Train Conductor wasn't in a hurry to deal with the two bodyguards. Instead, he used the train's equipment to communicate.

His communication was open and aboveboard, unlike Cybernetic Body augmented individuals who communicated entirely through brain-computer interfaces.

The other end of the communication was a middle-aged man Lin Qi had seen, but only on the news.

It was the chairman of Liu Heavy Industries, the direct controller of the company, Liu Xingyuan.

"There were some unexpected developments. The mercenaries seemed very familiar with my abilities and had overridden the train's internal permissions. On the display screens, everything in the carriages appeared normal. If they hadn't also encountered unexpected issues, the current situation for the Liu family and the Si Clan would likely be no different."
