Sitting in his seat, Lin Qi made no move.

There was no need to act in haste. Lin Qi did not believe the Liu Group had arranged only these four A-level implants as bodyguards.

"You guard the exits. Lin Qi, come to the front."

Liu Xuan's voice suddenly rang out, her tone completely unlike what Lin Qi remembered.

Calm, composed, decisive.

And precise in her judgment.

After her authority had been restored, Liu Xuan received footage from Car Two while raising the alarm.

Though she could not recreate the entire scene, she quickly reached a conclusion after seeing the cybernetic models implanted in the attackers.

This mercenary squad was merely bait. The crucial part of the operation had likely been hidden in Car One from the very beginning.

The four bodyguards had a problem!

"No, he cannot come over."

Liu Yue stopped Liu Xuan. He was one of the four Liu Family members in Car One.

Liu Heng, the remaining member, also spoke up. "Brother Yue is right. At a time like this, outsiders are highly suspicious."

The suppression of cybernetic bodies came from the "ordinary" man before him.

"Sinister Mental Power. This is not an Electromagnetic Signal Jammer—it is a Wizard's power."

Lin Qi "saw" a familiar power on the Train Conductor.

Psychic Vision could directly "see" the state of Mental Power. A Wizard's Mental Power was sinister, like a dark stream concealed beneath space itself.

Whenever a Wizard used his power, that sinister Mental Power extended and twisted like tentacles.

Lin Qi's own Mental Power was in a similar state.

Even if other Extraordinary Professions involved Mental Power, it would not manifest in this way.

"At least Third Rank. Fourth Rank is not impossible."

How many Extraordinary Items would it take to create a Wizard of this level?

Liu Li merely blinked. She had done nothing, so naturally she had made no mistake.

The Train Conductor looked at Liu Li, seemingly wanting to say something, but ultimately stopped himself.

Afterward, the Train Conductor's gaze fell on the two bodyguards attempting to act. "Ungrateful bastards."

With a wave of his hand, an invisible force arose and carried the two bodyguards into the locomotive. The Train Conductor had no intention of dealing with those two traitors in Car One.

With Psychic Vision enveloping them, Lin Qi discovered that when the two bodyguards "flew," the points of force seemed to originate from their cybernetic bodies.

Electromagnetic force?

At last, the Train Conductor's gaze landed on Lin Qi.

He took a step toward Lin Qi.

"Second Uncle, he has no problem." Liu Xuan's voice came from behind him.

The Train Conductor paused.

He withdrew his foot. "Is that an order?"

Liu Xuan fell silent for several seconds.

Just as the Train Conductor was about to step forward again, Liu Xuan said solemnly, "It is."

The Train Conductor immediately turned around and walked back the way he had come.

He reached the connection between the locomotive and Car One.

Before the metal door closed, the Train Conductor said, "You have a weakness. That is not a good thing. It will affect your judgment. Your second uncle believes he should leave your life sooner rather than later."

Liu Xuan said nothing as she watched the metal door slowly close.

Liu Yue and Liu Heng seemed to awaken from a dream. Looking toward Liu Xuan, they involuntarily trembled twice.

Liu Li immediately cut him off. "Shut up!"

Liu Yue instantly could not utter another word.

The remaining two bodyguards, as well as the Liu Family members including Liu Xuan, did not speak to Lin Qi.

It was as though Lin Qi did not exist.

That was fine too. At least it would reduce a great deal of trouble.

Lin Qi kept his Psychic Vision open, looking past Car One toward the locomotive.

The Train Conductor did not rush to deal with the two bodyguards. Instead, he used the train's equipment to communicate.

Fortunately, the Train Conductor was a Wizard, and one who disdained disguising himself.

He communicated openly, unlike cybernetic implants, which communicated entirely through Brain-computer Interface interaction.

On the other end of the communication was a middle-aged man. Lin Qi had seen him before, though only on the news.

He was Liu Heavy Industries' chairman and the company's direct controller, Liu Xingyuan.

"An accident occurred. The mercenaries seemed extremely familiar with my power. They overrode the train's internal authority. Everything inside the carriages appeared normal on the display devices. If they had not suffered an accident as well, the Liu Group's current situation would probably be no different from the Si Clan's."
