Guangleng continued to chair the meeting. "Wizard's request has been fulfilled. If anyone has anything else to add, speak up."
Lin Qi was about to ask for information about Si Ying, but Capitalist spoke before he could.
Capitalist cleared his throat. "I have some intelligence on Greenland City that the two of you may find useful."
Capitalist was a true hero! A good person, even if he'd picked a pretty bad codename.
"According to the Large Enterprise Alliance's latest intelligence, the current situation in Red Fruit City and Greenland City was mainly caused by intercontinental forces carrying out assassination attempts against the two corporate heirs."
"The Large Enterprise Alliance still doesn't know the motive behind the assassinations. They may be an attempt to seize resources in Asia's heavy industry and pharmaceutical sectors, but I don't think the truth is that simple."
"You're in Greenland City, so you should avoid direct contact with the Si Clan and the Liu Group as much as possible. But if you find yourselves in danger, you may be able to trade information for their protection within the city."
As Capitalist spoke, he looked toward Arthur.
According to Capitalist's intelligence, Arthur seemed to have provoked someone formidable in Greenland City—but not either of the two major corporations.
"The two companies' heirs are well hidden. On the surface, there are at least four or five suspicious candidates. The Si Clan's Si Ranan has already been successfully assassinated. Judging by the Si Clan's reaction, Si Ranan was most likely one of the genuine heirs."

Capitalist's intelligence confirmed most of what Lin Qi already knew and matched his own suspicions.
But it contained no description of Si Ying's personality. The guy was a lunatic, and the bait could already bite.
The only publicly known heirs of the Si Clan were the siblings Si Ying and Si Ranan. The rest of the candidates were so well hidden that outsiders didn't even know their names. All they could do was go through everyone in Greenland City with the surname Si and rule them out one by one.

Lin Qi's hidden brow twitched a few times.
This intelligence was way off.
There were more than two key figures from the Liu Group in Greenland City. It seemed one of Liu Xuan and Liu Li was being kept exceptionally well hidden.
Most likely, it was Liu Xuan. Lin Qi had overheard Liu Xingyuan's communication with the Train Conductor, which was how he'd learned how important Liu Xuan was to the Liu Group.
"As for the third person, they've only just appeared in the Large Enterprise Alliance's intelligence system."
"This person is named Lin Qi. His public identity is that of an A-level researcher. But according to our investigation, the Liu Group has tightly sealed his records and falsified his information. He is the only researcher to have arrived in Greenland City aboard the Red-Green Train..."

Capitalist continued. "According to a fairly reliable source, this researcher is very likely a core figure whom the Liu Group has kept hidden. He should be a member of the Liu Family who was kept out of sight from childhood. We can't rule out the possibility that he's an heir."
"In an emergency, you can use this information to seek protection from the Si Clan in the name of a Large Enterprise Alliance member. The Si Clan and the Liu Group aren't as close as they appear."
Lin Qi clenched his fist.
He'd never expected that one day his name would appear so openly at a Highest Level Security Meeting.
Someone was trying to set him up! Or perhaps they wanted to use Lin Qi as a shield.

The smiling face of a young man appeared in Lin Qi's mind.

No wonder Si Ying had sounded so certain before he left. No wonder Lin Qi hadn't run into any trouble all day.
So this was what he'd been waiting for.

After Guangleng asked once more if anyone had anything to add, no one spoke.
The meeting ended. As the members logged off one by one, Lin Qi clearly saw Guangleng give him a slight nod.
Guangleng clearly knew who he was.
Lin Qi said nothing and left the meeting.
In the washroom, Lin Qi looked at his reflection in the mirror, and an unfamiliar feeling rose within him.
A little anger, and a trace of murderous intent.
If he got the chance, Si Ying couldn't be allowed to live!
He activated Psychic Vision and stayed on guard.
After thinking for a moment, Lin Qi left his room and went to the door of the bodyguard next door, the one fitted with a full A-level Cybernetic Body.
He rang the bell.
Silence.
No answer.
But Lin Qi could clearly see that the bodyguard was just one door away.
"Open up. Your tailing skills are pretty bad—I spotted you ages ago. Liu Xuan sent you to protect me, right?" Lin Qi asked, keeping his tone tentative instead of stating it outright.
At last, the door slowly opened, and the bodyguard appeared with an awkward expression.
Bad at tailing?
The bodyguard had to admit he hadn't put his whole heart into protecting Lin Qi. He hadn't been as thorough as he could have been with his disguises.
But surely Lin Qi couldn't have noticed?
Faced with the facts, all the bodyguard could do was feel awkward.
"The young lady gave me the order," the bodyguard admitted, going along with Lin Qi's words without revealing too much.
Lin Qi got straight to the point. "I don't think my room is safe. Let's switch."

The bodyguard froze.
It was the first time anyone he was assigned to protect had made a request like that.
"That lunatic from the Si Clan today gave me a bad feeling. I'm afraid of dying," Lin Qi said bluntly.
The bodyguard was silent for a long while before agreeing.
Why not? What could possibly go wrong?
The bodyguard had no idea how serious the problem was. He just thought Lin Qi was being overly sensitive.
