Background
Lin Mo is the daughter of Lin Wucheng, the Lin Family head, and the niece of Steward Lin. Her family raised her around swordsmanship, viewing her talent as greater than that of her two elder brothers and hoping she could become a “female sword god.” 99 103
Before meeting Zhu Ping’an, Lin Mo believed her life contained little beyond cultivating the sword. She later reflects that their meeting showed her there were interesting things in life outside swordsmanship. 193
Appearance
Lin Mo has a petite, youthful appearance that initially leads Zhu Ping’an to mistake her for a minor, despite her being eighteen. She is often seen carrying a long or ancient sword. 98 168
- Fair, delicate features and a small build 98 102
- Commonly wears a black training uniform while practicing 98
- Her aura becomes noticeably sharper after a year of cultivation 168
- Carries an ancient sword later strengthened with dragon materials 170 173
Personality
Lin Mo is exceptionally earnest about swordsmanship. She values a worthy opponent above social convention, immediately becoming attached to Zhu Ping’an because he can match her technique for technique. Her enthusiasm is direct and childlike: after their first prolonged spar, she tells him she likes him because he is a good opponent. 98 99
Her innocence leaves her vulnerable to Zhu Ping’an’s deception; she sincerely mistakes explicit videos for advanced swordsmanship materials and studies them all night in pursuit of insight. Even after learning she was deceived, she refuses to identify Zhu Ping’an to her family because she promised not to reveal his name. 100 102 104
Lin Mo becomes increasingly decisive and protective. She defends Zhu Ping’an from Steward Lin and Lin Wucheng, confronts Cui Yi to aid Che Shiman, and later speaks openly against Xue Changli’s contempt for Zhu Ping’an. 99 117 136 177

Kill Word Sword Technique
The Lin Family’s inherited sword art is defined by intense killing intent. Lin Mo’s mastery is strong enough for others to recognize both her identity and her family lineage from the technique alone. 117 119
- Her sword light forces Cui Yi to respond with the Jue Tian Hand. 117
- She uses its killing intent to claim a Stone Platform during the Cangqiong Ancient Saint inheritance competition. 119

Story Role
Swordsmanship Sparring Partner
Lin Mo meets Zhu Ping’an when he accepts a mission to become her sparring partner. Their skills and cultivation are evenly matched, making each of them the other’s ideal opponent. She insists that he remain at the Lin residence so they can practice every morning. 98 99
The “Swordsmanship Manuals” Deception
Zhu Ping’an deceives Lin Mo into believing explicit videos are ancestral swordsmanship manuals containing the insights of foreign masters. Her determination to improve leads her to study thousands of recordings and take notes, until her family realizes she has been misled. 100 102 103 104
Lin Mo later attacks Zhu Ping’an after learning the truth, but he convinces her that the materials were intended to teach the union of opposing powers through his Immortal Devil Sword Technique. She apologizes and resumes cooperating with him. 115 116
Cangqiong Ancient Saint Inheritance
Lin Wucheng sends Lin Mo to Cangqiong Academy alongside Zhu Ping’an to compete for the Cangqiong Ancient Saint’s inheritance. During the competition, she distracts Cui Yi by joining Che Shiman’s side, enabling Zhu Ping’an to refine the Golden Cicada Spirit Blood. 106 117
She later secures a Stone Platform with the Kill Word Sword Technique. The technique’s presence causes Lin Wucheng to incorrectly conclude that she was the one who obtained the ancient saint’s legacy. 119 132
Four Fiends Mystic Realm Trial
After returning a year later as an early Third Tier martial artist, Lin Mo joins Cangqiong Academy’s trial team. Zhu Ping’an arranges for her ancient sword to be reforged and gives her dragon-hide protective equipment before the trial. 168 170 172 174
Within the Four Fiends Mystic Realm, Lin Mo fights alongside her team against foreign martial artists, supports Zhu Ping’an against Ruomu Jian, and is rescued by Zhu Ping’an after being trapped by Ruomu Jian’s spell. She later suffers critical injuries while using a desperate sword-based sacrifice technique and is saved alongside Leng Tianjiao. 189 193 195 196
