Background / History
Fuxi arrives at a valley on Mount Buzhou with his younger sister Nüwa after following a perceived opportunity. Guiyuan observes the pair from concealment before they discover the valley's hidden Innate Great Array. 18
After determining that the formation requires the combined force of Heaven, Earth, and Man, Fuxi calls upon the concealed third cultivator to cooperate. He takes the Heaven position in the resulting Small Three Talents Array, deducing the formation's movements, weak points, and crucial junctures while Nüwa stabilizes its changes and Guiyuan delivers the decisive attacks. Their effort lasts more than three thousand years before the array is broken. 19
The treasures within are divided among the three cultivators. Fuxi receives the Heavenly Yuan Pearl, while he proposes an equitable division of the Three Lights Divine Water and Nine Heavens Soil. Impressed by Guiyuan's knowledge and command of divine abilities, Fuxi invites him to Phoenix Mountain for a Dao discussion. 20
The journey is interrupted when Qilin envoys attempt to force Fuxi and Nüwa to meet the Ink Qilin. After Guiyuan kills the envoys and obscures the karmic consequences, Fuxi agrees to postpone the return to Phoenix Mountain and travel toward Mount Buzhou's summit instead. 21
While ascending Mount Buzhou, Fuxi struggles beneath Pangu's pressure and accepts Guiyuan's instruction in body refinement. He begins using the pressure as a means of tempering his body and innate Dao rather than merely resisting it. 22 At the mountainside, Fuxi endures a trial centered on the Heavenly Secrets Law while witnessing Guiyuan draw the far more severe assault of the Three Thousand Laws. 23 He later continues onward with Nüwa and Guiyuan after sensing another opportunity nearby. 24
Appearance
Fuxi is a handsome man who wears a Bagua Daoist robe. His demeanor is gentle and upright, with an ethereal aura associated with one who deduces Heavenly Secrets. 18
- In his original form, Fuxi possesses a long dragon tail covered in scales marked by profound runes. 22
- His innate Dao body originates from primal yang qi. 19
- He assumes his original form to better temper his Origin Foundation under Mount Buzhou's pressure. 22
Personality
Fuxi is analytical and cautious, preferring to calculate a situation before acting. He recognizes that forcing the Innate Great Array could destroy the fortune inside it, and therefore seeks a Three Talents solution instead of attempting a reckless breach. 19
He treats allies fairly and respectfully. After the formation is opened, he proposes sharing the remaining treasures with Guiyuan and invites him to Phoenix Mountain to exchange Dao insights. 20 Although he initially considers intervening when Guiyuan confronts the Qilin envoys, he accepts the practical reality that either compliance or refusal would entangle Phoenix Mountain in the Three Clans' conflict. 21
Fuxi is receptive to instruction despite his pride as an Innate Sacred. He readily learns Guiyuan's body-refinement method and recognizes its value as a direct path for strengthening his foundation. 22
Abilities & Skills
Heavenly Secrets Deduction
Fuxi cultivates the Heavenly Secrets Law, using deduction to perceive qi flow, calculate changes, and identify critical points within formations. 19 23
- Determines that the Empty Void Valley formation operates according to the Three Talents principle. 19
- Serves as the Heaven position of the Small Three Talents Array. 19
- Locates the formation's shifting nodes and signals the moment for Guiyuan's final strike. 19
- Endures Mount Buzhou's Heavenly Secrets Law trial, which pressures his spirit through the principles of deduction, change, and foreknowledge. 23
Formation Expertise
Fuxi can analyze and direct complex formations through runic calculations and the Eight Trigrams. 19
- Manifests an Eight Trigrams phantom above himself while extending his divine sense through the Innate Great Array. 19
- Coordinates with Nüwa and Guiyuan for more than three thousand years to safely dismantle the array without triggering its full backlash. 19
- Recognizes that brute force is unsuitable for the interconnected structure of an Innate Great Array. 19
Yin-Yang Body Refinement
Following Guiyuan's guidance, Fuxi learns to use his primal yang Origin Foundation and the pressure of Mount Buzhou to temper his physical body. 22
- Uses Heaven and Earth Yin-Yang Qi as a resource for tempering. 22
- Imprints innate Dao Script onto his body to strengthen his foundation. 22
- Adopts his original dragon-tailed form because the method focuses on refining one's Origin rather than the Innate Dao Body. 22
