Yu Sui left the Nangong household and became entangled in the hunt for Gongsun Qi after he killed Nangong Grandmother. As Gongsun Qi fought Zhongli Ci in Tongtang, Yu Sui battled Xuan Kui forces in the Thirty-Six Streets.

• Gongsun Qi’s flames destroyed the Golden Armored Army, while Chu Jin’s Xuan Kui group was surrounded and badly wounded in the mountains.
• Yu Sui exposed Lady Su’s Wuxiang Snake plot, prompting Nangong Ming to strip Yu Sui of her title and inheritance rights before she refused to enter the family genealogy.
• Wu Huaiwei claimed Yu Sui as her disciple and took her from the mansion, but Yu Sui later broke into the palace Stargazing Hall and escaped Qin Shan’s pursuit.
• Gongsun Qi killed Nangong Grandmother, a Ghost Dao Sage, and Nangong Ming brought Yu Sui back to the mansion as the household mourned.
• Han Ziyang led Gongsun Qi and his companions into Tongtang, where they found Zhao Yuxiang’s broken Divine Wood Sign and Gongsun Qi fought Zhongli Ci.
• Zhongli Ci trapped Gongsun Qi inside a military formation, while Yu Sui and Chu Jin were sent to the Thirty-Six Streets to relieve the forces there.

Yu Sui killed Lady Su, reclaimed the Primordial Soil, and traveled with Mei Chengyu while investigating the Black Fortress and its Lan Poison trade. As Yu Sui confronted the fortress’s rulers, Wan Qi and his companions fought their way toward Shi Yuezhen, and the collapsing Mountain Wall brought the groups together underground.

• Yu Sui killed Lady Su and escaped the Nangong Mansion with Gongsun Qi and Han Ziyang as Black Flame destroyed Zhou Kingdom.
• Yu Sui buried the Mute Woman with Mei Chengyu, accepted his offer to leave with him, and secretly told Zhongli Que she was the World Destroyer.
• Yu Sui and Mei Chengyu took Zhao Xiang in, helped her kill Blind, and learned that Wan Guiyue controlled the Lan Poison business through Pu Heng.
• Yu Sui and Mei Chengyu followed Gu Gan and Xun Zhiya to the Black Fortress, where Yu Sui entered the Underground City with A Ling while Gu Gan discovered his connection to the fortress and its Poison God.
• Yu Sui confronted A Ling, but Mujin sent them into Purgatory, where Yu Sui killed A Ling and Mujin before defeating the Wang Army and promising A Ling a new life.
• Kong Yiyi, Wan Qi, and Shen Liu fought Luo Bo as they traveled toward the Black Fortress, and Shen Liu’s Mountain-borrowing Gold Gu made Luo Bo’s body burst apart after he devoured Shen Liu.
• Luo Bo revived and told Xiang Zhiyuan that Shi Yuezhen had fused with Xin Pool and was presumed dead, then the Mountain Wall collapsed and Wan Qi woke underground before Mei Chengyu.

Mei Chengyu and Xing Chun reconciled enough to remain friends who could share meals, while Yu Sui and Gu Gan’s conflict brought the Black Fortress to ruin. After the Lan Poison outbreak and the escape from Xin Pool, Zhongli Que took Kong Yiyi and Xing Chun toward the city as Mei Chengyu pressed deeper through the mountain.

• Mei Chengyu revealed the Fire-Absorbing Ice Stone but refused to hand the sacred stones to Shuizhou, then accepted Xing Chun’s offer to remain friends who could still eat together.
• Yu Sui entered A Ling’s memories, taught her basic techniques, and used her to reach the Xin Pool, where Gu Gan and Xun Zhiya uncovered the Huichong experiments and Yu Sui confronted Gu Gan.
• Yu Sui escaped the Dragon Ladder battle, but A Ling drew the Insect Mother’s attention, and the Hui Insects flooded the fortress as Gu Gan and others tried to get out.
• Mei Chengyu ignited the Return Soul Incense as Gu Gan broke the barrier, triggering a Lan Poison outbreak that destroyed the formation and sent survivors fleeing the Underground City.
• Yu Sui and Gu Gan redirected the Lan Poison gas toward the wasteland, where Yu Luo burned it with the Yin Yang Double Fish as Sheng Zui, Old Man Zhu San, and Zhongli Que watched.
• Sheng Zui’s men tried to seize the people who emerged from the well, but Luo Bo freed Kong Yiyi and her companions, and Zhongli Que took Kong Yiyi and Xing Chun to the city.

Across chapters 476 to 500, characters in many separate storylines faced battles, schemes, revelations, and personal decisions. The stretch ended with several conflicts moving toward their next confrontation, including Gu Yao rushing to protect A Wan and Wang Hao reaching the Seven Water Army camp.

• Yang Dongqing agreed with his father about the space’s development, while Mo Ren used Remiel to demonstrate an attack and the Terminator revealed to Chen Feng that he controlled fate.
• Li Yu unleashed the Star Lord’s Swift Sword technique, while You Lizi ordered the SSS Group members to open fire and Du Bian’s mental attack left Fu Hongshi’s mind blank.
• Ying Zheng discovered a divine artifact in Ying Kingdom and considered the bloodshed its removal could cause, while Gao Yifan began taking revenge on Li Wei.
• Zhang Ruyun abandoned his plan to take the two brothers hostage and fled with Xiang Qiu, while Wu Yunzhao and Lu Bu chose Wang Meng’s plan as their best option.
• Qin Yibai stopped refining during the sixteenth sixty-year cycle and opened his eyes after the twentieth cycle had passed.
• The Six-Eared Macaque revealed his Golden Immortal-level strength and fought eighteen opponents while Sun Wukong watched.
• The officials enthroned Li Yi as emperor, named the new era Daye, and reburied Li Yu and the former Crown Prince in Xingping County.
• The Nether Spring Blood Demon turned three balls of light into Zhang You, Danchenzi, and the Xuantian Sect’s leader, then charged forward.
