Background

Tian Zhaodi was a twenty-eight-year-old woman from Henan who dropped out of middle school and moved to Ning City for work. Her family exploited her income, while her younger brother Tian Baocheng lived off her support and repeatedly harassed her for money. Her hardship left her physically underdeveloped and deeply insecure, but also gave her a resilient soul and strong adaptability. 260 278

Zhang Hao intervened to prevent Tian Baocheng from troubling her further, then selected her as a potential Space-Time Wanderer. She chose the name Zhao Di, retaining the original pronunciation as a remembrance of her past. 260 263
