Background and History

Su Li was a gaming enthusiast selected as one of the first 100 global beta testers for Eternal Technology’s hyper-realistic MMORPG, Eternal Realm. While creating her character, she chose a random race in hopes of obtaining a rare bloodline, only to become a weak Little Skeleton instead. 1

Her in-game body was resurrected by Rosalia, a malnourished novice necromancer. After Lainer threatened Rosalia, she carried Su Li to the Forest of Death and left him near the Undead Mountain Range, promising to find a way to resurrect him properly. 1

Initially treating the world as a game, Su Li rapidly developed through cautious exploration, scavenging, sword practice, and exploiting her undead traits. Her perspective changed after Rosalia summoned her for help: Su Li saved Rosalia from Lainer, enabled her revenge, and accepted an equal contract with her. 3 19 20 21

The effects of Eternal Realm gradually manifested in reality. After a period of physical abnormalities and medical examinations, Su Li underwent a complete physical transformation into a woman. Soon afterward, monsters from the game appeared in Dasheng City, prompting Su Li to protect Su Lin Yue and cooperate with Bureau 749. 36 38 42 44

Su Li is a cautious, strategic player who strongly favors information gathering, safe positioning, and exploiting enemy weaknesses over direct confrontation. She repeatedly chooses lower-risk quest options, sends subordinates to test suspicious objects, and retreats when an opponent’s strength is unclear. 6 12 32

She is also resourceful and opportunistic. Su Li experiments with unusual materials, turns Crimson Rot into throwable explosives, exploits her immunity to undead hazards, and uses game knowledge to solve ancient mechanisms. 4 6 15 33

Despite her cynical humor and tendency to view battles as efficient “grinding,” Su Li is deeply protective of those close to her. Her decisions to answer Rosalia’s summons, join Bureau 749, and accelerate her growth are all driven largely by the desire to protect Rosalia, Su Lin Yue, and those she considers allies. 19 21 42 44

The Blood Boiling skill can overwhelm her usual restraint. While affected, she becomes manic, reckless, and fixated on close combat, though she later feels intense embarrassment over her behavior. 46 48 50
