Background / History
The Asura God was one of the five God Kings of the Douluo God Realm, governing the powers of Slaughter and Judgment. His divine position was at the God King level, and he possessed a reputation as the God Realm's foremost offensive deity. 174 176 243
Having grown tired of life in the God Realm, he sought to leave and roam the universe without losing the strength granted by his divine position. To achieve this, he planned to destroy Martial Soul Hall, seize the immense Power of Luck concentrated there, and leave his divine position to a successor. He had already arranged for an otherworldly soul to enter Douluo Continent as part of this scheme. 174 182
When Yun Yuan began creating a God King position through faith, the Asura God recognized that Yun Yuan's ascension would threaten his designs. He attacked with chains containing the laws of Slaughter and Judgment in an attempt to prevent the new godhood from forming. 175
Yun Yuan nevertheless reached level 100 and confronted him. The Asura God's opening attack was frozen and shattered, after which he summoned the Asura God Sword to fight Yun Yuan directly. The clash drew the other four God Kings to Douluo Continent, and the Sea God publicly accused him of violating God Realm rules. 176
At the God Realm Committee's hearing, the Asura God admitted to interfering with Yun Yuan's ascension. The other four God Kings voted to temporarily expel him from the Committee and admit Yun Yuan in his place. 179
After choosing Tang San as his inheritor, the Asura God accelerated Tang San's development through the Nine Trials of Asura and ultimately transferred the Asura divine position to him. Despite no longer holding the position, he retained hidden divine methods and continued plotting against Yun Yuan. 226 229 242 245
He secretly released the Golden Dragon King from the God Forbidden Land to draw Yun Yuan back to the God Realm, while expecting Tang San to destroy Martial Soul Hall and seize its Power of Luck. Yun Yuan exposed this plan, and the Asura God was publicly reported killed after Yun Yuan's breakthrough to the Supreme God King realm. 245 248 249 251
A later account establishes that the old Asura God subsequently left the God Realm and remained alive in the endless void for ten thousand years. The circumstances behind his survival after the earlier public declaration have not yet been explained. 321
Appearance
The Asura God is a towering man associated with blood-red divine power, killing intent, and an oppressive aura of slaughter. He is usually seen in dark-red or blood-red battle armor. 174 226
- Dark-red armor and robes. 174 176
- Crimson divine eyes described as cold and severe. 176
- His presence manifests as tangible blood-colored waves of slaughter energy. 176
- His Divine Sense appears in blood-red armor amid a purgatory-like space. 226
Personality
The Asura God is calculating, ambitious, and intensely possessive of power. Although he claims authority over judgment, he repeatedly acts outside the God Realm's rules when those rules obstruct his personal ambitions. 174 176 179
He is patient in long-term manipulation, arranging Tang San's lineage, inheritance, trials, equipment, and eventual conflict with Martial Soul Hall. His plans treat both allies and successors as expendable tools: his intended outcome was to seize Martial Soul Hall's Power of Luck, pass the Asura position to Tang San, and leave Tang San behind to bear Yun Yuan's retaliation. 182 196 197
His hostility toward Yun Yuan began as fear that Yun Yuan would disrupt his plan, then became a personal grudge after Yun Yuan's successful ascension and admission to the God Realm Committee. 174 179 197
Even after being exposed, he initially attempted to abandon the God Realm and disclaim further interest in Spirit Hall's Power of Luck rather than accept responsibility for his actions. 248

God Realm Committee Punishment
After the other God Kings intervene, the Asura God admits his violation of the rules. He is temporarily expelled from the God Realm Committee, while Yun Yuan is elevated to Committee membership. 179
The Tang San Inheritance Plan
The Asura God makes Tang Xiao his High Priest, engineers circumstances around Tang Hao and A-Zhu, and selects Tang San as his inheritor in Slaughter City. He gives Tang San the Nine Trials of Asura, the Asura Demon Sword, and the Asura Battle Armor. 196 197 226 229 241
Transfer of the Asura Position

Final Scheme and Death
To lure Yun Yuan away from Martial Soul Hall, the Asura God releases the Golden Dragon King from the God Forbidden Land.
